Enjoying this series - thank you! I took delivery of one of these (German made European model) today! Thankfully it looks in better shape but will still need work.
I have painted or touched everything that is metal. The cover and top cover are plastic. It almost looks like a plastic layer with a fiberglass interior but I am not certain.
That's quite a transformation, looks so much better now. I think you should leave the scratch, as it would show if it was patched and some patina on these old machines gives them a bit of character.
Thanks Kevin! I think that is exactly what I am going to do. Rather than "Like New" it will be "Like it was" when it was part of the Alameda school system.
Yeah Stefan, it can be crazy. Canada packages are even worse. Happily the CRTC chips came yesterday instead. Originally they were tracking as the 5th, then the 3rd and they came on the 1st so better than I feared.

Came for the thing, stayed for the stuff.
Really great job! I would leave the scratches. It gives the PET character!
I appreciate that Frank. I think that is what I will do!
@@RavenWolfRetroTech was just thinking, perhaps just a touch of clear nail polish to protect the metal.

Thanks, I agree.

Thanks so much Simon!
Awesome work and video!! I'm looking forward towards your next video! Thanks for sharing
Thanks Rudy! I am dying to get it running now!
Looks great!
Thank you!
I think you should leave the little scratch on the cover gives it character rather than looking brand new

If you happen to know anyone who has a spare left shift button for his Commodore Pet I know a guy who's looking for one...
Lol yeah. There is supposed to be one coming but it keeps getting hung up. I did get the label recently though so the shift key may turn up soon.
@@RavenWolfRetroTech I might have to rehab my pet like this. Looks amazing. Well done!
West Coast Customs What a legend you are!
