I'm a 44 year old male. I was sexualy abused by my older sister's boyfriend when I was a child of about 5 or 6 years old on various ocasions. It was and is something that impacted my life in a negative way more than anything else. I'm still working through it every day to date. That being said, I think that anything is on the table when it comes to comedy. Nothing NOTHING should be restricted or off the table.
And for those who have never been through what I've been through yet feel the urge to stand up against child abuse humor, please sit the F>@% down. I find jokes about Michael Jackson and Catholic priest hilarious.

You could argue that cancel culture has been around for AWHILE. Quite frankly, someone like Patrice was never really allowed to have a big career as it is. He’s talked about it a lot, where he didn’t want to sell out to be accepted by higher levels of show business, and that if he wanted to be successful then he would never be able to just be himself. Patrice had a few specials, but his best credit on screen was being an extra on chappelle’s show, or Hannity I guess. He never “ joined the club” and sold out, so Hollywood was never there for him
Patrice was brilliant, that woman was sssoo annoying. That pirate joke was hilarious. This fake woke outrage has gotten out of hand will ruin everything if we let it.
I would absolutely give my left hand to have patrice comeback and give us 24 hours of his idea of cancel culture in 2021.

Love these comedians. A small minority with a big media following is trying to cancel anyone who disagrees with their platform. It's entertainment just don't watch shows you don't like. It's not an obligation to listen to anyone

It's making a come back. People are honestly just done with the overly sensitive shit. Like, being woke is perfectly fine but there has to be a line and being able to accept that people are going to say shit that you may not like. Doesn't mean you need to lead a crusade.
@@BoardWalkToke yeah, it’s almost like a rebel movement, and I’m very happy to see it rise. People are done with this modern ‘you can’t say that’ attitude to comedy which forces humour to be diluted. Comedy is meant to be jokes, which come from surprise, and you get no surprise if everything has been filtered so far that you know what’s coming

We need more comedians to go debate on Fox. They can articulate WAY better than any Fox host. They would put a stop to that pretty quickly. They are against cancel culture, so Fox thinks they're an ally. They ARE NOT.

Patrice O'Neal was spot on. Someone at a comedy show should be able to say whatever they want, no matter how offensive, without any fear from the PC police. If it isn't funny the audience will let them know and I'm sure they won't repeat it. But if we start policing speech there will be no end.

People have gotten so sensitive nowadays... I was abused as a child and still I have a pretty dark sense of humor and find a lot of s*it funny. Comedy is the one thing where we can laugh at the absurdity of some f*cked up situation. Doesn't mean we are all about to do said messed up stuff! This PC and cancel culture will just end up with entertainment being dead and people becoming soulless shells of their former selves who just have no fun in life. Seems like a sad and unfulfilling existence to me.

You can make a joke about rape murder people dying racism and still understand that it's a bad thing the point is to just be able to laugh and make something light out of something bad I was raped when I was 16 and I'm not offended by any of this it's in good context it's not like this guy is saying rape should happen he's making light of it and theres nothing wrong with it have these people even talk to survivors of it and I say survivors and not victim for a reason survivors get through it and live their lives victims sit with it you only have one life and I plan to be happy and laugh at what I think is funny and if I don't who cares not my type of comedy then lets not make a mountain out of a hill
Dave Chappelle has had to put up with a lot of crap. If anyone needs to be cancelled would be the people who relentlessly harrassed/threatened him. Comedy is doomed because of the woke idiots. Ricky Gervais hit it on the head.
