Thank you for sharing this video, my Bosch Washer is 20 years old and works as good as the day i bought it, but last weekend the latch would not close and the issue was exactly what you shared. I took the ring off, the switch was still in good shape, I put it back in, got it clipped and fought a little with the ring to get it back on but followed your advice and in 10 mins everything is back up and working. I was thinking i needed to get a new Bosch washer when this issue happened last weekend but you just saved me $2,000 and the time to wait to get the machine. Thanks for sharing
Thank you so much managed to pop the spring off and reach inside for the lock bit that fell inside and washing machine is currently on! I called bosch and due to the corona virus they didn't know when they would be able to fix it. So happy!
Hi there thank you this helped a lot but i was lucky as my wash machine door lock had slipped in the machine and was not locking properly so as you put the lock back in and clicked it i did the same and voila its working again thank you as you saved me a lot of hassle..
Thanks so much....but HELP! Up the last step and I CANNOT get the ring with the spring back on to secure the gasket! I'm a 'not so strong' person and I simply cannot stretch the spring enough. Can you help???
@@QuickAndEasy5MinuteAppliance I appreciate you getting back to me. I did coat it with liquid detergent ;=(. I'm trying to find someone to help, but it's not looking promising. I just ordered a 'spring spreader' that LG/Samsung recommends to assist with this and 'fingers crossed'. Will keep you updated. Thanks again.
Spreader did not work. The tips were too fat for the Bosch spring and a wire. A couple of hours more of trying, trying, trying....my finger tips are sore!....oh, to be OCD!....I had someone forcefully hold the top part of the spring while I maneuvered the wire around the gasket and pulled the bottom part of the spring with a pliers as I manipulated the wire into the gasket groove. And....It worked!!!! The washer is now working as I write this. Thanks so much for the video, reply, and your expertise. Amazing. With gratitude, S.C.

It’s good to coat it in liquid detergent and maybe get another person to help 👍

What is a good lubricant for the metal spring that won’t rust or damage the plastic rim?
Hi Ivy,
Liquid dishwasher detergent is great👍
Thank you!
Where does that red plastic stick go? Mine came completely out when I was working on it!
I can't get the door lock out of my Bosch washer Model # WFMC1001US/13.
Can you put the end of a Phillips head screw driver on the plastic pins and tap the back end of the screw driver with a hammer👍
How did you order? Thank you
What error code do you get
