There is no cure to pride One needs to choose to be humble with the help of the Holy Spirit.. Galatians chapter 5 read it my friend meditate on it. One step at a time make it a habit.🙏
Don’t do it for the fear of “loosing you spot “ , do it for your love to our Lord and his , for you . The simple way is to take it one day at a time , and be aware of your own actions. Moses struck the Rock.....and that was it for him. Moses was the most humble man in the world. Yes, he was angry; his sister Miriam just died and he was grieving for her. Also, it was not the spirit of pride which kept them wandering in the wilderness for 40 years, but the sin of the spies. That was their punishment for bringing back a bad report about the land of Israel and not trusting in God's promise.

God doesn’t send anyone to hell, people choose to go there by rejecting God and his free gift of salvation. It’s not what he wants but he gave everyone free will to make choices. Indeed, pride has the power to prevent people from becoming closer in their relationship with God, so as you go on try your hardest to not be so prideful, and yes you may not be able to stop yourself from feeling pride but we are human… we make mistakes.

Pride is tricky, sometimes it's boisterous but other times it's subtle. Aligning yourself with God's will is really hard but keep praying and listening to Him.
Jesus died for ALL SIN. There is no sin that can keep you from Heaven. Only righteous people can go to Heaven. NO ONE is righteous EXCEPT Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ IMPUTES HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS on those who put their trust in what He did on the cross and His resurrection from the dead. HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS imputed to a believer is what allows them into Heaven.

It wasn't that Moses just struck the rock, it was a misrepresentation of Christ, the Rock. Jesus was struck, ONCE for all, for the sin of all. (Isaiah 53), not TWICE. Through this Moses did not hallow the name of Yah, thus, distorting His prophetic promise regarding Jesus.

One problem is that God did not react to Moses's pride. God had foreknowledge that Moses would sin this way. He knew that when He called Moses at the burning bush that Moses would not see the promised land. God does not react. Rather, He plans for fallen man.
Clever boy! All you need to remember is 'many are called, few are chosen'. I'm not sure that it was pride that kept him out but disobedience. Moses was very humble. Will he be in the kingdom? I think so, he appeared with Elijah to Jesus on the mountain.

This is just a misrepresentation of Biblical Accounts of events. Moses was neither proud nor intended to disobey God’s directives in the first place, but unanticipated circumstances that stemmed from overwhelming and incessant naggings, threats, blames, and unnecessary accusations from his own people, who could not just see the bigger picture, in spite of the temporary challenges that they encountered at that juncture, particularly after Almighty God had taken them through phases of deliverances in their odyssey to the Promise Land. And, as a result of the aforementioned factors that had huge psychological impact on Moses, that subsequently, of course, triggered his human fallibility, as he was then left with little or no option of caving in to the needless complaints of his people, frustratedly.
I love your comment but that’s not why Moses didn’t make it to the promise land. The reason is: God was not sanctified among the people (it’s clearly written). Sanctified here means “set apart”. Striking the rock to bring water is not something the people saw as soo miraculous since others besides God had done the same. So for God to prove he is not like the others he instructed Moses to speak to the rock. But Moses struck the rock again. It wasn’t pride. God clearly said there is none as humble and meek as Moses in all the earth. Moses even begged God for forgiveness on many occasions and one time the Angel sternly warned him not to bring this matter to him anymore. Until this day Moses cheated God of a great miracle who’s songs we would have been hearing throughout the generation and God couldn’t forgive that. When you think you have a revelation, please do more seeking.

I know exactly what spirit you are talking about. I wanted to give some homeless people some money, my brother, after giving all the change he had, hardened his heart when I offered to sell a device that had been the center of idolatry in my life, so that the homeless people had more money. I failed to reach the pawn shop in time, and my heart was moved to give those homeless people the device for them to sell, but they were gone. All the while my fury burned for having to use my slow bike for this task, and I sinned against God by spewing Sarcasm and hate speech against God for having to bike 2 miles balancing the device with a low rear tire. That spirit of pride was fully manifesting in me by expressing bitter disappointment toward God for not moving my brother's heart for the homeless people. My brother was adament that I had to do this alone like every other time that he loses his patience. He called the abandonment necessary because he believed I had to have a hard experience because I was addicted to the device. Both of us were homeless once, so I flew into outrage when he wouldn't help me help that family of homeless people.

That was not the reason why Moses wasnt allowed into the promise Land. He was told to speak to the rock (that is to declare the Rock which represents Christ) but he struck it. What Moses did was messed up the prophecy that God was giving about Christ. He was told to struck the rock before and he did so. But this time he was suppose to speak to it. That is because Christ is only crucified once and not twice. Jesus came the first time to be crucified (being struck) and the second time He is coming to reign as King (thats why He was supposed to be declared). But Moses messed up. Thats why God didn't allow him and Aaron to go into tbe promise land. It wasnt any direct pride or anything else. It was just disobedience because he became angry with the people. Lets speak according to GOD's wisdom 🙏🏿

I have struggled with pride for my whole life. And without fail, every time I get a little too big for my britches, God has not shyd away from putting me in my place. Got to say, it makes life harder. Humility makes life a whole lot easier that wrestling for control and credit.
Read countless passages on pride, and came to understand it is the root of so many other sins. Keep special watch on that one. Not to be confused with exuberance and gratitude over God’s creations, and the things we create in God’s name. You don’t have to be solemn, just stop taking all the credit.

