Thanks watop
I'm first to reply
who. are you??
Thanks, educational and funny everyday you upload videos teaching and allowing me to learn in a more fun way than reading thank you so much 😁
Yes
The hippos don’t actually eat dead wildebeests. We used to think they were because hippos would grab the dead ones in their mouth, but they actually just move them to shore for the vultures. The rotting carcasses aren’t good for the water and the hippos habitat, so they actually help the vultures out.
Very cool
Very cool
Eta kryta
so the ones that get carried down the river actually drown for do some of them possibly make it ?😓
and do the alligators actually pose a threat ore are they just startled and attack out of deference?????
Thanks for teaching me more than school did, and making it interesting! Never retire plz
*Continues till he's dead*
😭😭😭😭
If you know basic math then obviously school has taught you more than any video on UA-cam unless you don't.
UA-cam is a great place to learn you can learn anything from a teacher that shows you hands on make sure you find someone that has proof and results and don't listen to everything on the internet there is manipulation everywhere
@@PumpkinEater-gh6ok its a joke about how useless most stuff you learn from school is also r/wooosh
The Yoru ult at 1:56 was a big surprise haha. I love Valorant!
Yeah, that was unexpected, but nice.
Yeah that was unexpected but cool
Lmao I think that mask will be on steves face 🤣
SAME I LITERALLY WAS SHOCKED
It was so funny!🤣🤣🤣
That was the smoothest ad i have ever seen in a vid. Great job as always
Agreed, it took me a couple seconds to notice it was an ad
9:20 Actually while you were on the right track, you gave the wrong reasons. A decreasing population, not an increasing one, leads to genetic issues. Diseases would increase though, you got that right. Also, all the predators, including the crocs (who are primarily predators over scavengers) would thrive. The biggest negative reason by far would be that the beasts would consistently overgraze the grasses, of which that alone would lead to an ecosystem catastrophe.
Damn. Wildebeests are that efficient scary. If these animals ever evolve intelligence humans will have competition.
@@lawrencemorris2261 Well when you really think about it, they all are in a way. Simply, a larger population means an increase in what is required to feed all those mouths
I think watop meant not only the fittest would survive the crossing, so it would promote a weaker gene pool, but you were thinking of inbreeding issues.
@@6MyUsername9 Oh, right. There’s that too. I actually didn’t think about that one. Good going.
No an increasing population leads to diseases because there animals compacted eating plants and if one of the type ofplant's contained a pathogen because of the population there is more chance of one eating and spreading it to the rest
The editing this episode was top notch, love your content
It was 90% Minecraft text edits

Top "notch" is it proposital?

