Okay, I've heard of guys being _too_ honest. This might be the best example of that. And delivered so casually too. I mean, this video has made me glad that most of the outdoor knives in my collection are from ESEE, with just a couple being from TOPS. Though I like the knife enough that I bought it. Just under $140.oo for a brand new one from one of your Authorized Dealers. But yeah, already have an excellent kydex sheath maker in mind. He's done projects for me in the past, so I know this knife will end up in a proper sheath. Sorry but your nylon sheaths have become like an unfortunate and universal joke. No reviewer on UA-cam likes them. The nicest compliment any single one of them has given your nylon sheaths is, _"It's adequate."_ Honestly at this point, with the models that don't come with leather or kydex sheath, you should just ship your knives with thick cardboard sleeves at slightly reduced MSRP. Everyone including you knows that your customers are just going to go the custom route for an aftermarket leather or kydex sheath. So why bother?
Looks very good. I'm considering to get this one over the Benchmade Arvensis. Maybe you could do a demonstration video to show how it handles different tasks. I also like this format of presenting your products. Greetings from Germany
A few who review your knives have pointed out on some of the knives the spine near the blade tip is heat treated hard enough to utilize a striker effectively enough to get by. They've gone on to prove it. I don't recall any success trying the finger choil though.
Is the person saying this blade is skeletonized ?! Can anyone point me to a photo or video in which the Apache handle is disassembled? More generally, does anyone know which TOPS models have a handle where the only hollow parts are the screw holes? Thank you.
I haven't been able to find any real reviews of this knife online. To you guys that own one how has it held up? I'm strongly considering this knife for my bug out bag.
logan nick, i know right, this is one coolest knives tops offers and seems to be overlooked by all the major knife review channels, dont know why this thing ROCKS!!!;-)
Ha ha...you had El Jefe watching you the whole time. You can't be trusted Craig. But I ordered this new version of the AD. Who knows the life this knife will lead from tactical to woods. YAY
TOPS Knives Oh I already know that feeling. I get the best customer service because I have 6 guys hovering over me at all times. ha ha ha ha You've guys are the best.
I've got its little brother, and it's a great do-everything, honest and simple knife, only the sheath comes a bit short. It's serviceable, I'm just not that into it. And I feel like I got away with robbery when I bought it : it was the equivalent of $45 , on sale. I couldn't believe my luck. :D I always considered getting the bigger one... Not because I _need_ it, but... WANT ! Gotta learn how to kydex and/or leather, next. No one makes custom sheaths over here, and shipping from the states is expensive. Edit : I just checked on the TOPS website... $114.62 shipping for this knife. No worries, it was just out of curiosity (there are still a few with the "regular" handle scales floating around here, no rush), but there might be a problem with the quotes on your website. That or France gets its deliveries via actual apache helicopters. ;D
@@fathersonsurvival Air wolfe. Same basic design and handle, blade's just a bit shorter and thinner. To me, it's the bastard love child of a Becker bk7 and an Ontario rat5. Still have it, hapy with it. I still didn't buy that overkill version... maybe, just maybe...
Why not go with the same sheath as the Desert Nomad,it's a good quality sheath i.m.o? B.t.w: love the knife but you say the top isn't heattreated ,is the(my) Desert Nomad heattreated ?
This knife wouldn't fit in the same sheath as the Desert Nomad because there is nothing on the spine of it for the retention strap to hold on to. Because the Desert Nomad is a stainless steel, it is heat treated all the way through. The Apache Dawn is also heat treated, it's just a differential heat treat (also called zone tempered) so that the edge is harder than the spine, making it so the blade will take an edge and stay sharp, but the spine is softer, making the knife stronger overall.
Damn ! Postmen can be careless, but that'd be a new achievement right there : you guys make friggin' sharpened prybars, I still haven't managed to even scratch the coating. o_O
I orderd a amageddon and a bob, they was not straight so i sent them back. They will send me new ones in return. The onnline store was Lamnia in Finland.I order from Norway.
I like the design, the look, and the weight. Looks like it would make a great survival knife with out being to bulky. Im spoiled with the 90 degree spine and something that can do light to mid batoning.
Ah yes, preferring that it be hardened to take a 90 degree spine makes sense. We do a differential heat treat on our 1095 because it makes the overall knife stronger since it's not brittle up to the spine. That actually tends to be a good thing for batoning (the knife would be less likely to snap. If it were going to fail, it would bend not break, which is safer for the user), not such a good thing for people who like to use their spine for ferro rods or as a scraper.
This and the apache falcon, make a good pair. Plus the desert nomad are my favourite knives. Well done sir!
Which do you like more the desert nomad or the Apache dawn?
Apache falcon is so awesome and the weight to the knife is really nice

Outstanding brother
great looking knife keep up the good work.
WOW I just found my next knife!!! great video!
..nice..that's my favorite tops knife..How many are manufactured on this run? I know they'll probably go quick!
not a huge first run, and you're right. It does look like it's going to go pretty quick.

The Apache's Hellfire missiles weren't enuff firepower so they needed a blade! Looks nice!
haha. The missiles definitely do the job, but who doesn't like an awesome knife, right?
Where is the long version of this video? There is no reviews on this thing. I want anything you can give me on it. Thanks.
this knife is a beast, I love the thickness, I'm gonna buy it!! :o)

Got that knife and love the shape and feel of it. Will make a real Good Knife indeed.

Was my connection bad or was this filmed by the same company that did the Original Godzilla Movies? Awesome knife though :)

You should make some knives in A2 or 52100 or 3v . Good luck with sales rwb out .
awesome knife! ! When's the new steel eagles going to be released???
Not sure yet. Still have to fix some things with the Kydex so that the saw teeth don't catch while it's being drawn.
TOPS Knives how about you guys just sell me one now with the old sheath ... Haha thanks for the info!
Do you have a contract with the D.O.D for some of your knives?

Were they used or new? It's extremely unlikely that knives would get bent in shipping.
I need one
Love your knives but hate your sheaths
It's a good knife. Better than the SRK. BY FAR!
What a volume?!!!