Hello, hope this finds you well, but- there is varying degree of sin- yes, sin is sin, evil. Though there is a difference between a transgression and an iniquity, for instance. Nonetheless, we must confess them all to the Lord, for He is faithful and just to forgive us and cleanse us from all and any unrighteousness, His work then being completed in the day of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Moses was the most humble man in the world. Yes, he was angry; his sister Miriam just died and he was grieving for her. Also, it was not the spirit of pride which kept them wandering in the wilderness for 40 years, but the sin of the spies. That was their punishment for bringing back a bad report about the land of Israel and not trusting in God's promise.

Do you know the difference between pride and self love? Pride is actually based in fear. Fear that people will not love you if you aren't great enough. Self love is understanding that you are loved, and nothing can change that.

Indeed, pride has the power to prevent people from becoming closer in their relationship with God, so as you go on try your hardest to not be so prideful, and yes you may not be able to stop yourself from feeling pride but we are human… we make mistakes.

One problem is that God did not react to Moses's pride. God had foreknowledge that Moses would sin this way. He knew that when He called Moses at the burning bush that Moses would not see the promised land. God does not react. Rather, He plans for fallen man.

This is just a misrepresentation of Biblical Accounts of events. Moses was neither proud nor intended to disobey God’s directives in the first place, but unanticipated circumstances that stemmed from overwhelming and incessant naggings, threats, blames, and unnecessary accusations from his own people, who could not just see the bigger picture, in spite of the temporary challenges that they encountered at that juncture, particularly after Almighty God had taken them through phases of deliverances in their odyssey to the Promise Land. And, as a result of the aforementioned factors that had huge psychological impact on Moses, that subsequently, of course, triggered his human fallibility, as he was then left with little or no option of caving in to the needless complaints of his people, frustratedly.

I love your comment but that’s not why Moses didn’t make it to the promise land. The reason is:
God was not sanctified among the people (it’s clearly written).
Sanctified here means “set apart”. Striking the rock to bring water is not something the people saw as soo miraculous since others besides God had done the same. So for God to prove he is not like the others he instructed Moses to speak to the rock. But Moses struck the rock again. It wasn’t pride. God clearly said there is none as humble and meek as Moses in all the earth.
Moses even begged God for forgiveness on many occasions and one time the Angel sternly warned him not to bring this matter to him anymore. Until this day Moses cheated God of a great miracle who’s songs we would have been hearing throughout the generation and God couldn’t forgive that.
When you think you have a revelation, please do more seeking.

I know exactly what spirit you are talking about.
I wanted to give some homeless people some money, my brother, after giving all the change he had, hardened his heart when I offered to sell a device that had been the center of idolatry in my life, so that the homeless people had more money. I failed to reach the pawn shop in time, and my heart was moved to give those homeless people the device for them to sell, but they were gone.
All the while my fury burned for having to use my slow bike for this task, and I sinned against God by spewing Sarcasm and hate speech against God for having to bike 2 miles balancing the device with a low rear tire.
That spirit of pride was fully manifesting in me by expressing bitter disappointment toward God for not moving my brother's heart for the homeless people.
My brother was adament that I had to do this alone like every other time that he loses his patience. He called the abandonment necessary because he believed I had to have a hard experience because I was addicted to the device.
Both of us were homeless once, so I flew into outrage when he wouldn't help me help that family of homeless people.

That was not the reason why Moses wasnt allowed into the promise Land. He was told to speak to the rock (that is to declare the Rock which represents Christ) but he struck it. What Moses did was messed up the prophecy that God was giving about Christ. He was told to struck the rock before and he did so. But this time he was suppose to speak to it. That is because Christ is only crucified once and not twice. Jesus came the first time to be crucified (being struck) and the second time He is coming to reign as King (thats why He was supposed to be declared). But Moses messed up. Thats why God didn't allow him and Aaron to go into tbe promise land. It wasnt any direct pride or anything else. It was just disobedience because he became angry with the people. Lets speak according to GOD's wisdom 🙏🏿

I have struggled with pride for my whole life. And without fail, every time I get a little too big for my britches, God has not shyd away from putting me in my place. Got to say, it makes life harder. Humility makes life a whole lot easier that wrestling for control and credit.

Read countless passages on pride, and came to understand it is the root of so many other sins. Keep special watch on that one. Not to be confused with exuberance and gratitude over God’s creations, and the things we create in God’s name. You don’t have to be solemn, just stop taking all the credit.
