Charlotte said what in my opinion the most iconic line of the series, “Maybe we could be each other's soul mates. And then we could let men be just these great nice guys to have fun with.”
I love when She brings flowers to Miranda when she thinks she has the abortion and when Miranda tells her she didn’t do it Charlotte tearily says “we’re having a baby?!” So beautiful.
Charlotte leaving her apartment with her hair done and wearing the pink dress going to Brady’s party after watching the Liz Taylor documentary. Priceless moment
Thank you for finally acknowledging the awesomeness of Charlotte! She unlearned so many unhealthy mindsets and grew so much over the series and I love her and identify with her so much
when she yells "NO" to big when he calls off wedding just after Carrie beats him with flowers..holy heck she was so incredible..and the little way she walked in her dress to get in the car..went from dead serious to making me giggle
She had the best character growth in show... Went from hopeless romantic, got married to rich man who has not great mother, quit her job, dealt with awful marriage and fertility issues, got divorced and proved women can get nice apparrment, met a guy, who might not be Disney prince but heck had a good heart and loved her for her, converted to Judaism, got married in beautiful wedding , had a baby and suffered a misscarage, was open to adopt a baby, which she did and took in a doggo, who helped her heal... When someone asks why she is my fave-- this is why...she proves you can come out as complete different person and not drop your crown
1. How was she a hopeless romantic when a) she spread as whimsically as the others, b) she only started out caring about looks, manners, and money, and c) she advocated playing by The Rules, which is as unromantic as you can get? 2. THANK YOU! 👏🏻 👏🏻 👏🏻 I am SO sick of Charlotte getting shit on for so many years now. I’ve always identified with her (and weirdly, Samantha). Her loyalty to her friends, her commitment to her values, her beliefs that real love is possible and the refusal to be cynical, are all amazing qualities. She could be uptight but she was always a friend who you could count on to be generous and compassionate. She also had a lot of strength in tough times, like her crumbling marriage to Trey, blowing things up with Harry and almost losing him, her miscarriage, and infertility issues. She never felt sorry for herself, she always found a way through the problems eventually. If you have a person like that in your life, you’re lucky!
She was personally my favourite out of the 4 women. She was smart, driven, optimistic, kind & honest. Was she flawed yes (who isn't). I liked how honest she was with Carrie & wasn't afraid to tell her the raw truth about the big affair. I also liked how She knew what she wanted & even though it wasn't the modern feminist ideal like Miranda has, she stood up for what she wanted! She emphasized that feminism is about choice & if your choice is more traditional that doesn't make you any less.
Out of all the girls who grew the most I always say it was Charlotte. She stuck to her dreams and her morals but managed to open up and become more free and to grow as a person. She never EVER SETTLED! She managed to be optimistic even in the worst times and stuck by her friends side. She was a genuinely good person. Lastly, i love the end of the series we see her get her happy ending even if it was different than what she (or we) thought it would be.
I liked her drag photoshoot and couldn't believe Trey expected her to be happy with a sexless marriage. She and Harry were so great together. My favorite Charlotte/Harry scene is when they make up and he proposes to her.
I saw that as two friends helping each other becauss in that same episode she realized that by holding onto that ring she was holding onto things that were no longer and it wasnt good for her to keep it its one of my favorite charlotte moments but yea I def hate carrie and the way she treats the ppl in her life

Charlotte telling Harry she doesn’t care if he ever marries her because she’d be lucky to be with him is one of my favourite moments of all time in that show.

See from what I know of the show, Charlotte was often the subject of mockery and teasing. But I've never really laughed at her...I always loved how true she is to herself. And of the four, she's the only one in a genuinely happy, loving and lasting marriage 😂
Charlotte's best character moment was telling Carrie that she's being selfish in her relationship with Big and stands up for Natasha, no one else had the balls to stand up to Carrie then and Charlotte was so true to her beliefs in that moment. She slays
I relate the absolute most to Charlotte. Also love how she stayed true to herself and her dreams even though she'd occasionally get teased for being naive. In the end she did get her fairytale just not exactly as she had imagined it.
