The beef with lupe and mickey if you view it from a different perspective altogether, royce did not intend to body either 1 of them with silence of the lambda, he just wanted to prove his point that he writes better than them. Lupe did a "diss track" not displaying the lyrical penmanship royce challenged them to. Even though lupe can write stuff like mural. Same with mickey. He had a very homophonic heavy multiple meanings disstrack ehich was not either thatpersonal. When it comes to pure writing skill to this point then royce is atop. Lupe gave him props even on the greed joint with ransom

This new generation will never make me afraid to sign a record-deal. I'm 27, so I'm right in the middle & at the cusp of being "old-school." Either way, I was born in '94; an era that lead into the earlier 2000s as well, where signing a deal wasn't an evil thing: it was your WAY OUT. I would ink a contract right now, any day of the week, any month of the year. There's some things that you can't do independently without a backing.

He wanted to be as clear as possible and be direct. We all know Lupe’s lyric game is out of this world so he doesn’t need to prove that on a diss.
We already know both rappers are dope so doing one song doesn’t prove anything. If you want to compare lyrics then compare their albums not their disses where they were both going light. Royce’s track wasn’t even better than the majority of his songs. Lupe being a better lyricist doesn’t take anything away from Royce cause he’s still dope in his own right, but honestly this shit was months ago and Royce seems like he’s grown and moved on from this. @@MrSpeakonit1 Royce and Lupe are not like brothers. People throw that around too often. Royce said before the podcast he didn’t even know Lupe. And he only agreed to do it because he raps well and he has a different perspective. My point is Royce talked about rapping better than everyone, but when Lupe rapped *AT* Royce, Royce did not rap back. Instead he started talking about his inner peace lol.

I just saw vezzo's reaction to this interview, as with life when you are emotional, you miss the logic,
vezzo like most young detroit rappers who hate on EM completely missed what royce was trying to say, royce was straight forward didnt mince words but the detroit rapper was TOO in his feelings to get it SO...........
the best thing to do is to leave them alone in their feelings & bad talk about Em, dont try to bridge anything........................when one of them eventually becomes mature to understand that they have no basis for how they feel, then they'll stop hating and start thinking of uniting detroit.
The only basis they have for hating on Em is that (1) Em is white and hip hop is black music, so y shd a white person be dominant, tell the truth that is their REAL issue.
    Every effort Em put in:
    -was hard work,
-he didnt steal anything for anybody
-signed up more black rappers than white rappers
-given over $180million to detroit city over the years, if he didnt sign up detroit rappers like u kids want, his money has gone to make sure detroit resisdents lives are better
-he put detrioit on the map, if for no other reason this here is the main and only reason you should respect the man
