Fantastic time capsule. Recognise so many places and landmarks. City and Badger Line buses, the Hippodrome, John Lewis, Avon House North as it was known then, Whitefriars, a glimpse of the harbour... and crystal clear quality and at night too. If that was done on a VHS camcorder I would be very surprised, the quality is too good. 👌
Ah man, the month of my fourth birthday ! My parents would have been getting the decorations out, the smell of the christmas tree, id love to go back just for a few hours
Lived in Bristol from 1981 - 2018 and its really gone down the drain in the last 15+ years or so, maybe more. Full of trendy people from London and I just did not relate to it in the end, glad we left in 2018 for South Wales.
When you could actually drive around town.. Good times.

Looks so clean in comparison to those areas now
Proves that History in any context is fascinating
Back when the city center was buzzing with activity, great shops, good pubs and amasing night life ❤😊
Better then than now.
'Five Guys Named Moe' was on at Bristol Hippodrome in November 1994, so I presume this was filmed then.

The good old days
Before the internet , mobile phones, online dating, traffic calming, net zero, store closures. People all went out and actually met each other.
Wow John Lewis window displays at Christmas were so wonderful. I miss that era. Broadmead is a dump now.

Love how absolutely nothing has changed

Doesn't actually look so different than it does now, the most striking difference is the vintage of the road vehicles
