One of my favorite movies of all time is a film called “The Endless Summer” which was first released back in the late 60’s and became a huge hit! It was a travelogue style movie about a group of friends who traveled around the world seeking adventure and looking for the perfect surf wave. I fell in love with that movie the first time I saw it and have watched it so many time since then… it’s just become part of my soul. And today’s vlog had that same kind of feeling to it and actually gave me goosebumps as I was watching it! All I kept thinking about was that Jackson totally has the skills to pull off creating a modern day remake of that movie with the other Sickos ……and it would be Amazing!!

Surf, scuba diving with mantas and whale sharks, whale-watching, and much more! This is is fact paradise on earth and we are also very environmentally aware. We are the first archipelago in the world to be certified as a sustainable tourist destination! :) Thank you once again for visiting our archipelago, you need to come again and visit the other islands they have very nice waves trust me (personal experience from a bodyboarder) ;)

its all pretty at first to get popular, but wait till mass surf tourism comes by.
Crowded lineups filled with inland kooks everywhere like we have here on the mainland. Algarve and peniche for example are horrible nowadays.

O turismo continental é muito diferente do turismo de ilhas e nós temos políticas ambientais e de controlo em curso. Claro que pode afetar em certo ponto os surfistas locais mas também quando viajamos queremos experimentar as ondas do destino... Equilíbrio é fundamental

It's known as the São Miguel Island. Not Azores! 😅 Azores is the archipelago. Welcome and have a great time here, it's one of the most underrated locations in the world! Check out Pico Island and Flores Island as well, you'll be blown away! 🤟🏻
I got to spend a month on Angra do Heroismo and it was so beautiful and the people were so much fun!!!

That was one of the BEST places i've ever visited. Ilha de Ponta Delgada!! Volcano, beach, mountain, hot springs at the ocean...and so on. That was quite long time algo!

Great video! In addition to Azores/Portugal, West Africa has some of the best surfing waves in the Atlantic. Dakar Senegal has nice tubes rolling in which is in part to the coastline shape and currents. There are other hidden gems along the West Acfrican coast that dont get much attention, but great for surf junkies.
Love the content! But tell the boys at Driftline to get the shorts up to Canada! Need the wetsuit liners up here.

I'm Portuguese and I do appreciate the comparison with Hawaii, but the real Hawaii of the Atlantic is Cape Verde, which is a bit of an ironic name since the islands are more brown than green.
