Dad here. It was a brilliant week, the trip of a lifetime for me and great to spend it with Laurence. So glad we decided to have a fifth child! Absolutely no regrets.

Having been in the hotel industry for over 30 years, my suggestion would be to use Expedia to research and then book directly with a hotel and airline. It will always then be easier to make adjustments directly with a hotel or airline.

Many years back my dad and I went on a 2500 miles trip in 7 days to visit family and friends.
I still think of it often as Dad has been gone 9 years but not forgotten.

I should have mentioned this before but in San Francisco I used to live there a long time ago there’s wax museums there I think I they are still there. Not sure. And the crooked road too! Out here there’s the mob museum. There’s more but I can’t remember right now. But when I do I’ll let you know. When I lived in
Frisco I did see homeless people. They were everywhere on corners mostly. Can’t wait to see next video. I love the story how your dad met your mom. It’s romantic. Love you both and have a great week see you soon!

Hi Laurance and Actual Natalie. What a fantastic trip with your Dad, so glad you got to spend an entire week or so just you and John. FYI just spent the weekend in Seligman and did the Grand Canyon. Best weekend of the trip so far.

When you do come out to the west coast again visit San Diego. You'll find it's so much more friendly and laid back than Los Angeles and San Fransisco. There's tons to do there and the food and beer is AMAZING!
Oh for sure! We have heard amazing things about San Diego and we actually know a few people who live there, so it’s definitely on our list!

Looked like an awesome trip! Didn’t know that the Grand Canyon overlook was so expensive. We won’t be doing that either
It was on that side. But the other side when we did Route 66 was only like $20

Yeah we went to the wrong side which was very expensive. We have been before on Route 66. Stunning scenery
