Very nice in-depth review. I'm looking for a third safe to go on top of my second safe which is a solid steel two Shelf 3 ft high I use to keep my pistols and other valuables in. I want something to place on top with quick access as I plan on storing one of my pistols, one of many knives and yes a flashbang lol. It'll be my middle of the night emergency go to device.

I purchased one, the fingerprint reader works flawless I do recommend programming the same finger at least twice in different orientations. I had to buy 2x2 edge non-slip furniture pads and stick 4 to the bottom of this safe. The doors swings open fast and hard enough to make it slide. Let me know if you want the link to these non-slip pads, they are thicker so they stick out a bit further than the plastic lining around each side of the safe.

I bought one of these safes on Amazon and the spring for the lid doesnt have enough tension on it to open the lid when unlocked. You have to put tension on the back with one hand while opening with the other hand (which defeats the purpose). I'm going to try and take the hinge apart and see if there is a way to adjust the tension. Otherwise I'll have to install a spring in the bottom of the safe to apply the needed tension to open the thing with one hand.

@@DarleneCarr777 I'm the kind of guy that would rather try to fix something if I can instead of returning it. I just shimmed the hinges and now it works fine 🙂

Is there a way to open the safe if you've locked the keys inside before putting the batteries in?

On the side of the safe there is a charging port, plug in the cord that came with it, or find a cord that fits it, and enter the manufacturer key that is supplied with it.
It should be a 6-digit code.