When I first started watching SATC I thought I was more like Carrie.... but rewatching it all again... I definitely relate more to Charlotte and she has more of my respect for her friendships and loves.
That amazing look that Kristin gave when saying "This is me. And I'm sexual. And I love you" is actually one of the most memorable acting bits in the show. Across the board. Ever.
I loved seeing Charlotte and Mirada’s friendship blossom through her pregnancy, one of my favorite seasons! When I found out my ex got married shortly after we broke up, I broke down and spiraled for a moment, I wish I had a friend like Charlotte that day ❤
Only mentioning Brandy's first birthday?!?! The tears, the loss, the dress, the glasses. Such a tearing and powerful moment at the same time. And the music 🎶 best of Charlotte
Charlotte gets a lot of hate for being “traditional” or “unrealistic” but she just outwardly expresses what a lot of people have, the desire to get married. She is sometimes judge mental but her and Miranda have the most growth and character development in series. She’s a great friend by the end of the series and a great wife. I see myself the most in charlotte haha.
I love Charlotte. I resonate with her so much. I love that she can be modest when she wants, sexy when she wants, private when she wants, open when she wants. She’s very in control of her emotions and knows herself so well.
I loved this! To this day my besties still tell me I'm Charlotte. We used to get together Sunday nights and watch this show when we were all first getting to know one another. Little did we know our friendships and romances would so mirror the show.
Cause carrie had amazing friends. But she wasn't amazing to them..she took more than she gave and always made everything about her even in their biggest moments
I liked when she gave Carrie her engagement ring. She did have to tell her about herself first cause Carrie was financially irresponsible. And it helped her move on from being Mrs. McDougal.
That was a no for me, Carrie was selfish, and crossed boundaries. That’s emotional blackmail to ask your friend to finance your life style with a wedding ring. So ratchet 🙄
The number one top pic is GOLD.. probably one of my favorite moments in the whole series. "Maybe we could be each other's soulmates. And then let men be just these great nice guys to have fun with."
One of my favorite Charlotte moments was in the last episode where Harry gets frustrated with the adoption process and he goes God forgot our address and she says come on, we are Jews! We have gone through worse. At the beginning of the series it would have been Charlotte who was frustrated, instead of the person that rallies on. She truly grew through the series. My fave character!
She was so strong, held back tears, and clung onto hope after every setback until she got her baby and finally let those happy tears loose! Ugh I love that scene!
Actually, all of the characters were at some point or another, The Best Character on SATC, except Carrie. They all had their flaws, but the three women had redeeming qualities which made them great friends. Carrie was the weakest link. Also, there's a misconception that Charlotte was conservative. She's not. Sure, she's the only one that dated to get married, but she's not conservative at all. In fact, I would say the most prudish out of the four women is Carrie. She often seemed downright shocked at the sexual antics of others.
My favorite moment is when Charlotte goes off on Carrie after she finds out she's cheating on her boyfriend with Big (married ex) and Charlotte's points and feelings are valid. She was about to get married, too. And sees marriage as something to be respected.
I love how she stood for what she believes in no matter what or who, but at the same time is still there for support .even if she disagreed Example telling Carrie she's the " other woman" and sticks to it but is there to support her in the end.
Watching this makes me realise two things: what great actresses they all are and how deeper and more realistic the scripts used to be. These same actresses deserve so much more than the scripts off Just Like That which does a deservice to those characters and the real lives of women in their fifties and sixties. I still watch it but l keep hoping for more from it.
I do the same thing! I can’t tell if they’ve lost their spark for acting or if the script is just that dry. :/ it’s hard to believe the same person wrote both shows.
This video is so long overdue. Characters like Charlotte are often overshadowed or severely misunderstood. In my opinion Charlotte was so necessary to the show because she is an genuine optimist that consistently sticks to her values. That’s why she gets the ending she deserves because she never settled or lowered her standards even when things didn’t look bright. As a friend she supported each of the girls consistently. You can count on her for encouragement, a baby sitter, baked goods, planning an event, a apology when she is wrong, and/or sometimes financial assistance too. I’ll always love Charlotte.
