I'm Thanking you as a Kurd for sharing this Kurdish song. I really love rastak band. Kurdish dance and Kurdish melody are famous because it's full of energy. I think it's better if you make a new play list for kurdish song. One of the oldest languages in Iran.
Amazing Rastak as always! Heard and seen this performance before but one cannot stop smiling, dancing and feeling happy with it, over and over again! Great reaction, thx Mace!
Thank you!!! I really enjoyed your commentary… I am Kurdish. You are right it’s like rap and Kurdish people call it “Band”. This the music of love. The songs are about love. Also the music of Kurdish folk dance where everyone joins in hand in hand. There’s so much art in there and it’s enjoyable. Please include more Kurdish music on your channel. We want the world to understand our passion and culture and know us and enjoy our music and folklore. 🙏🏼 ♥️
Dear Mace, first of all, thank you for your reaction to Rastak cuz they are wonderful! As you may know, this song is Kurdish, not Farsi. However, the band also has some works like "Hele Mali" in Farsi, which absolutely is fantastic and among the best. Cheers, Javad living currently in beautiful St. John's, NL.
As someone who loves reading about history, I believe the traditional Iranian/Persian music got its true form during Sassanid Empire of Iran (founded in the 2nd century). The Sasanian kings were patrons of art and philosophy, during the reign of Khosrow I (one of the greatest Persian kings), art and science flourished throughout the empire, and by the time of Khosrow II (Grandson of Khsrow I), Persian music reached its golden age with having some of the best Persian musicians of all time such as Nakisa, Barbad, Sarkash and many other. I hope that helps, also, please react to "Man O To" by Ghazal Shakeri, anytime you can.
Could u recommend me some fantastic historical books about the ancient empires of Iran, please? I know that there r lots of these sorts of books out there, but I want to read the books that r more factual and reliable. I'm really interested in historical books, so I'd really appreciate that🙏
Beautiful one Mace... "That Drum" is called the 'Daff'; The 'a' pronounced as in 'raff'. it's an Iranian musical instrument. Very deeply rooted in ancient times and mystical Sufi dances and music. Actually, this goes back to thousands of years; The Kurdish and Luri's rich cultures and languages from Central, Western and Southern Iran have had the most dominant influence on Iran as a whole and us Iranians since ancient times. They are believed to be the most relevant descendants of ancient Persian culture and most probably the main roots of the modern Iranian culture and language. Kurds are one of the most beloved ethnic groups all around Iran, for their benevolence, sheer bravery, and livelihood. These characteristics is completely reflected in their music and arts. If Iran was a crown, there would have been numerous dazzling and beautiful gemstones shining on this crown, representing many proud ethnic groups: Baluchis, Turks, Iranian Arabs, Mazanis, Lurs, Turkmens, Persians... But the Kurds... They are the crown's very structure; holding all these beautiful and precious gems together.
@Reza Maleki rastak is an Iranian Band and they call themselves IRANIAN! what do you trying to say! They are singing kurdish Turkish Arabic Masani Gilaki Lori and to many different languages the people from IRAN!
Great choice Mace. And yes they do appear to be ahead of time as they're all socially distanced; but only 50% ahead of time... non are wearing face masks!
@1 Reza P.P. سّید رزآ خوان پهله وی There is no such a thing as ancient “Kurdistan” we were all one nation at the time. Even Mesopotamia was part of Persia, letting alone Aryans who were ancestors of Kurds.
an explanation to western people. Persians are a one part of Iran and not whole Iran. We are brothers and cousins but yet we have our own languages and cultures. Love all Arians and thanks for your reaction
Actually this group work very hard to write the parole and the music at the same time they go to the village or town of the language of the song and ask the people many questions for the words and the instruments to use.
Thanks for your reaction cos I am from iraqi Kurdistan, of course Kurdish music is a mix between Iran and Cafcasia, so it's always of a speedy beat, if you are interested , there is another song from Azerbaijan by rastak, it's also a flying music the same as this. Rastak group sanin yadigarin
