Damn, from the title alone I'm getting pre-emptive goosebumps. And that simplicity is honestly one of the best kinds of creepiness. It's not "A terrifying monster stalks outside my window and it's super scary looking, probably wants to kill me!" it's simply _something whistling every night._ And whether or not it was actually a monster or just some guy who genuinely enjoys taking long nightly walks, there _are_ people out there crazy enough to do something like this in the middle of the night for an entirely different reason, and just imagining myself laying in bed doom-scrolling, only to hear someone whistling outside... Ugh! Instant goosebumps. Yes, it's harmless now, just someone whistling every night outside your window. But imagine one fateful evening, laying in bed, fully knowing the exact time down to the second when the whistling will occur... and you hear it inside your house. I'm definitely reading that story! Thanks for sharing it!
Something that I think is right with your guys' style is "my friend is camping alone, his texts are starting to scare me." It's a shorter one (about 30 minutes), but would be a great fit and it's my personal favorite!

The thing with AI being so good at creating images and videos of hell is that the mistakes AI still makes add to the uncannyness of it all making it even creepier. A picture of a guy on a beach with two left arms and more than 5 fingers - the AI fucked up. But the image of the same guy in the context of "he's in hell" and suddenly it feels very different. And although the potential of AI is certainly frightening, we cannot forget that AI right now (or at least the AIs that are available to the public right now) are far from being "intelligent".
54:14 if I recall, My House actually ended up inspiring a horror game called “Jisatsu”. Where a TV reporter is sent to an abandoned property made to look like the home from My House.
30:00 Done a house repo on a property like this, it's no exaggeration. It was like someone flipped several dumpsters upside down and made paths to walk through. We taped the fridge shut to move it because even attempting to open it wasn't gonna work for any of us. People were surprised to learn he owned dogs because they never saw any. Cause they never left the house. An entire back room given over for their bathroom use for literal years had to be left to hazmat.
I've been following nana for years and his content goes from happy wholesome Minecraft videos to absolute nightmare horror. He's been developing a horror game from scratch all by himself for a few years now and watching his progress on it has been truly fascinating.
My House Walkthrough is one of my favorite horror shorts on UA-cam. It's so unsettling for how simple it is. I also recommend watching the shorts of Dylan Clark. His short, Portrait Of God, is my other favorite horror short. But his other films are fun too :)
as a gen z who loooooved urban legends (especially on the internet) as a kid, i’m in my early 20s and around people who also were since we were some of the youngest people to have access to the early stages of the internet. I think people can still believe in urban internet legends, but as Isaiah said it can’t be in a youtube format. For example; - the Siberian dancing lady (i think is what it’s called?) - Cave spelunking/exploring videos - the man who’s camera was found in the Paris Catacombs after he went missing but most notably for me growing up, before Kane Pixels made his rendition of the Backrooms, it has already been an internet urban legend for a couple years. for some reason a lot of people think he invented it when he absolutely didn’t, more so expanded on it. i still remember reading the newest chapters on reddit with my friends of the guy who was stuck in that place, and called it “the Backrooms”. we were all super in to it and even a little worried for fun.
I just wanna thank you two for reigniting my love for internet horror. I had drifted away years ago because the genre wasn't really doing anything for me anymore, but you're reminding me how good it can be. And teaching me about some stories I missed out on!
The ‘walk through my house’ video has always made me think of the old PS2 Fatal Frame games. The horror of it all is simply insinuated too, it’s a really great video. I wish more stuff was like this

speaking of nana's work i think POKOPOKOPIKOTAN (i think that's the name) is worth mentioning, maybe the whole "starts cute but gets dark" premise is a bit cliche but the paper cutout artwork is genuinely really cute and well-done while the darker side of the video is also pretty amusing to see. it doesn't go for the typical hyper realistic visuals, the characters and setting stay cartoony and cutesy but are gradually overtaken by some kind of disgusting corruption, the setting itself is treated as some art project as the paper characters are physically torn apart and someone behind the camera literally starts slamming and stomping on the scene, it's very amusing

those tags in the back mentioned at 41:50 are ofuda! theyre a shinto-buddhist talisman that are used in rituals and stuff because they are said to hold the powers of deities. there's a pokemon item based off of them too called the spell tag that raises the power of ghost type moves (irrelevant but that's where i recognized it from)
I think I first heard about Username 666 in a Mr. Nightmare video and 13 year old me was too scared to look it up so I'm glad to be finally be educated "safely" by Creep TV
Your conversation about how technology has progressed so much that we need to take a step up in order to make it convincing just keeps reminding me of how I want to see or make a found footage horror movie with high quality practical effects but it uses an actual crappy camera the whole time to make it more real (like waste the budget on the practical effects but use a terrible camera). Thinking about this and with digital horror on the rise and even creators replicating old UA-cam videos makes me want to do that by using a low quality digital camera from the time with convincing, high quality practical effects of a monster attack in 4:3, 240p resolution edited in 2000s Windows Movie Maker with the same nostalgic quirks of the time.
Im here to recommend "Fake Documentary Q" again for another episode of Creep TV!, it would maybe have to be 2 parts or you could just talk about some highlight ones for an episode but it is an insanely well made horror anthology series here on youtube that deserves so so so much praise.

