    • @NecrochildK
      @NecrochildK 2 роки тому +11

      @@luisrosario432 It really depends on the breed. I had one that got more colorful as it aged. It started off mostly pearl white with bits of rich blue, but eventually it was entirely blue. The fins vary on breed as well. The "young" one they display looks like a super delta, while the "old" one looks like just a crown tail that's relaxed and not displaying. The fins naturally look like that, young or old. Likewise, the "old" one's coloration looks very natural for any age, some are just pearl and gray. Muted colors can happen at any age of the fish.

      Either that or it’s a poorly kept betta, betta can loose color due to improper care. The entire part about bettas is pretty wrong, they are shown in a bowl, it says they are overly aggressive when in reality it depends on the individual, they live 5-6 years with proper care and all of the aging stages were just different breeds of betta, they even say beta instead of betta.

    I remember my sweet old Betta fish. He was surprisingly docile and friendly. Our old roommate left him abandoned in a TINY tank, so I grabbed him from the empty room and got him an adequately sized tank. He definitely lost his colors and his fins deteriorated a lot near the end, couldn't get him to eat either. That little guy lasted just about 5 great years.

It hides in the corners of the tank, being a community fish that has long outlived its school of 8 other glofish. It behaves rather timidly and only comes out when nobody's around the tank.

    I would like to comment on the beta fish. The actually live for about 7-8 years. The problem is that most people do not take good care of them, and pet stores don't help either. According to them, you can have the fist on 2 gallons or something like that. Additionally, because of they inbreeding that occurs in the hatcheries (it is none faults tho) most of them have weak inmune system. All this information is from a vet I knew.

      Yep, that’s true. When I was a kid, we had a lot of Bettas and other fish from pet stores and they kept getting ill and dying over and over again. I really suffered watching them die and I wondered a lot what could be the cause. I began to read books and at the time I discovered that we didn’t have them in proper fish tanks with the dimensions, temperature and PH controls that they required; to fix that we would’ve had to spend a lot of money (which we didn't have) so I had to give up with fish after the last one died. It's a very sad childhood memory, especially because I liked them a lot.

      This world is rapidly passing away and I hope that you repent and take time to change before all out disaster occurs! Belief in messiah alone is not enough to grant you salvation - Matthew 7:21-23, John 3:3, John 3:36 (ESV is the best translation for John 3:36) if you believed in Messiah you would be following His commands as best as you could. If you are not a follower of Messiah I would highly recommend becoming one. Call on the name of Jesus and pray for Him to intervene in your life - Revelation 3:20.
      Contemplate how the Roman Empire fulfilled the role of the beast from the sea in Revelation 13 over the course of 1260+ years. Revelation 17 confirms that the beast is in fact Rome. From this we can conclude that A) Jesus is the Son of God and can predict the future or make it happen, B) The world leaders/nations/governments etc have been conspiring together for the last 3000+ years going back to Babylon and before, C) History as we know it is fake. You don't really need to speculate once you start a relationship with God.
      Can't get a response from God? Fasting can help increase your perception and prayer can help initiate events. God will ignore you if your prayer does not align with His purpose (James 4:3) or if you are approaching Him when "unclean" (Isaiah 1:15, Isaiah 59:2, Micah 3:4). Stop eating food sacrificed to idols (McDonald's, Wendy's etc) stop glorifying yourself on social media or making other images of yourself (Second Commandment), stop gossiping about other people, stop watching obscene content etc. Have a blessed day!

I'm from Nigeria and I have seen alot of old people in their 100s... They stick to the old ways of preparing food using natural herbs and spices they make by themselves and also traditional medicines... My grandma is in her 90s jumped from the 4th step of our staircase to prove she's still strong... My heart left my body that moment she jumped though... To be able to live long, lifestyle is the key 🔑 and most of the good food, techs, medicines, etc we enjoy in this generation are the causes of our problems... Well, it's going to be difficult to trace of steps back... And for the people saying being a vegetarian will make you live longer, lemme burst ur bubbles 😂 nobody had meat more than my great grandma and my grandma... I remember watching a very interesting documentary about human aging not long who. It highlighted a documented genetic mutation within a small girl that kept her looking like she was essentially a toddler, even though she was maybe in her mid twenties. Apparently there are telomeres within the DNA of every cell in our bodies that shorten as we age . These telomeres instruct the cells that are in an neverending cycle of reproduction and death, to reproduce slighty less robust each time. This is why we degrade as we age. Most people have something like a (guesstimate) 99.7-99.9 cellular reproduction rate bc of these telomeres that naturally shrink over time. In this extremely rare case she had an almost 100% rate since her telomeres never shorten over time. She could theoretically live forever, barring she doesn't succumb to disease or other ailments along the way