My favorite Charlotte / Samantha Moment.. Samantha - I'm dating a guy with the funkiest tasting spunk. Charlotte - "Turns to Samantha. Gets up and leaves with out saying a word."
While I thought Charlotte and Samantha had some of the funniest and best scenes in SATC , I had the feeling in AJLT that the writers tried to low key humiliate Kristen’s character. I would not be surprised if season two of AJLT would be mostly about Miranda and Carrie because of the actresses egos and influence on the plot. - most of what happened in AJLT was a mirror of what happened in real life on set.
My favorite moment from the ENTIRE FRANCHISE was when Samantha suddenly and matter-of-factly announced the foul taste of her lover's sexual fluid (must keep my words PG so I don't get flagged), and Charlotte immediately got up from the table and exited the restaurant without speaking a word. Charlotte had zero interest in that conversation at all. She couldn't go for that. No. No. No could do. 💦🤮🙅♀🚶♀
When Big is trying to call to get ahold of Carrie after she goes to Paris and Charlotte hears the answering machine, she has to make that split second choice to answer it or let it go. She knows all the trouble Big has caused, but she can't help feeling that her friend isn't happy in Paris and she reaches over and grabs the phone and goes "Hey, it's Charlotte"...and when Big is meeting with the girls in the diner, she is openly emotional listening to him talk. It's good stuff.
I love when shes out wedding gift shopping for miranda with carrie and samantha and theyre not taking it seriously so shes like ok how about we get her a stapler and wrap it in poop
*they left it out, but when Charlotte's brother Wesley got some TLC from Sam (after a years-long strike from his wife, Leslie)...i loved how Charlotte looked at Sam in a more appreciative light after he said: "That Samantha, you've got a great friend in HER". Lol.* #lovesit #SATC #protectMsMojo ❤🩹🗽👩🏻🧁🧺📺👠😍
My favourite Charlotte moment is when she humanises Natasha to Carrie. Carrie acts like her affair with Big is completely justified due to Natasha being boring and simple. Carrie stalks her, is really horrible about her behind her back. So when Charlotte calls Carrie out for being “the other woman” and that “she should feel bad” she shows the extent of her morals by going against her friend.
I loved that she began to recognize her worth after her and trey separated. She found love in Harry and he added to her worth Harry didn’t want her to change for him he took her as she was. She did all that changing for Trey to treat her right and with Harry she only had to be herself
I always loved Charlotte. She's the complete opposite of me as a person but I am surprised that a lot of people find her character annoying because I felt she was really believable
I loved every character except Carrie (and Big). but in terms of casting, _everybody_ encapsulated their roles perfectly. Sarah Jessica Parker _IS_ Carrie - whether you dislike her character or not, but that's mainly on the writers giving her a sh*tty storyline later on
Gotta love all the "Carrie haters" in the comments. Darren Star should be proud. That was his intent on her character. To have the main character imperfect. And a bit of the villain. She was the most realistic. Gotta love all the perfect ppl in the comments that have never made a mistake
I just rewatched the series on Netflix and my biggest regret of the season is that Miranda didn’t ask her to be Brady’s godmother over Carrie. She would have been so excited and the best godmom 🥰
I loved this video! Actually, I had never originally watched the show, when it first came out. I wasnt "into" tv for a long time, and I was about 20 years older than they were portraying, so I thought there could be nothing for me to relate to...I was very wrong! I thought it was just about men and clothes, but that was window dressing..it was different, funny and groundbreaking. The first show on tv that concentrated on relationships between women. In the early 90s I had worked on a tv show for a couple of seasons in Los Angeles that had Sarah Jessica parker as one of the leads. She was not particularly noticeable at first to me, but sharp as a tack, and incredibly kind and sweet. At the time, she was dating Robert Downey jr. during his fight with addiction, and was completely focused on helping him, but still always made time to talk to everyone. When I finally watched her hit show out of curiosity, I thought she was stunning. Her clothes, makeup and hair had been transformed and she was just beautiful. That really caught me, because I saw how the right looks could transform a regular good looking person into a model of beauty. At that time, she was