- What can I say about Harare, Zimbabwe? Formerly Salisbury, Rhodesia respectively. There is a famous quote that goes like, "The early bird catches the worm." I have always wanted to see how Harare looks like early in the morning from an aerial point of view. So this day, I woke up early in the morning. It was a Sunday. By 5:45 am I was already parked and setting up my drone. By 6:00 am the drone was already up in the sky. The drone flew high, soared to amazing heights, doodled around and this video is a testimony of all the James drone doodling in Harare Zimbabwe.
I had heard about how beautiful Harare Zimbabwe looks like in the morning especially just after winter when the Jacaranda trees are blooming. To be honest I caught the worm! I really grabbed the worm by its horns. Harare (the capital city of Zimbabwe) is a popular city around the world especially amongst photographers, politicians, architects and nature lovers because of the Jacaranda trees, Eastgate architecture, government offices, Mukuvisi Woodlands, etc. Off course the next video is about driving under the Harare Jacaranda canopy trees. It's amazing. It's another worm grabbed by its horns :)
Funny thing is that while post-processing this video, I took more time just rewatching the clips instead of editing the video. Well, no much editing was done to be honest. Just stitching the drone clips, adding some cool music, introducing some transitions between the clips and adding some text. Here is a drone video about Harare Zimbabwe. Basically this is Harare from above. Harare central by drone especially on a Sunday morning when people are resting is just surreal.

There's always an angle that makes you view places in an exquisitely different manner. All thanks to you and your drone buddy. I never knew Harare is this beautiful 😍All I ever saw was buildings, people and roads...nothing interesting @ all. Now I get to realise how easily we can take things for granted because we actually have another picture in our heads. Maybe because that's what we have been exposed n limited to see from our angle. Wow, thanks a lot for this comment Jeannea! I am really happy to hear that, the drone angles have given you a different look at Harare. This is really why I like drones. They are not Google Earth shots and they are not ground shots, its an angle we are never used to. It took me ages to find the music that goes with the drone shots, but I am really happy with selection I found. Ndafunga kumusha!

There's something I find so unique with Zim cities like Harare and Bulawayo.
They have very expansive city centers then the rest of African cities.
I have seen that Bulawayo is the most perfectly planned city with exquisite urban land use.
The streets are very wide
With Harare it is the best well planned capital city in Africa.
The buildings look neat and spaced between one another with mixed colonial and modern architecture.
Looking at Harare from the sky treats you to a harmonious experience of the built environment.
The residentials of Harare are European like.
The city land use is epic and for me Harare is the best city in Africa.

Exquisite shots of Harare James- just shows us what a gem our country is -'warts and all'. I also enjoy flying in the morning to avoid distractions from people who will be interested in seeing what I am seeing on the remote controller and it gets dangerous when flying in the city. It really took me some time to find the music that goes with the drone shots. But I am happy with the selection. The musical lyrics is purely Zimbabwean with a mix of the Ndebele and Shona language. You may use the drone shot but you have to give credit. This is a standard UA-cam requirement. Quite often people use my drone shots and then get flagged by UA-cam copyright violations. Some of the videos actually got deleted. Check in the description of this video how to give credit.

@@JamesMuganda I've had those moments too. Until recently I would let the footage go unused if I didn't have enough. Now, I do "Mini" videos. I don't like to call them "Shorts" because I don't like the 9x16 format. I do 16x9 Minis 😊
