I've tried both products. I saw a huge change in my skin with the Osmosis Stem Factor then decided to try the Lemiux serum. With the Osmosis product I saw an amazing transformation in my skin but did not notice any visible difference after using the Lemiux product. I went back to using the Osmosis Stem Factor serum. You apply this serum to a clean face before any other product then layer on your other serums after. I disagree with her statement that the Osmosis Stem Factor serum would be for oily skin. My skin is normal and I find that when you layer your other serums like vitamin A and C plus your moisturizer the skin is plenty hydrated. I highly, highly recommend the entire Osmosis skincare line. It has done wonders for my skin.

Thank you Elle for that informative video! I am a 51 year old esthetician and have been working with the Osmosis MD line since 2018. I researched them for 5 months before I decided to bring them into my practice. I have been in the profession for 31 years and am very discerning about the products I offer and use. In 2020 I underwent 6 months of chemotherapy for Classical Hodgkins Lymphoma. The only treatment serum I used was Osmosis MD Stem Factor as it is Oncology safe! I honestly think it helped me from the chemotherapy speeding up the aging process of my skin!. Also I have dry and hypersensitive skin to begin with and normally citrus oils irritate it but I had no problem with it!
At the moment I am looking at bringing in some Le Mieux products and treatments to my practice so your video was very helpful.

Your review was sensational! I personally Love Osmosis products they do work, but I think it works much better and much more noticeably for mature skin.Which I am in my mid 50s.It does work when I use it. (the cost does interfere with me using it consistently.)But it does work well, makes me look about 20 years younger many say. I use nothing else and do nothing else but just those products. No plastic surgery at all, Not even professional dermabrasion or anything like that. Nothing but just the Osmosis products. I give Osmosis products an A+ Oh and for the record I am not the companies rep or anything like that! I just love the products.

Fantastic review, thank you. I am having second thoughts about growth factors due to Dr. Dray saying that there is some issue with growth factors empowering cancer cells. Thank you for addressing that concern and for Le Mieux's response. I don't have any skin cancer nor have any in my family but...I am a SoCal gal who enjoys the sun so I never know what may be lurking beneath the surface. Just good to know the issues so I can make an informed decision. Thank you Elle!!!

Hi Elle and thank you for your review. I thought you might be interested to know that on the Osmosis website they state that their source for stem cells is from a fat cell. Here's what a dermatology review about the role of growth factors in skincare products stated: "In a comparative study published in 2017 dermal growth factors outperformed growth factors derived from other kinds of human stem cells, like fat cells, as well as non-human sources of stem cells, such as snails and plants." I'm not sure of the impact of this statement on brands like Osmosis and Le Mieux who use pig intestine or fat cells as their source but there are other brands out there that use human skin stem cells as their source. Some of these are from embryo's so that might be controversial too. Just thought i'd put that information out there for people like myself who are researching this new and exciting development in skin care science. Best Wishes.

I never tried these two brands yet. Though thanks to Skinmedica TNS eye cream with growth factors I stopped injecting botox for my eye area. Last time I did it last September, in October I strated to put Skinmedica TNS cream. Now we are in June and I still do not need botox. I am 50 and I started botox with 32 years doing it each 6-7 months. I can’t believe that some cream with growth factors can substitute botox but it can. I only continue doing botox for my forehead as I did not see similar results from Skinmedica TNS face serum.

Goodness me Elle, this is an epic vid. Understanding is key for me when choosing anything. I understand so much more now.
I will be sticking to the Le Mieux serums, my skin is quite dry and the hydration from these products is perfect.
But there's another reason, plant extraction is always going to be far more favourable than human extraction for me. If there was only one EGF available and that used the human extraction, I wouldn't want it.
Thank you Elle for this amazing vid, 🧡💛💚🧡💛🧡💛💚

Very informative vid. I’ve been using growth factors for about 3 mos and had no idea if you’ve had skin cancer you shouldn’t be using them. Maybe a silly question, but for the companies selling growth factor products, why are there no such warnings on their web sites about this. This is very concerning. I would never have purchased GFs if I had known this in advance. Glad I’m subscribed to this channel or I would never have known. I’m hoping I haven’t “reactivated” any dormant skin cancer cells 😩

I have been curious about Le Mieux. I stopped using the SkinMedica as it didn’t wow me and it’s the most expensive one. I do have oily combo skin. Osmosis is $140 and last me for 5 months. I love my results and I’ve used this for 2 years. I like Osmosis much more than SkinMedica. I might try Le Mieux when I’m finished with Osmosis. My skin doctor is highly impressed with Osmosis and the affect on my skin. He is looking into adding the product line to his practice.