practically ignored because Deborah Farentino was considered to be the star. Deborah got the "good" clothes, best makeup artist, etc., and everyone else was on their own. A great example of how the movie industry works! The "stars" were pampered, listened to and coddled with the best, everyone else was considered not good or important enough to get a simple, "hello", unless the director felt like elevating some poor rube temporarily. When I was asked to do stand in for Farentino, tons of people who had walked by me without acknowledging me, ever, for a year, suddenly invited me to get together. Another good lesson! Sarah had been on stage in New York and knew how everything on stage and film worked, so she could ignore all the slights and concentrate on her work. She didn't waste time with rudeness or one up manship, which was a fantastic lesson for me as well. People were kind of dismissive of her because she was dating a "washed up actor" with a drug problem, and people were so rude about it, gossiping that she was probably doing drugs too, making a big mistake to be with him, etc., etc. (I wonder what they all think now!). She was probably the nicest person I met during those years...(finally seeing Sex in the City also inspired me to try and completely revamp my own look, since I had no look!), although the show I worked on was a total flop (cancelled after 2 seasons, should have been put out of its misery after one episode) I got more out of it than any other job I ever had, and I did tons of ridiculous junk. I have always been so happy she became the star of a big hit, she completely deserved her stardom, she really worked hard, was a great person and more talented than practically anyone else I met then. I hope she is happy and I wish I could thank her for all her many kindnesses, she was pure gold.
Charlotte was the only female character on that show that came close to having something even close to a moral compass as well as anything close to kindness at all.

Cause carrie had amazing friends. But she wasn't amazing to them..she took more than she gave and always made everything about her even in their biggest moments
I wonder did Carrie ever pay Charlotte back
@@katiepop3442yes she did. They mentioned it in season 5 after she got her book deal. It was a mere mention in the middle of a scene
I liked when she gave Carrie her engagement ring. She did have to tell her about herself first cause Carrie was financially irresponsible. And it helped her move on from being Mrs. McDougal.
I think Carrie and Charlotte looked the most beautiful in that scene. Stunning.
That was a no for me, Carrie was selfish, and crossed boundaries. That’s emotional blackmail to ask your friend to finance your life style with a wedding ring. So ratchet 🙄
I would have had to end my friendship with her or create some distance at that point.
😂
10:33 My favourite line from Charlotte. Carrie is a grown woman who needs to take responsibility for her lifestyle.
Kristin Davis is the cutest thing in the whole Sex and the city franchise. What an adorable woman.
I agree! And I can't stop looking at her, she's absolutely stunning! Gorgeous woman 😍
Same, her mannerisms are just so cute in general
Yes. It's a shame she ruined her face with all the plastic surgery. Have you seen her recently?
@@ashleys4652 Not really.
That's so true!
LOL except Carrie. Yep she was the worst.
Can't agree more
Charlotte was my favourite s&tc character. I can relate to her so well.
My favorite moment is when Charlotte goes off on Carrie after she finds out she's cheating on her boyfriend with Big (married ex) and Charlotte's points and feelings are valid. She was about to get married, too. And sees marriage as something to be respected.
Team Charlotte
Charlotte didn’t get enough credit as a character. She had some of the best character growth and didn’t Carrie dedicate one of her books to Charlotte?
I love how she stood for what she believes in no matter what or who, but at the same time is still there for support .even if she disagreed Example telling Carrie she's the " other woman" and sticks to it but is there to support her in the end.
Samantha's and Charlotte's adorable sistership. ♥️
I was waiting for this one!!!! THANK YOU!!!
So great to see another Sex And The City video posted, Msmojo. I love Charlotte❤️
It wasn’t her job to fix carries finances
Charlotte is my favorite character. I loved her fashion style and her positivity about love.
Charlotte's organized approach to her life is admirable.
The dress she wore to Brady's bday was amazing...
My favorite Charlotte / Samantha Moment..
Samantha - I'm dating a guy with the funkiest tasting spunk.
Charlotte - "Turns to Samantha. Gets up and leaves with out saying a word."
