Hi team, I doubt you'll see this comment but I wanted to leave a note letting you know how grateful I am for the positive content you consistently put out. My brother, Frank, tragically took his own life seven weeks ago; he had introduced me to your channel. He truly lived his life with similar values to you all, and we cremated him in his Seek Discomfort t-shirt that I bought for him last Christmas. You all have a tremendously uplifting impact on me and I know your content inspired him too. Thank you for shedding light on the positivity that exists in the world today and for always being open about mental health. All the love Alec

Fun fact about Svalbard-to study at the University centre, UNIS, you have to do a 1-week safety course which includes learning to use a rifle, which you aren't allowed to leave the township without
I got accepted to a summer school in Svalbard for the last 2 years, but because of COVID and being from a high risk country, I couldn't go either time. Great to see you guys enjoying Svalbard!
@@gabrielam2757 depends on eligibility. My university (university of the highlands and islands) has it as a study abroad option on our undergraduate marine science with Arctic studies degree so lots of my friends go there-I think other universities might also have it as a study abroad option but I'm not sure . I got in to the permafrost summer school, which requires geology/earth science credits (covid meant I couldn't go though)-they also have a physical changes in the high Arctic summer school for undergrads. There are also masters courses/summer schools and PhDs you can do at UNIS. The way that you connect with Yes Fam is honestly so wonderful to see. No wonder y’all have supporters even in the northernmost part of the world! Please keep making this beautiful content. I am super grateful to be part of a community who always shows nothing but love and support and strives to seek discomfort even in the smallest ways! Thank you for giving us a voice. We love you. Love over fear, always. ❤️
How does Yes Theory ALWAYS find strangers who have such good personalities that match with their personalities😂. But Yes Fam is such a good community though!
Even this 69 year old great granny here would get along with them. Granted, physically, I couldn't do what they do,but I could share their enthusiasm. (Also, I haven't drank in 41 years, but I do enjoy a legal toke or two in the evening.)
All this stuff going on in the world currently puts me in a negative mood, but watching Yes Theory cures that. The happiness and respect everyone has for one another is heavenly.

Believe or not the town you went to is only governored by Norway. However it is also the only town in the world where it is illegal to die in. The Black Death almost wiped this place off the map twice.
Totally love this quest -- their whole philosophy -- inspiring as I go into my 7th decade -- playing electric guitar, lifting weights, learning new languages, saying YES more often -- wish I could've joined you on Svalbard.

That QR issue was insane! What the hell kind of world we'r living in? Obviously nobody wanted to put in any effort, it should be such an easy fix. Happy you got it fixed dude
Umm it's a common and easy rule, as there's no network for Norwegian border patrol to verify that covid vaccines are legit unless it's EU verified and this is very clearly stated on immigration and tourism information that you're supposed to check before travelling to a country.
Honestly no, it was their mistake and it's common knowledge that other country's vaccine certificates might not get accepted because they have no way of verifying it - that's why they made the EU certificate in the first place, because otherwise each EU country might've had a different certificate and travel within the EU would've possibly been limited. It is annoying but also, the Americans that I know that live here made sure to get an EU certificate upon arrival - they should've done the same
@@user-es7ui5mc1m no, it’s the most asinine requirement that only European bureaucrats would come up with to generate money for themselves out of nowhere. They could’ve easily passed a rule that other country certificates are acceptable. And the fact that they would go as far as deporting him in 25 minutes rather than giving him opportunity to arrange an alternative in a reasonable amount of time just further proves this point. I’m not an anti-vaxxer, nor do I deny the importance of Covid measures, but this ain’t it - this is just bureaucracy trying to prove they’re still useful.
I love the energy this channel puts out and shares with the world. That being said I find it very sad that the world is still so closed off for so many people

Was lucky enough to meet these fellas on the airport on the way north. Glad to see that it worked out in the end for you Ammar!
I love your hugs, you can feel the love you are spreading
Fun fact about Svalbard-to study at the University centre, UNIS, you have to do a 1-week safety course which includes learning to use a rifle, which you aren't allowed to leave the township without
Crazy!
You're also not allowed to die there