Thank you for another excellent product analysis and comparison, Elle! I am def looking into LeMieux TGF serum. I would LURVE to add the Osmosis Stem Factor serum to my routine but this is one of their "citrus punch" products that I can't use. I use a couple of Osmosis' fragrance free products -- Rescue and Infuse -- and both are AMAZING so I think anyone not sensitive to fragrance oils probably will get great results from the OSF serum too.

hello :) If you apply a serum with too many active ingredients (in quantity) or too powerful active ingredients (in intensity - but regardless of the nature of the skin) at the wrong age, is there a risk that the activity actives :
    1. tires the skin and causes early aging (for example, by stimulating the skin too much in its cell regeneration process, by stimulating too much the activity of fibroblasts pushing them to produce more collagen even when the skin still knows well do (// analogy: give a crutch to a person who is walking well)
    2. and therefore, in addition to tiring it out, is there a risk of making it dependent on active ingredients or even making it passive and lazy?

Are the growth factors from Osmosis, ethically curated? Meaning do the donors know that their tissue is going to serums? Are the from unborn fetuses? I’m interested in the ethical aspects as I learned about and appreciated from your first video.

If I do not have a make up refrigerator, would you recommend putting LeMieux in my regular refrigerator?

Hi Elle, I've emailed Osmosis to inquire why they add these terribly sensitizing ingredients.
Every derm I've met with tells me to avoid a variety of ingredients including the 3 you mentioned (witch hazel, citrus oils, and alcohols i.e. Benzyl Alcohol.)
I'm very sensitive and have mild Rosacea. My skin issues were under "control" and I decided to use the Osmosis Growth Factor and it wrecked havoc on my skin quite badly, for 3 weeks I could only use aloe vera to help heal my face. Do you ever use a product even though you know you shouldn't? lol Should have known better.

Beverly Werchan TNS is the best! I’ve tried several and I keep going back to the TNS. Wish it wasn’t so expensive!

She meant Dr. Ben Johnson, not Ben Fuchs.
I use the Osmosis. I feel it is superior although drying. That is easily remedied though.

Thanks for such a well researched and informative video. I have the TGF booster and unfortunately I’ve been putting it on after my vitamin C serum. I’ll change that now. If I purchase the Le Mieux EGF DNA. how do I incorporate it into my routine. Do I put one on in the morning and another at night or do I use both together and in what order? Since I have very mature skin, I always add a hyaluronic acid serum into my routine. Since the Le Mieux products have both ceramides and peptides, are any other serums necessary? Thanks!!

What concerns me is that the growth factors is not targeted, but promotes growth in all cells. This could potentially be harmful in that it could promote the replication of cells damaged by the sun, which could cause an accelerated formation of skin cancers. Someone would only need to have a history of UV damage, not necessarily a history of a skin cancer, for potential negative effects. The most common types of skin cancer grow very slowly and typically make themselves known toward the 5th decade of life and after. Considering this, I worry that people, especially the users in their 30s, may develop skin cancers earlier if they use this growth factor. Just to be clear, it would not be the growth factor that causes any cancer growth, but instead it would promote the growth of existing damaged cells.

first skin medica isn't cruelty free and their growth hormones aren't as clean as osmosis, they also aren't oncologist approved

Oh thank you thank you so much for this I am a huge osmosis fan along with the truth treatments I believe you were the one who got me hooked on Brianna Stanko... what I learned from you beautiful L is that with medical grade skin care your money is always wisely invested... here’s my question yet I think you answered it:
I’m thinking of purchasing both of the Lemieuxs and mixing them with the osmosis stem cell, truth treatment bio mist , and their truth treatment vitamin C oil. What are your thoughts on that?

    • @ElleLearyArtistry
      @ElleLearyArtistry  5 років тому

you can totally do that, as I do. but I don't see the need to use the osmosis stem and both of the le mieux together, you can use them on different days

I don’t think the LM TGF Booster isn’t a growth factor serum? I don’t see any actual TGF Beta in the ingredients, I think it supposedly boosts TGF-b but doesn’t contain it like AnteAge does.

Thank you. I watched your first video and bought Le Mieux EGF. Now trying to determine if I should buy the TGF serum. Was wondering if one serum had more growth factors than the other, so which would give me the most bang for my buck.... if I could only choose one? The EGF product has a ton of peptides which makes me wonder if it has less growth factors.

I just watched your video I would be curious why Ben Johnson chose to add witch hazel and benzol alcohol in his product...but his product is still $45. less than the two Le Mieux'. I've watched you for a while and I believe you favor Le Mieux (I purchased something of theirs from your recommendation) so please don't think I I think you're favoring one over the other. I am currently using Osmosis skin treatment line so I have opinion, but would be curious to try Le Mieux when I run out...but not if it last's only two months :(.

Hoping you see this. You mentioned acne prone skin would do better in the TGF but I can’t figure out if the Osmosis is EGF or TGF. I’m using the osmosis and think it’s the culprit breaking me out. It’d make sense if it’s EGF but wanted to ask. Thanks!

I usually place my MAELOVE vit C first after essence.. Do I bump vit C after the GF?
On the nights (3x per week) that I use my Drunk Elephant Retinol cream, can I use GF with retinol?