Charlotte is my fave. Thanks for calling attention to her.
Charlotte is my favorite character - always has been. I love Miranda too ❤❤❤❤
I like Charlotte, because she is beautiful, elegant, nice, polite and a real friend! I like her because she is funny too!😍💛
Love Charlotte she's definitely my favorite of the four 💝
My favorite moment from the ENTIRE FRANCHISE was when Samantha suddenly and matter-of-factly announced the foul taste of her lover's sexual fluid (must keep my words PG so I don't get flagged), and Charlotte immediately got up from the table and exited the restaurant without speaking a word. Charlotte had zero interest in that conversation at all.
She couldn't go for that. No. No. No could do. 💦🤮🙅♀🚶♀
Charlotte’s idea of love changed when she gave up looking for Prince Charming and got her happy ending.
BUT, to me, she DID get her Prince Charming - Trey. - it just didn't work out.
Charlotte with all her changes and growth remained kind and loyal.
I’m rewatching the show and loving her character
I personally love Charlotte ❤️❤️😍. Every Sex and the City's Character is awesome, but she's simply adorable and fantastic 😍❤️
strange thing is...I loved all 4 of them. each in her own way. I'm also a huge Miranda stan
Carrie and Charlotte probably fight again about the ring. Charlotte would ask about the money and Carrie would say that charlotte didn't buy the ring.
I love when shes out wedding gift shopping for miranda with carrie and samantha and theyre not taking it seriously so shes like ok how about we get her a stapler and wrap it in poop
its the best
*they left it out, but when Charlotte's brother Wesley got some TLC from Sam (after a years-long strike from his wife, Leslie)...i loved how Charlotte looked at Sam in a more appreciative light after he said: "That Samantha, you've got a great friend in HER". Lol.* #lovesit #SATC #protectMsMojo ❤🩹🗽👩🏻🧁🧺📺👠😍
Charlotte gave up a ring to help a friend and ended up with a better husband plus a way better ring. Karma does pay attention
I love Charlotte ❤
I love this show! Thank you!!
I'm nothing like her, but I love her so much.
She's always been my favourite 💗💗💗
Wien she stod up for Carrie at the restaurant when she meet big and her water Brooks whit rosé in the movie is my favorite witch her ❤️🇸🇪
I always loved Charlotte. She's the complete opposite of me as a person but I am surprised that a lot of people find her character annoying because I felt she was really believable
My friends always said I was the Charlotte of our friend group & I never saw it till this video wow
When she sees the picture of Lily and begins crying, while saying, "That's our baby!" I'm adopted and that part makes me bawl my eyes out.
Best Charlotte moment: When she frantically flew out of the restaurant after Samantha mentions "Funky Spunk"!
I really love how they support each other. I always like this part of them. B.F.❤ F.
I loved every character except Carrie (and Big). but in terms of casting, _everybody_ encapsulated their roles perfectly. Sarah Jessica Parker _IS_ Carrie - whether you dislike her character or not, but that's mainly on the writers giving her a sh*tty storyline later on
Charlotte is a loyal friend to Carrie, when she runs away from Big, and tells him I curse the day you were born.
Wonderful!
I was waiting for this since everyone had their's.... ❤️❤️❤️
Gotta love all the "Carrie haters" in the comments. Darren Star should be proud. That was his intent on her character. To have the main character imperfect. And a bit of the villain. She was the most realistic. Gotta love all the perfect ppl in the comments that have never made a mistake
Charlotte: the prettiest & wisest
Carrie: the most stylish
Samantha: the most confident
Miranda: the smartest & most hilarious
Love all of them ❤
I just rewatched the series on Netflix and my biggest regret of the season is that Miranda didn’t ask her to be Brady’s godmother over Carrie. She would have been so excited and the best godmom 🥰
Liked her and Miranda the most!
When she yells “no!” after big stood Carrie up should’ve been #1 hands down.
Charlotte is a real one. Love her.
Charlotte was the only female character on that show that came close to having something even close to a moral compass as well as anything close to kindness at all.
She is the prettiest as well.
The older I get i realize I am a charlotte
