Wendi literally says later on in the video that it’s better than the first time he read it and still think Hunter didn’t notice😂😂😂
Maybe Isaiah could've saved it by saying he skimmed over the story. You can tell when there's a quote at first glance by the format without needing to read it. That's if hunter even noticed it

"I found the bunker of a prepper family who went missing three years ago"
Easily one of the most terrifying stories I had the pleasure of coming across and I would highly recommend it for Creepcast.
Quick non-spoiler premise summary:
It's about a guy exploring a HUGE abandoned bunker. It belonged to a family that disappeared after staying in it for a while and was left behind like a crime scene.
And it isn't like a one room bunker, it's made up of multiple rooms across 3 floors that go deep into the earth and are consumed by darkness.
It is a horrifying scenario that I never even realized I was afraid of and the story does a great job at describing how horrifying it would be to possibly be trapped in a location like this
Edit: the original story is on nosleep if ya'll wanna read it for yourself.
Additionally, if ya'll wanna listen to it instead, I recommend Dark Somnium's narration on UA-cam. Dude's a legend and doesn't get nearly enough attention imo
I searched this up and there's a basic punctuation mistake in the first line. I'm no grammar "dictator", but it leaves a bad impression.
@TheDolphinTuna you mean how there's no dot in Dr.?
@@TheDolphinTuna "minor spelling mistake, I win."
@@TheDolphinTuna You forgot to put a comma between "up" and "and"; your sentence is made up of a dependent clause with an independent clause, so add something between them.
It's the one where the protagonist goes there with a dog? If so, yeah, it was a pretty good one
This guy giving out his general location several times while getting emailed by a possible serial killer and/or people weird enough to pretend to be one reminds me that the 2000s to early 2010s had a serious lack of widespread internet safety knowledge, lol.

The guy in the bear suit is probably a reference to a popular Swedish children's TV program from back in the day, that had persisted into the 1990s that's called "Björnes Magasin".
This program featured a guy in a bear mascot costume as the main character called Björne, which is a name that is a play both on a popular Swedish male name and the word for bear, so if you translated it you could passably refer to him as "Mr. Bear", and he entertains guests and does wacky things in his old abandoned warehouse home. This show also featured other shows that was either specifically made for it, or they bought the rights to broadcast, both live action and animated shows.

I didn't know until I was eighteen that my Dad was a recovering alcoholic, even though in hindsight that information could have avoided so many times I'd accidentally really hurt him or been left confused and speculating after hearing snippets of arguments between my parents. I also didn't know until I was an adult what a monster my great-grandfather was, and even now I don't know his first name. Talk to your kids, people, they're smarter than you think.

This made me think back to the unsupervised Internet access I had as an 8 year old. When I came across videos that were too mature for me, I didn't necessarily understand what I saw. If someone were to ask me about it, I wouldn't have been able to describe it, but I could have told them the video felt "bad". I wasn't able to process what I saw but I could still feel the twist in my gut and a heavy guilt weighing on me. As children, we are somehow able to tell when something is not right, even if we can't explain why. I can imagine the gross feeling I would have had if I saw Mr. Bear and the weird experience of sitting down at the dinner table with my family while replaying the weird images in my head.
Totally. Kids are way more attuned than we give them credit for - they just might not have the language for it beyond "bad" or "icky" or "weird." Everything is so confusing for children already, never mind the things that give you a weird vibe, maybe even so weird that you're worried about getting in trouble if you bring it up. I definitely saw some things as a kid on TV or in films that weren't appropriate (classic apathetic Boomer parents) and they would take up space in my head as you say.
Yeah bro. Live leak was a thing when I was about 11-12 years old. Saw my first beheading there at 13. BME pain Olympics, tub girl, Mr Hands, Glass Ass, and Teo Girls One Cup were all required watching for early teenagers.
Our parents had no idea…
The first sex scene I saw in a film left me feeling icky as a kid. Even though my parents muted and sped thru it, my young mind still felt disturbed. Adult stuff has more of an impact on kids than people think
The last bit of the video where Wendigoon explained the add-ons makes me feel so sane after all these years. When re-listening to the story in like 2014 and the Boobi and Paint With The Soul were gone, I thought I just dreamed it up. Glad I'm not the only one who remembers it like that

