Assassin's Creed Valhalla - How to kill Zealot without Weapons - Improved Version!

- I have received some comments on my previous video on how to kill zealot without weapons.
Some said the drowning method fails to work for them as the zealot seems to be swimming to the shores.
Well, I decided to test the drowning method again.
This time I found Zealot Cola. Well, actually, this guy seems to be an Olympic swimmer. Lots of attempt to drown it using my previous method fails as this guy is a damn good swimmer irregardless whether you are in deepest part of the river.
Finally, I found a new way to drown this expert swimmer. Watch on to find out on the 2nd and 3rd part of the video.
First part is to recap the old method to drown, which did not work consistently as I hope for. Sometimes it works, sometimes it fails. The imrpoved version of drowning the zealot has much higher success rate.

I was having hard time killing most zealot too ^^
I prefer long range attack
But arrows dont harm zealot that easy anymore.
They just keep dodging whenever u lock on them

@@haliloogaming1647 idk I somehow lured him into the water started hitting him and he drowned I used the upgraded blacksmiths hammer and the spartin shield to defeat the other two

Now i am on the quest to burn the Hunt Eivor note. (but i think i will not burn the note ^^)
As i travel back to Venonis, Redwalda was there.
As he sees me, the Alert Icon appears!
YES! He is chasing me on horse.
But something weird happen...when i reach the river, swimming with my mount. As soon as Redwalda horse hit the water, he just jump off :(
Maybe it is patched?
I am not sure, i need to run more test on other zealots. Will update you guys soon.

Thank you so much when trying to get Excalibur I had much trouble, with heike and I only need 1 more tablet which is on the last zealot, and I will 100% be using this strat on them keep up there great work (I’m only like level 85 lol)
I was below level 100 when i use these.
But some comment i received they said the zealot does not reach to you when you passed by nowadays?
Does your zealot reacts to you i.e Alert icon appear and they chase you when sees you?

@@haliloogaming1647 yeah none of them reacted to me on sight it took me a while to get them mad and follow me while they were still on their horse
@@cherylthorpe1769 for the really big guy I think is who you’re talking about along the river there is a spot u can raid and I made him follow me there and then I let my crew take him out

Usually i am unable to lure them if they dont react to me. I could stand in front of them and they just look at me blankly ^^

If you have, all zealots will be alerted once they see you and will chase you.
If you are far enough when they saw you, they will chase you and not get off horse.

Have you reach quest where you need to kill/spare Leofrith?
Apparently you need to reach this quest before the Zealot will auto hunt you if they notice you.
My new save game, I have built Hytham's hut in England, but the zealot are still harmless. They just stood and look at me without doing anything when I am in front of them. ^^
Once you have reach this quest, zealot will hunt you.
Therefore, when they saw you while on horse, they will chase you.
That's when we try lure him to the river.
*A few zealot is on ground, no horse. These you got to beat them without the river :(
Why is it that everytime I try he just completely gets off his horse

Hello friend. If he gets off his horse, it means u too close to him.
Try to ready to sprint your mount the opposite direction the moment u see zealot's alert icon turns yellow.
Once it turns red and u too close to zealot, they will jump off horse to do melee combat with you.
I tried this with hyrothgar the strongest out of the 3 to get the tablets and I lured him to sea but he just stands and shoots his spear and is hard to lure him since hes not on a horse pls help.
Was Hrothgar on foot or on horse when you saw him from distance?
If Hrothgar is on foot, then unlikely he will go down to the river.
If Hrothgar is on horse, then you can use this drowning strategy.
If you facing difficulty, try lure him to your crew near river. Your crew will auto fire arrows.
Once Hrothgar loses sight on you and focus his attack on your crew, then you can sneak attack a few arrows on him.
Equip Charged Shot (wolf tree skill) to maximise damage.

Ah my friend...u need to upgrade your horse.
Minimum one level of swimming. It will stay afloat on water.
If u got the money, go for two level of swimming.
They always get off their horse instead of following me
They get off horse when they are too close to you.
You need to maintain a distance in order to lure them to follow you on their horse.
Try to run away as soon as u notice their Yellow alert icon appears.
If it turns red, and you are too close, they will get off horse to attack you.

Did it work on Hrothgar?
It should work on zealots on horse.
If zealot is on foot, there will not drown as the drowning action happens the moment the zealot on horse hit the water (deep part of river)
How I make it cause cuz hike keep leaving his horse
Hello my friend. When zealot get off their horse means u are too close to them. Try maintain a distance between your horse and them, then lure them to the water/river. But do not get too far away until he lost interest/track of u, where the zealot will no longer chase u anymore.
I lured them on top of houses that are made of straw and ignited the roof, zealot burns down, easy win.