Wendigoon's talk about demons and AI makes me wonder if he knows about Loab; I'm surprised he didn't mention it. Man, 666 and nana takes me back quite a bit. Nana could be one hell of a filmmaker if s/he ever tried to make one. The behind the scenes of house walk-through amazed me with how much work went into it.
Usually I don’t comment on videos, but hunter talking about abandoned houses reminded me of a forest reserve I’ve been to that used to be an old farmstead. Most of the buildings were caved in and I always liked looking through them for anything left behind (bottles, plates, trinkets). This one particular time I was already feeling a little jumpy because the woods had overgrown through some of the windows of the bones of some of the old buildings. The sun was low in the sky so with the trees towering over the buildings, the structures seemed almost pitch black inside, at least whatever was still standing. Nothing was very eventful exploring them apart from a dead raccoon but in one of the buildings that still remained intact, it looked to be a small house with the door missing in the front. Upon going in there was an upstairs and a stone basement that I refused to go down but the part that I still think about was; its normal for houses like these to not have any furniture but the main room that you walked in had some. But it wasn’t couches or anything, it was a super long table you’d see in an office with like 20 office chairs put around in, some tipped over, one laying against the doorframe. It was just weird because it had been a house, but the furniture seemed from what I could tell compared to everything else, newer. I always think back to how weird it is when I see abandoned houses in the country when I’m driving around.
re: younger generations not having the scary internet urban legend experiences we had - i still see chain letter/email legends in comment sections, and i came across a recent ARG (don’t remember what it was called-it had a clown lady who was a kids show host?) with comment sections full of “is this real????” comments. i think the whimsy is alive and well, but that kids age out of it faster than they used to

Mr Meat breaking into an old dilapidated house on farm property is so Crybaby Lane to me. Highly recommend! This episode was great, channel 666 is a classic
My house walkthrough was so unnerving. I watched it alone, in the dark, at night. I have become inured to most horror from years of shows, and then further from so many video games (both horror story, as well as the organic scares from stuff like Phasmo and clones). I can understand that the horror is happening, but I no longer really feel that deep core feeling of uneasiness.. like you have an insect crawling over your soul. It just doesn't happen... until this video. This was such a good video for building up that tension and dread, through simple visuals at first, then the audio, then the realization of the implications of the narrator's repetitive speaking, all layering as the video progresses. A true gem.
I think the thing they fail to register with the whole requesting depictions of Hell from AI is that the AI has a certain range of references to pull from, and there's evident consistency in a lot of what is produced. For the most part, you're going to get a lot of the same stuff, an amalgamation of actual artistic depictions and depictions drawn from written references and descriptions. AI is about as good at depicting the human idea of Hell as it is in depicting really anything else. It helps that Hell is a nebulous concept, though, so much of it's 'accuracy' is imparted by the mind and it's presuppositions of what we already think Hell is like.
Exactly. AI doesn't really "create" anything original, it simply takes a survey of available data and makes something that reflects elements from the original sources.
I personally dont believe in hell, and I find the thought of dying and that's it, nothing but nothingness is more scary than anything else in existence.
Yeah it doesn't fit the islamic depiction of hell at all lmao, it was funny seeing them see those ai generatored videos nd actually think that they're accurate. Hell and heaven are beyond human comprehension imo and trying to put it to a single video is a fools errand.

Id love for them to read the nosleep creepypasta "my city has been cut from the outide world and overrun with monsters". Its not only a really good read with fun characters, interesting rules and neat monster designs but I think that overall it would be a really fun creepcast episode.
I know that it’s very superstitious but the minute he explained the Solomon AI-Demon thing I fully believed it. I guess it’s sort of a Gremlin thing where we just sort of gravitate to imagining abstract technology as being run by a bunch of little men in a box
I remember seeing these when when I was young, he's made some amazing stuff, his visuals are so unique. That being said I do feel like he just enjoys the doll and bugs, not sure there's a deeper meaning there.
Hunter is the true definition of “disturb the comfort and comfort the disturbed” of the old man following him after breaking into his dilapidated house…
Honestly I do get what hunter means with finding that one video calming. It’s very abrasive but the imagery itself is nostalgic almost like looking thru a photo album while mourning
I disagree, to a degree. Some interjections are okay, - but to make a metaphor: A catchy song doesn't have too many breaks. A tight video makes it easier to recall the info- like a catchy song.
Knowing what I know about the Occult side.of Ancient Dolls origins they creep the crap out of me. Also look up Black Mirror in the context of the Occult and then realize that all modern screens are black mirrors that is nightmare fuel
If AI is a combined consciousness of demons from hell, then that really puts all the anime roleplay sex bot chats I've participated in into a new context
I have an idea guys!! Would it be possible, for CreepTV, to have the video up full-screen the whole time, with Isaiah & Hunter in little boxes in the corners? We'd be able to see their faces the instant they react to something in the video. Maybe switch to just Isaiah or just Hunter if they're talking with the video paused. This would make it so much more fun!!