The idea that wendigoon wouldn't know is hilarious! This guy does icebergs of everything creepy, kooky, mysterious and spooky. Come on Hunter... deep down you knew he knew this story 😂
I also remember a part with a description of a video where a hand gets cut with scissors, and when that part didn't show up I was thinking, "Am I getting this mixed up with another Creepypasta?" Thank you for clarifying why some parts were missing - I had no idea those were added by other people and weren't part of the original story!
YES! Thank you for clarifying this I was losing my mind because that bit stuck out to me so much
Someone on reddit said, that this is apparently a lie and I quote: "It was part of the original story, and Camden has been trying to scrub the existence of the original unaltered story after people found out it plagiarized Alantutorial. He was also trying to get a book deal so he hastily cut out the plagiarized material which left in some very notable continuity errors within the story. It's a very bold-faced lie and it was only until people like Slimebeast or Fishonastick made videos calling Camden out for his sketchy behavior that only added fuel to the fire regarding the controversy." and yes, you can still actually find Videos of mentioned creators on that matter.
@@reakumi The rabbit hole goes deeper! Thanks for the info - I'm going to look into this more. Now I'm even more curious about what the real story is...
I do remember that on some forums people would get together and add little bits or even rewrite these stories entirely. Probably why some people remember Jeffery the Account Terminator not being so bad.
@@juliesimon1778 1999 was my fav creepypasta back in the day and especially the part with the scissors stuck with me. So I also went down the Rabbithole, because I loved the OG Version!
I REMEMBER THE HAND SHOW TOO! I kept waiting for you to talk about the hand getting stabbed by scissors!
Me too!!
Omg me too!!!
Booby! Why'd they skip it???
@@nolancho Cause it's not from the official story. They mention it near the end
Same here!!!
Isaiah playing with the teddy bear while Hunter being unaware was such a treat 🐻 😂
i love the little glimpses we get into wendigoons home life, it seems like such a wholesome relationship
I think what's really great about the story is the character growing up in the fast evolution of early 2000s tech and how the info/horror follows him with that evolution. He's exposed as a child to this horror with an old TV, tracks down VHS tapes to watch the incident, gets creepy emails from "Mr. Bear"and finally even potentially hacked by "Mr. Bear." Old tech reliving the memory while modern tech haunting him with fake emails, hacked poem-- makes the story really unique to the time it was written, esp for the generation growing up at that time (ex. me!)- makes it that much more real, impactful and frightening.
100 fuzzy hugs to Wendi and Meat
You put it down excellently
It also gave great justification for not being able to include everything, like any of the tapes. Them being police evidence pretty much suffices, but he points out that he has no idea how to transfer media from a tape to a computer. There's something really interesting there to me about lost media being lost in real time, if that makes sense? Now there's no excuse for mentioning a picture or video and not including it, but it feels just right here.
21:57 Memories of childhood are the most horrifying things for me. As someone with a fucked up childhood, everything from back then exists in a weird state just like this story captures. I love hearing you guys talk about these stories so much!
I have such a similar experience with my childhood❤
Ritual Abuse here...
Once again recommending the story - “Something Walks Past My House Whistling Every Night At 3:03”
Yes 🙌🏼 Thank you
Please!
One of my 1st pastas-loved the atmosphere it had.
Oooo this is a good recommend. Tales From The Gas Station and Accounts from a Lonely Broadcast station are both really good if you haven't heard them check them out
Just listened to this episode on Spotify at work, man this episode was my favorite by far. The mix between the story and you both made this episode fire
9:20 the intimate relationship between kid and show made more powerful by the fact that, for some kids, the parents aren’t home from work yet. The relationship is just between kid and show
Or the parents aren't in the room. Yeah it's a weird thing lol
I like that Wendigoon got to re-live some of his 1999 experience where he used to dress up in a Bear costume then would loot every family owned business in the area. Classic!
Wendigoon reminiscing the good old days when he'd unhinge his edritch horror jaws crawl across in a spider-like fashion and devour the naughty children once they notice him at the dark edge of their beds ☺️
So he was the mysterious friend and cohort to infamous war criminal and cunky enthusiast Tomar, all shortly after those events in Bosnia.
Wendigoon is the original wendigo and is over 500 years old.