Is Heike on horse when he chases u to the water?
If that particular river does not drown him, try lure him to other river.
Is this been patched now? He seems to always get out off his horse before he follows me in the river
Do not get to close to him coz he will sure get off horse (he is programmed that way ^^)
Did he has the 'alert' icon thingy when he saw u, turning yellow to red?
I usually ride my mount and cross in front of him to make him notice, when the alert icon appear and yellow in colour, get ready to ride the other way, and when turn red, you make sure have some distance, else he will just get off horse.
*Which zealot u facing btw?
@@haliloogaming1647 I’m trying to do this method with Heike but he just keeps getting off his horse and doesn’t even notice me when I pass in front of him I need to hit him for it to engage the fight
I believe it’s patched but all I did to kill him was call my long boat in, hop in and take control of the boat and fire at him you get unlimited arrows and it deals a sh*t ton of damage
@@jacobmueller2351 Excellent. Another way is to call for raid, if you happen to meet zealot at a raidable location. Your crews can hit him hard and even knock the zealot to the ground.

Coz i remember all my zealot will chase me if they saw me.
When i restart new game, first arrive England. went and saw Redwalda, she just ignore me even if i passes her or whistle at her. So i believe Hytham's hut will trigger zealot to hunt for you.
(There was a quest you actually need to recover a note at some ruins that gave instruction to zealot to hunt you)
If they don’t have a horse what I would do is use the bash move/tackle into a river or go in a skinny river and use the harpoon move
Excellent tips my friend. Actually, until today I still dont know how to use the harpoon to 'move' the enemy to where I like 😅
I guess your strategy can make those zealot on foot drown in river?

@@LEBONBON4Lyfe Ah ok....coz my usual method on horse no longer works on shallow water...as the zealot can swim like a pro back to the shores.
It didn’t work for me with Woden cuz he only just threw spears at me
Some zealots are trickier to lure them to the water.

It was tricky to drown him too. Some part of river i was not able to drown him. He will swim to shore. Maybe you can try on Heike, on same spot i dron him. 👍
I drowned him too without knowing you can do that what a luck

Got a easier way. You need the perk Missle Reversal and then lead the zealot to the river or seas and call for your boat. Get on the boat and stand in the center. Make sure you are not on the ledge or the mass or you wont be able to throw back spears and other throwables.

So with missile reversal u can catch all of the zealot range attack?
@@haliloogaming1647 as long as the zealot doesn't have healing potions then this trick works. I killed a zealot last night doing this. Tried it on another one after but didn't work because it had healing potions and kept healing more then I could do damage.

I play a new game from start, arrived England, saw Redwalda...he/she just stood there on horse while i was beside it ^^
I think possible its due to that Hytham's hut (Basim's student) have not been built?
Coz, once u built it = u r hunting down order of ancients ie zealot include and i remember there was a part where i obtained a clue in Venonis or somewhere a note saying the zealot will hunt me (though i play that story part way later, and i trigger zealot chase much earlier...so no need to do things in sequence perhaps)

@@The_matrix_ I am only level 95 power I justt got him near that big tree his bombs kept hitting the tree and when he attacked ide dodge round the tree and counter worked really well for me

Is Hrothgar the zealot on foot or on horse?
If he is those zealot that walk around on foot, then u will not be able to drown him as u need to lure the zealot to the river while they are still on horse.

I’m so close to getting Excalibur
I got mine excalibur. Drowned the 3 key zealots that has the tablet.

Lame that they don't drop gear like they did in Origins.
Oh...i didnt know that coz I never played any AC prior to Valhalla.
But in AC Odyssey, the mercenaries I killed also drop random gears...which i admit is pretty cool and more ability to customize character.
In Valhalla, the number of weapons is just limited. 😔

Ah my friend. You need to upgrade your horse swim training to at least level 1.

If he gets off horse to chase you means you are pretty close to him already.
Usually when the yellow alert icon appears (time slows down), i will get ready my horse to run the other way...once it turns red, i will be running away already.

In Odyssey they atleast made the elite warriors and most mercenaries immune to the spartan kick and fall from ledges part 😂😂😂...

Actually in AC Valhalla, used to be very easy to drown the zealots. I think they tweaked the AI abit, most of the zealots are very good swimmer. They only drown at certain part of the river.
They all just get off their horses.
Its tricky to get them to drown. They do not drown at every part of the river. Some river are shallow, it wont work.

You have to find the right spot in the river to drown the zealots.
Some part of river where the river too shallow will not drown them.

You should be able to lure the zealots to the river.
As long as they are still on horse, this drowning method will work perfectly.

U have to try lure him to deepest part of the river/sea.
Jump off your horse and dive down to bottom of river/sea.
Wait there a little.
As zealot gets to your last know position, he will exit his horse.
There is likelihood the "alert" icon will appears as he re-spotted you.
By now he will enter drowning animation.

I have betterway, first youbring the zealot to the shore as close as possible ,then you summon longship ,then you take command and use your bow (it will give unlimited arrow but you still need 1 arrow to work) ,then you and your team just need to spam till the zealot dead
Edit:you have to swim at the back of the boat to make the zealot to target your teammate

Yep...that was my initial strategy using ship crew 😁
There is also another way, lure zealot to raiding location. Call for a raid, and watch your team bully the zealot 😁👍

As soon as u see his Alert Icon turn yellow, be prepare to ride your house away.
If u too close to him, he will get off his horse.