This video was not about Svalbard, but the journey and people along the way, as it should be! Well done guys, amazing content as always!
Not the destination, but the journey, as Thomas said😀

i too seek discomfort.... im later gonna climb a tall ladder and hang Christmas lights on my roof
u had us in the first half ngl.
😂😂😂😂 make sure you record it and upload a video
Hahahahha it is a discomfort
If you have fear of heights
🤣🤣
You wrote Christmas with a capital C, but didn't capitalize the I! What?!
Not sure how I just found this channel but the binge is real. Thx for having such adapt personalities
I got accepted to a summer school in Svalbard for the last 2 years, but because of COVID and being from a high risk country, I couldn't go either time. Great to see you guys enjoying Svalbard!
Damn, that's awesome. Do you know how someone can apply to that?
@@gabrielam2757 depends on eligibility. My university (university of the highlands and islands) has it as a study abroad option on our undergraduate marine science with Arctic studies degree so lots of my friends go there-I think other universities might also have it as a study abroad option but I'm not sure . I got in to the permafrost summer school, which requires geology/earth science credits (covid meant I couldn't go though)-they also have a physical changes in the high Arctic summer school for undergrads. There are also masters courses/summer schools and PhDs you can do at UNIS. Most people who go are in marine science, earth science, climate science or biology degrees-they also have some decent robotics up there. Don't think there are social science courses but you could check. They are free to apply to through the Norwegian University portal if you do want to go.
@@sharks2571 Thank you very much!
what did you apply for? i mean which course
@@arhamshah8473 the permafrost summer school. The website is annoying so it might be hard to find, but it is there. It doesn't run every year, but applications are due in February and the course is ~1 month, usually beginning in July
As someone who lives in the Arctic circle, it’s so beautiful. Winter surrounding has this beauty to it that is so powerful, it’s hard to explain. Snowy mountains, bright skies, things formed out of ice, and silence is truly beautiful.
am recent member of the fam. Man I love where you guys stand for and your enthousiasm about seeking lessons outside boundaries of comfort, to question everything and always seek to grow as humans. You are enriching my life with your content - so happy to be here!
Being a person who has never gone to a foreign land before, Amar is seriously giving me some major travel anxiety ಥ‿ಥ
would you like to live in a cold climate like svalbard
@@hrssson5243 hell yeah 😎
i live in nordic country
I agree, makes it to where I don't ever wanna travel to Norway.
depends on your passport
You guys are my favorite UA-camrs for this very exact reason. You value connection and friendships over anything which is what I believe makes you stronger. I am always amazed by all the things you do and all the places you’ve been. You guys give hope, inspiration, happiness, and honestly just all kinds of feelings (the good kind lol).
(Also, I haven't drank in 41 years, but I do enjoy a legal toke or two in the evening.)
when they aren't in serious situations, this channel is just pure vibes
All this stuff going on in the world currently puts me in a negative mood, but watching Yes Theory cures that. The happiness and respect everyone has for one another is heavenly.
This amount of kindness that you're giving us throught your videos, gives me hope fore humanity.
It's really insane what they do, congratz to all Yes Theory!
Amar, you are the example for everyone out there that traveling can go wrong, but a positive attitude is what its all about! You are strong enough to handle it which is why its your role.
TOMMY IS HILARIOUS, it's so good to see him open up and be more comfortable ❤️❤️❤️
As someone who adores the cold, this would've been epic. So glad Ammar managed to get through.
As someone who despises the cold, this would've been painful 🥶
@@10sansari 😂 same here. I want to invent a giant heat bulb like reptiles use and place it in my room during the winter. A nice 27°C is minimum temperature for me.