This is the best podcast ever. The way Hunter and Isaiah's perspectives on the different horror media they look at differ so much makes it so interesting, and their chemistry just elevates it
Since I’m so early, I wanted to request a special episode where you guys write creepypastas of your own and read them to each other. You guys are my new favorite podcast, so I can’t help but ask. 👍
I would pay actual money to see that.
I would be fascinated to see what kind of horror Hunter and Isaiah come up with when writing their own. I second this idea!!

Recommending the story: “Something Walks Past My House Whistling Every Night At 3:03” for your short grab bag video series. Pretty short r/nosleep story but a very good one.
Is that the Ice Cream Truck one or no?
@@detectivectenders No it isn’t, it’s more of an eldritch horror story. And the one you’re talking about might be also, but no this one doesn’t have any ice cream trucks.
The story sounds already creepy
Is that the one where the cousin sleeps over and doesn't know about it? Trying to be as vague as possible as to not spoil it
Something that I think is right with your guys' style is "my friend is camping alone, his texts are starting to scare me." It's a shorter one (about 30 minutes), but would be a great fit and it's my personal favorite!

wendy saying “ah yes, youth” as his childhood horrors flash before his eyes

By Chilla's Art!! Such a great game dev, I love that most of their games are Japanese horror based !!
Portrait of god is amazing horror short films always so unique, but that one really stuck with me
I still remember being traumatized by Portrait of God, as someone with religious trauma that was a wild ride.
as a gen z who loooooved urban legends (especially on the internet) as a kid, i’m in my early 20s and around people who also were since we were some of the youngest people to have access to the early stages of the internet.
I think people can still believe in urban internet legends, but as Isaiah said it can’t be in a youtube format. For example;
- the Siberian dancing lady (i think is what it’s called?)
- Cave spelunking/exploring videos
- the man who’s camera was found in the Paris Catacombs after he went missing
but most notably for me growing up, before Kane Pixels made his rendition of the Backrooms, it has already been an internet urban legend for a couple years. for some reason a lot of people think he invented it when he absolutely didn’t, more so expanded on it. i still remember reading the newest chapters on reddit with my friends of the guy who was stuck in that place, and called it “the Backrooms”. we were all super in to it and even a little worried for fun.
My favorite podcast with the professional Jeff Goldblum impersonator and that guy who looks like he can control fire!
I wish more stuff was like this
That stuff clearly had to inspire the creators of that P.T. Silent Hill demo. It's uncanny how similar it is.
@@chillax319 Agreed! I miss the days when it wasn’t so ‘in your face’ with tons of jump scares. Atmosphere, ambience, and tidbits of lore scattered for you to find… it lets your imagination run wild and make it so much more terrifying!

speaking of nana's work i think POKOPOKOPIKOTAN (i think that's the name) is worth mentioning, maybe the whole "starts cute but gets dark" premise is a bit cliche but the paper cutout artwork is genuinely really cute and well-done while the darker side of the video is also pretty amusing to see. it doesn't go for the typical hyper realistic visuals, the characters and setting stay cartoony and cutesy but are gradually overtaken by some kind of disgusting corruption, the setting itself is treated as some art project as the paper characters are physically torn apart and someone behind the camera literally starts slamming and stomping on the scene, it's very amusing
just went to nanas channel there and watched it by sorting his vids by most popular. such an amazing video and genuinely the first youtube horror vid that made me cry from how unsettled and disgusted i was

Mr. Nightmare is a total badass and he's still making videos to this day.

No Through Road was made about 15 years ago and it’s still quite terrifying, would recommend y’all to watch it

I always think back to how weird it is when I see abandoned houses in the country when I’m driving around.
re: younger generations not having the scary internet urban legend experiences we had - i still see chain letter/email legends in comment sections, and i came across a recent ARG (don’t remember what it was called-it had a clown lady who was a kids show host?) with comment sections full of “is this real????” comments. i think the whimsy is alive and well, but that kids age out of it faster than they used to
Back in the day not everyone had high quality cell phone cameras and video editing skills, so we were much more willing to take bs indie horror seriously too

Damn
So like humans; AI is derivative?
.
Yeah it doesn't fit the islamic depiction of hell at all lmao, it was funny seeing them see those ai generatored videos nd actually think that they're accurate. Hell and heaven are beyond human comprehension imo and trying to put it to a single video is a fools errand.
Yup yup!