This whole time I was waiting for them to talk about the "oobi" episode where it's the child's hand being stabbed with scissors and wondering "did I completely mix up my creepypastas or did creepypasta youtubers lie to me." Having Isaiah have the same moment of "wasn't there an episode with hands" gave me relief that I'm not crazy lmao.
i now need more context for this and need to know what it is . i watched oobi when i was younger and have never heard about a childs hand being stabbed omfg
@@sadisticmaxwell it didn't happen on Oobi for real. some versions of this creepypasta include a segment where Caledon Local 21 has a knockoff show called "Booby", and that segment features a kid's hand getting stabbed with scissors.
Me too! I was waiting for it and thought I crazy! I vividly remember the Oobi based episode as a kid I actually like Oobi and hearing the dark version I was unnerved and horrified especially since it was a kid who’s suffering and couldn’t imagine it how painful that is.
same! i think it was my fav part of the story because of it too. also because mr bears cellar reminded me of bear in the big blue house @Krystal40553
Saw another comment mentioning this and an alternate ending but apparently the writer went back and deleted it for the copyrighted content. Not sure how accurate that is
So cool that Wendigoon finally brought his son on camera and spent the whole episode with him. So cute to see!
“Jschlort” knows a lot about 1999
Yes indeed, sad we’ll never get a confession, that accident was so tragic 🕊️🕊️fly high Jshart
screaming
Just came from the My Way cover lmao
Something about a bite? I dunno it's all really hazy since then
Oh god, the cancer is spreading. (as a fellow JSCHLATT enjoyer, you’re all annoying)
Suggestion: "My wife has been peeking at me from around corners and behind furniture. It's gone from weird to terrifying." and "How to survive in Hell". Both of them are extremely cool and interesting. Also they both can be done in one video too.
requesting my wife has been peeking at me on every creepcast vid til it happens
just listened to the first one. was pretty good.
THIS
I just read the wife peeking at the husband one and it was so good omg.
(Spoiler kinda)
I like how it was kinda realistic at first with the wife just tryna play a prank and scare him even tho it was supposedly out of character for her it was still realistic and then it just becomes deranged and unhinged. Love it 10/10 anyone who sees this comment should read it.
Is the second one the story where satans daughters all have the same name but he has a favorite?
Hunter getting outraged over the dad is genuinely the funniest thing I've seen this year at least. The next best is probably funeral kyle, and it's very telling that they both came from the same place
Really happy to see 1999 covered. I think it’s one of my favorite creepypastas. The thing that scared me about it when I was little was how plausible it seemed (at least to me when I was younger). Usually creepypastas have a supernatural element that you can write off in your head. But this one is sort of something that makes you go “you know, I can see something like this happening.” And that’s why it terrified me when I was younger
Its pretty mid
I sit on the floor to do my makeup in the mirror under my TV every morning while my podcasts play and hearing Wendigoon be so serious when I occasionally look up and he's still snuggling the bear or wearing it on his head is sending me
No way it takes 2 hours to do morning makeup
1999 was one of the scariest Creepypasta stories for me back in the day- so happy to hear the Creep Boy’s covering it again all these years later! :D
I remember requesting this story a few stories ago, I'm so fucking pumped!
The absolute quality of life improvement I got from the notification there was a new episode is unmatched
Same here, I think I might have a CreepCast dependence. It's not a problem though. I promise.
Word
It fills me with such joy that you mentioned The Poughkeepsie Tapes. I have found my people lol
My personal suggestion for a story is "Time travel is not what you think it's like." from r/nosleep, a story that has lingered with me for a LONG time, and always fills me with an existential dread when i think of it
I second this, tied with the left right game for my fav
I completely forgot about it, but the moment I read the title, it immediately came back to me.
Those kinds of stories are easily among my favorites, the mix of relatively typical Sci-Fi stuff with Creepypasta Elements is always a phenomenal pairing.
I would love to get some spoilers about it
Isaiah doing the entire episode with a teddy bear on his head is the content we need.
And I totally forgot that Hunter can't see it, you guys need to video chat instead of just voice.
The Third Parent is a creepypasta you NEED to read. Very unsettling. Gets you thinking and theorizing. And of course it involves children just like you guys like
Ayooooo
Fr I put it up there with borassca
I found it substantially more disturbing than Borrasca.
evil for recommending this
Do not read this it’s worse than borasca
