It is always a pleasure to listen to Boris Becker talk about tennis. He is so well spoken. He speaks english better than most Americans in the U.S.! He ennunciates words better than a lot of people whose first language is english! And he is obviously a very thoughtful, astute and intelligent man.
Oh Boris I will never forget the tennis super star you were but even more how handsome you were! No freaky tattoos, no bandanas, no hairdo..just a super alpha male.
It is so painful to hear that Becker can't and doesnt even want to try anymore to play and show to the world his wonderful serve and all his wonderful shots. I watch on You Tube many videos of his great matches in this Corona Virus period at home and for me Becker is still young and plays the best tennis of all times, with Mc Enroe. Greetings from Rome Italy
Becker was never like many other players who did and said bad things to and about anyone. He only ever hurt himself. Becker just is a really nice guy. Unlike mcenroe.
His era was much (much!!) stronger than today´s one dimensional baseline bashing. Djokovic can call himself lucky to have Becker as trainer rather than opponent.
fundhund62 ... are you ignorant? The players of that time would be nowhere near the pace, accuracy or tactics of today's players. Federer already crushed that generation. Just listen to Sampras, Agassi etc. speak about Federer.
Precisely. 50/50 chance he had against Edberg maybe. Then came Sampras who owned him on grass and beyond, and remember he is just 3 years younger. Federer crushed the generation of Sampras, and today Djokovic pretty much owns Federer. So it's more like 1/99 chance that Becker would have against Novak, even on the faster grass. It's the normal evolution of the game.
SSJ5VegetaV4 How did Federer "crush that generation"? He never played Sampras in his prime, and even if he did, he never faced players as accomplished at the net as Edberg, Becker or McEnroe. In fact, he has been the one-eyed man in the land of the blind for most of his career, and therefore it is completely misleading to talk about him. Yes, Federer has variety in his game .. but Federer is not "this generation". Todays players in general are nowhere near the level of the great players of the 80s or 90s, let alone before.

Gotta love Boris! Great sense of humor.

Boris was so talented in his prime....his game would translate to any era in my opinion
wow , good to see boris after so long
Becker is such a cool guy. He (and Steffi) are the reasons I got interested in watching tennis.
Boris coming onstage with a suit and wearing Puma tennis shoes like a boss!
👊

The Man, the Myth and the Legend!!!
peeforapie
Freak? That may very well be your definition of the man but, is it everyone else´s?
Great interview and what a great guy Boris is. Ed Kayne used to say he's got the greatest serve ever!
Boris is very wise, probably part of what makes him such a good coach.
Boris is great player,
Still youngest wimbledon champion , as
17 year old ,
Love from India
The Gentleman of Tennis!
I agree 100% with Boris about poker. Real players won't wear hoodies and dark glasses.

He fails to credit Guenther Bosch

I love how Boris tries to come across as an intellectual when he's clearly not. He ended up broke and in jail.
Boris turn into Robert de Niro so gradually that I didn't even notice it 🤔🎾
But you're not , man , keep calm !!
Leisure Suit Larry/Boris.
boris looks battered.
He has a good day here.
Was the host nervous or what? His English is kinda strange.
Angel Tong his mother tongue isnt english how about that he is Norwegian
Charasmatic.
What nonsense is this that he should have married a German?!!!
Lol, Boris Becker would not stand a chance on grass.
He might on Grass and indoor carpet.