    • @scc2236
      @scc2236 Рік тому +3

      That isn't exactly right. Telomeres are repetitive DNA sequences that serve as end "caps" on linear chromosomes. DNA polymerase can't read all the way to the 3' end during chromosome replication, so telomeres add a bit of extra sequence so the polymerase can make the complement to the upstream DNA, which could include functional genes. Telomeres aren't genes, they don't "instruct" the cells or encode any proteins. They simply evolved, in part, as a workaround for the end replication problem. They do get shorter over an organism's lifetime, and seem to be more susceptible to DNA damage than other sequences; but currently it isn't known if telomeres themselves have a causal relationship with aging.

    I’ve watched the salmon life-cycle from working on the river. In Autumn, the salmon swim in from the ocean, through Puget Sound, and right up the waterway I work on. They’re lively and jumping all over the place as they head up to the freshwater streams to spawn.
    The ospreys and the eagles follow the salmon, diving for the fresh ones along the way.
    A month later, I’d see a few dead salmon floating down and a few that were still alive. (Barely) Those ones were all pale, and rotten looking. Swimming slowly right on the surface, they seem to think they’re going back to sea. No chance. The eagles and osprey see these dying salmon and want nothing to do with them. They’re rotting alive.
    Fascinating life-cycle the salmon has.

    I have a betta fish that died a few months ago: he got injured one night, including on the gills on one side, and then parasites attacked that gill and made sure he couldn't recover. I was there when he died - he used his last remaining ounce of strength to scoot over to the corner of the tank closest to me before he lay down to breathe his last :(
    My second betta fish is certainly starting to move slower and eat less (and doesn't make much effort to eat - I have to pretty well get the food to drop right on top of his mouth...), he's well over 2.5 years old, maybe closer to 3, but he still has very nice coloration. He can still occasionally zip around a bit for the fun of it, but not very often any more. Mostly he huddles up in the corner, or inside his cave, and won't zip along the length of the tank but maybe once a day, at most. And he'll only respond favorably to me in the morning (cause it's feeding time!), after that he mostly gets annoyed if I hang around too long at any given time. But then he always a grumpy fish.

      @@BejorkDibut I'm pretty sure Mr Anderson doesn't understand the influence of time on people because no amount of discipline will help you cope with the change of time. If only you retain your youth and health, you will feel like you're being teleported into the future(10 years) every single day because your brain cannot hold all your information.
      You will start to remember things that happen a long time ago, experience stuff that happened before(like deja vu) and things that will in the future because of your immense wisdom/life experience. Without any other person to share this emotion or experience, you might go mad, feel indifferent, start to care less about your life to eventually start freaking out as your brain starts functioning in ways it wasn't designed/meant to work this way.
      Imagine reading a history encyclopedia without dates, prologue or index and everyday that encyclopedia keeps adding 100 years worth of history. The pages are not in order so you might be reading stuff that happened 500 years ago or 1000 years into the future.
      Then, imagine your future life is gonna be based on how well you do on a daily pop quiz about "said" encyclopedia. And that's why some people believe dementia was produced by that person's brain to protect them, the same way people feel pain or limit their own strength to protect themselves.

    Anyone that's been near the coast has seen birds eating Sea fish, really, Sea fish, don't you mean Seabirds eating fish, because most people when you're mentioning the word coast Birds and fish in the same sentence, I'd guarantee most people automatically begin to think you're talking about fish within our seas or oceans. So usually when anyone is talking about fish it's usually about fish from saltwater unless people specifically say freshwater fish making the distinction between the two depending on the context of the conversation.
    If it's about the, your usually well written and again usually comedic scripts and style of narration, then OK.