You guys should’ve met up with Cecilia Blomdahl! She’s a UA-camr too whose lived in Longyearbyen for years, I’m sure she’d be a great guide around the town
I love her videos.
Yes! She is an incredible videographer and photographer.
I was just watching a video of hers. I’ve seen a few, one of which I’m sure said something about polar bears and a law about taking a gun with you outside of the town 😨. Not sure if a local would be walking into a cave.
Hi i'm from Bosnia and Herzegovina and i have been watching your videos 3 full years now and all i want to say that im happy for u all and in these last 3 videos u made me cry and fele happy im so grateful for your videos hope u guys stay like this forever
You know you have to go to Saint Kitts sometime soon right? You gotta show us what this island nation that gave you this freedom looks like! Also, it will be a lot less scary if you're ever threatened with deportation again.
Nice friendly people. Not a lot of excitement there. We circled both islands and took a ferry to Nevis and back all during a cruise ship stop.
was lucky enough to spend a week there. awesome beautiful island
You guys need to check out Cecilia Blomdahl, she’s lives in Svalbard and makes the most interesting content!!
I was thinking the same thing!
That was my first thought. I love watching her content.
Was thinking to write just this.
Nah.
She’s great!
Being "carbon positive" means that CO2 is emitted. Being "carbon negative" means that you have negative emissions, which is good for the environment! Love the content as always! :D
Great video from you guys
This video literally showcased so many things that is about the “YES Family”.... This is really an amazing video. kudos
Showcased how dumb they are, didn't check about the vaccine proof thing
What a world we live in today. Having a passport from a country you've never been to and avoiding deportation by scanning a picture on your cellphone 🤣
I remember watching this play out live on instagram. There was nothing I could do, but i kept refreshing instagram to see if there were updates on the story and I sent so many positive vibes to Ammar. I cheered when we got the update he got help with seconds to spare!
How can dramatic representation bring tears to eyes! So happy that Ammar could finally make it to the destination.
This Video is everything that Yes theory represents. The discomfort and the community that you guys have created giving back to you. Couldn't be more happier👏
Continue with spreading the Happiness 🇰🇪
I am so glad that Anurag helped save Ammar to go on this adventure!
I highly respect Anurag a really cool stranger featured on Yes Theory, I also can't wait to see more videos with Ammar!

High five to people who care to help. Beautiful soul.
The fact that we get free travel videos on UA-cam by Yes Theory is truly a gift 👍
i want this guy to be in all yes theory vids he seems like a cool person.
It has been great watching you all go through life. I have been feeling really great because of your videos. You put a smile in my face amidst the challenges.
Just bought the 'Do It Scared' hoodie! Can't wait for it to arrive!
Oh amazing! Can’t wait for you to get it and see you rep it 🙏🙏🙏
Believe or not the town you went to is only governored by Norway.

Europeans am I right
That QR issue was insane! What the hell kind of world we'r living in? Obviously nobody wanted to put in any effort, it should be such an easy fix. Happy you got it fixed dude
That made me so infuriated! can't believe we've all let this happen!
@@TheWefikus Completely agree. We've gone too far. It's become more than about public health now.

Pretty sure I wish I had your guys' job more than any other job on earth. I feel very limited in what I'm able to do in life but I live vicariously through your adventures. I don't remember the last time i commented on a UA-cam video but what you guys did for Omar and your whole team and the vision is absolutely beautiful.
This is by far one of the best forms of entertainment and inspiration on UA-cam.
That was absolutely amazing, you took a advid watcher and took him on a once in a lifetime adventure with once in a lifetime people. Truly amazing content.
This is why all youtubers should keep some type of open connection with their fan base. Never know how helpful 1 of them can be.

This brought tears to my eyes. What an amazing outcome. I am so happy this Man was able to help him. What an amazing video!
I had a similar airport experience when I was traveling to the US from Sweden middle landing in Switzerland and I was only a kid and they wanted to turn me around alone and send me back to Sweden because I only had my Swedish passport but I'm born in the USA.
my dad thankfully stayed calm and managed to convince them that they can't send an 11 year old kid back alone when they're going on a family vacation and they finally listened to him letting us trough.
Airports just suck to deal with
These vaccine passports are becoming absurd. It's pure political bureaucracy. Just as most people feared. It's not saving anyone from anything.
Damn man, Ammar doesn't only Seek Discomfort, he always finds it too!! I hope life becomes better and better for you!!
I'm so happy for Ammar!!! Thank God you got through and the yes fam came through that was awesome!!💚

As a country which never gets much recognition, at least not in terms of traditions or places, I really appreciated how you took time to actually pronounce the names of our cities! Great video, as always.
