Sadly grounded forever now but the Vulcan's flying displays live on in our memories (& on YT!) An abiding memory is of a Vulcan display @ RAF Finningley in the late 70s. It drifted in down the flight line on "tickover" and then climbed steeply on full power to start the display. The ground *shook* (& I think one of my fillings loosened!l with the sheer power & sound of those 4x Olympus engines flat out. A heavy bomber which handled like a heavy fighter. What a superb example of British aviation design and construction.
Without doubt my all time favourite aircraft I’ve seen it fly many times and it never fails to give me goose bumps and always brings a tear to my eye. I live in Blackpool and remember as a kid seeing the Vulcan bomber displayed at the airport just a massive shame it was turned to scrap
Get the vulcan up in the sky again back in service it got a mission to do in the east.A true british show of force in the sky.Greetings from far north nato flank
Lol no not to bad thanks Bill. what can I say other than thanks for another superb display. Such a fitting end to the Friday flying at Farnborough. Keep up the great work :-)
What an absolutely badass bomber! Britain doesn’t have a bomber force these days. It’s beyond me why this aircraft isn’t still being operated. Very sad!
Great, superb, nice one, thank you everyone involved
I’m in the crowd down by the fence with my then 6 year old son. He’s been obsessed with aviation ever since 😊
@@richardstout6364 me too was thr what a day

The most impressive thing about the Vulcan is the way it appears to do everything so slowly and yet it just exudes power and menace while doing so.
Personally I've always liked the Victor more then the Vulcan even though the Vulcan is still a cool as bomber.
Thank you for uploading this video, I was there too in the heat and very sad to see the end of this iconic aircraft. A truly lovely reminder :)
I saw the Vulcan at the Bournemouth Air show.I had a tear in my eye,Because I would never see it fly again.
Absolutely awesome!!!!! What a great display. Well flown Sir!!!

When the world ends it will sound like the vulcan did. There was simply nothing else like it before or since.

Submarines took over the nucleaire tascforce.
Sorry, should have given huge praise to the video taker!
It was so loud
Couple of million a year to keep it flying. That's nothing to the government or a couple of footballers.
