Hello !
First, I didn't have the autofocus on for this episode and the next one, and be sure I was the first being mad at it. So I fought a lot of hours and that's the best I managed to do to sharpen the picture for you to see things without disturbing too much the usual set of things. BUT DON'T WATCH IT FULL SCREEN 🙈 I had to fight, in particular for THESE episodes. I didn't know at all we would spend time, right now in the narrative arc, with the Todoroki's family !
It was interesting to have all of the Endeavor's moments we had through all these seasons put together like that at the beginning : to see that he already evolved between season 1 and now, and to understand that he's thinking about all of that, he's "working" on it inside. They mentioned Toya before but here they gave more informations and at this point, my theory is that Toya was between Natsu and Shoto (terms of ages), and he died because of Endeavor (directly or not), maybe because he tried to push him like for Shoto and it ended bad ? I love Natsu, already, because his hate for Endeavor is because of how his dad treated his brother and blocked Shoto from having a relationship with him.

16:28 It was far from the first time we heard Rei's (Todoroki's mother) voice. I mean, we heard it even earlier in this episode, unless you mean her voice in the present and not in flashbacks, but then, she was talking to Fuyumi and Natsuo in s4 finale when they were visiting her. We heard her voice in s2 as well.
A helpful thing to note is that Touya is wearing a Japanese middle school uniform in that photo, so he was in his early teenage years when he died.
Yes I meant right now : since that traumatic experience she had, I have the impression she was almost mute, no ?

But she was already doing much better at the time Shouto finally visited her (it was said that she spoke with him there), and as I already mentioned, she talked with the other kids when they visited her in s4. She was the one who told Natsuo about Endeavor bringing her flowers and that their father isn’t trying to leave them behind.

@@LauraReactions no, she directly speaks to them. She talks about Shouto giving her letters, discusses weather with them, talks to Natsuo about asking a doctor if she might get a phone and etc. It's season 4, episode 25, the first scene of the episode!
Hellish family, indeed. But as I said before, this is an adjustment period for Endeavor....
