Enjoyed hearing your thoughts about Strangelove! The only one I've tried was 'Silence the Sea', and only on a blotter. It triggered a most vivid memory of the Pacific Coast at sundown-- crashing waves, salt-sprayed rock formations, and shore-washed seaweed. I found it ominous, magestic and... comforting(?!) in equal measure. I was a bit shocked by Fragrantica reviews-- primarily negative-- because, price point aside, I found it to be quite special. Would love to smell the rest of the line, but I fear falling in love with fragrances that are so cost prohibitive. (Sigh)
Thank you for your review. I've just bought a 15ml of Silence the Sea which I adore. Like the reviewer in your video, I'm only going to wear it at home though as I'm too scared to wear it out!
Great reviews as always Mr P! :D I love this brand myself, I find them all very competently done and unique. Lostinflowers is one of my favourites, I found myself going back to the slightly cheesy, paint thinner/varnish nuances of Gardenia expressed in that perfume. Evident a lavish amount of gardenia enfluerage must have gone into it.
Fall Into Stars is my favorite fragrance that utilizes read oud. It’s gorgeous and a masterpiece imo. I was lucky enough to snatch a 15 ml some years ago before there was a steep price increase and I treasure it in my collection. It’s unfortunate they are so expensive or I would have gotten a larger bottle. Even now, a 15 ml is out of my budget in terms of quantity received when buying a bottle.
I remember testing these in Harrods and I liked one of them very much, but I don't remember which one. Anyway, I regrettably asked one of the sales staff the price and quite possibly my real smile turned fake, then froze and I lost the sensation of carrying my wallet in my pocket.
I haven't tried anything from the line, save the Meltmyheart oil, which I bought for a bit of a steal. It was a blind buy (long story) but I love wearing it. I wouldn't replace it at these prices though.
Big fan of Christophe Laudemiel's work here. Although I get a completely different thing on Lost in Flowers so your interpretation is interesting. I will see if I can smell what you get (I've never smelt a real LOTV before though).
Great review of a very interesting brand. My fav is Dead of Night and Fall into Stars. Silence the Sea was absolutely putrid. What a disgusting scent. Marine accords gone haywire. I scrubbed it off.
The funniest thing is I tried Secretions Magnifique recently and was talking to a friend, telling her that Silencethesea does a better (and stinkier) job of what SM was trying to do.
Would be interesting to sample Shalini too. Similar concept, supposed high quality materials, excellent perfumer and insane prices.
Yes, I’ve got their samples too. Might have to do a video on them.
Thanks for watching.
@@Persolaise Yes, pls cover Shalini too.

Silence The Sea is certainly quite unique.
Thanks very much for watching.

Well, maybe one day the time will be right.
Thanks for watching.

They're all quite intriguing. Thanks very much indeed for watching.
Melt My Heart melted my heart until I saw the price and had a “melt down”.
Ha! I don’t blame you.

There's a lesson to be learned here: get in while brands are still quite young.

Yes, those prices are quite... numbing.

The prices are pretty unapproachable.
Silence the sea se prueba en la piel, en bloter no es lo mismo
Thanks very much for watching.

I love how differently we can all 'read' the same scent.
What a show!
Thanks for watching.
I think they're all pretty good, I bought Melt my Heart and Lost in Flowers, but Silence The Sea almost finished me!
They’re fascinating pieces.
I tried only two, which I thought were really good, but when I saw the price of these perfumes, I knew they were unaffordable to me.

Silence The Sea is certainly not very silent.
Thanks for watching.
Silence the Sea sounds terrible, but in the best way!! 🤣
It's quite fascinating.
Killer kittens. 🤭 MeeOW. 😼
Quite!

Oh wow, that's amazing.