I love how he give minecraft examples! nice content steve
Steve - Minecraft 😂
those names are too related, especially in the show and the game.
I wanted to write same thing :D
Thats hilarious 😂
@@entity_4154 EVERYBODY IT'S A CULTIST!
I love how when he was listing the animals in the documentary, he said "zebras with stripes" while an image of a giraffe showed up.
An excellent video. I found the minecraft bits to be very amusing, but also a really good way of organizing the information! (and adding a touch of humour to a very serious topic)
So the "oof" came from Minecraft ?
No it came from Roblox in 2006 but that oof came from Minecraft in 2009-2010
Very True
If you liked that bit you should check out a channel called Tierzoo
He makes videos in a similar format and focuses on turning them into a educational “gaming” style format
It’s very entertaining
Stfu the minecraft bits were the best
I’m currently in the Masai Mara, the river smells even without the migration due to the hippo poop and their are bridges but they are usually underwater or simply too small when the wilder beast come through
hippos should be eradicated from the surface of the earth with zero redeeming qualities
Im from Tanzania 🇹🇿 i was pretty surprised to read the title and see mara river its well known for its gruesome and vicious crocodiles which inhabitants there and also during the migration the wildlife crossing there it’s more like survival for the fittest, its amazing how watop explains it explicitly good job 👏 steve!
Would building a bridge for the animals cause an imbalance?
@@dadoc8469 as they mention in the video I think It would which it is kinda insane if you think about it , what if they evolve and became smarter ,what would happen to the animal ecosystem?
Habari Jirani I'm from Kenya
The stripes on zebras confuse flies and make it quite difficult for flies to land on them. Its one of the many reasons they have them.
And if you've ever witnessed the nightmare fuel that is fly-attack (like on a rabbit), then it's also something that everyone should grateful for...
Hey Steve, thank you for creating theses videos, for people like me to enjoy, for a long day of work, I appreciate you and keep up the amazing work that you do. Again thank you 🌸🌿
the way you mixed minecraft with it, it's just an amazing masterpiece.
I like how he just decided let’s do a minecraft edit
I agree
Have you guys never heard of tier zoo?
@@rangerrick5660 I have
When you mentioned the bridge, my first thought was, "the road to hell is paved with good intentions." Thanks for explaining why the bridge is a bad idea.
Thanks Steve ... I had a same question in my mind too. Why not humans build a bridge to save them. But yes. Thanks! You answered my query .. very amazing and informative video👍
Is a cycle. If you build bridge other animal will go hungry and die and now you have over populated. Everybody benefit from it
Bc we are humans, there is a variety of problems. I will name a few, where will we get the money? Who will pay for it? If the government does how do politicians justify it? How will they get the equipment there? Who wants to work in these harsh conditions where they might die? There is a variety of problems which is why no one made a bridge.
We waste money saving a lot of things that isn't our problem.
This particular problem is the circle of life and natural population control, not to mention food for scavengers and such.
Its pointless to do that when it's not our problem you know.
Cuz we humans killing animals until they go extinct
Today's video is just 👍.My country kenya,❤️
Your videos are amazing. Always worth the time
Oh im glad you got a sponser from Magellantv WATOP!
I just found and have been watching this channel for days. Love the content and can’t get enough! ☺️
Another amazing video made by the amazing person WATOP.Loved it!
What if the river crossing is one of their methods to get the best survival genes for the wildebeest?Like the strongest/fastest to avoid predators/river current. Those who survive get to pass down their genes.
9:15 He mentioned natural selection.
Probably not because there's alot of mindless gambling that could eliminate strong genetic stock as much as the weak
Yes so they can die at next year's crossing
1:44 wow dude props you camouflaged the ad so well that at first I didn't even notice it was an ad.
In Canada, we have wildlife over passes throughout our national parks in the Rockies. Traffic FLY’S by in those areas, especially truckers. I’m glad to see that this is happening in other parts of the world, too.
Did I just saw WATOP uses Yoru's ultimate as a transition??
yeh
I love the new content with tons of clips. Your content is extremely informative.
What was going on with the zebra with its stomach seemingly open? Because it looks like that was painful and I want to know what happened to it
Right?
Clickbait

You did a much MUCH BETTER job of incorporating that Magellan ad into the video than the last ad you did‼️‼️ Your video content is ALWAYS TOP FKN NOTCH‼️TYVM for that 😃

My god , the editing in this video is insane . How did you do that in this amount of time
I watch a lot of your videos, but this one is the most creative for my pov. I love how you use games on that one.
These guys are great at sponsors, I didn't even realize it was a sponsor until they mentioned the link
I'm so proud to be Kenyan born,,I've actually watched the Migration thrice. It's the most magical thing on earth,❤️🇰🇪
No, the most magical thing on earth is watching your kids being born...
Ramon has a point. Welcoming your firstborn into the world is indescribably precious.
I bet the migration is also an amazing experience.
Period of a shithole 🤣😂
must be hell for farmers over there getting their crops ruined by migratory prey
This video was interesting, as always! :)
I didn’t even know you were doing the ad until it was too late and now there’s no excuse to not go check out Magellan AND give you a sub- nicely done! 👏🏾😂

All time fan....Woow!!; WATOP today mention my home Kenya 🇰🇪🇰🇪 in fact even know i can see the magical Mara in the horizon..come to Kenya for live experience
Always a good day when a new video of yours comes out
Wouldnt the random crossing pattern be attributed to the river changing or perhaps that it has never been safe to do it ever, thus there is no specific reason to choose the same place/area everytime?
M mm mm mmmmmmmmmmk
I'm a bit confused about the thumbnail being off a zebra with its belly split open on dry grass vs the content of the wildebeest that cross this river. And it's not survival of the fittest, it's survival of the luckiest. Anyone could get trampled, even if they are strong. And anyone can get attacked by a crocodile, if they were in the wrong place, at the right time. It still is a survival struggle, regardless of how you look at it. But still, my main point, thumbnail want included. I thought there would be something about how zebras survive or what they can do to survive. Because that looked like a pregnant zebra and her belly ruptured but still has her placenta intake.
Ive been wondering the same thing. As well done as the videos seem to be edited, i dont appreciate the click bait.
I clicked to see the weird zebra placenta, figured she got hurt during migration.. nope, clickybaited. Double damn😆
Love your channel ❤️
Man, that was a smart ad transition. I barely knew it was an ad until it was mentioned "the link is in the description".
Whoever edited this is goated 💀

love your content my guy
This was a really good episode 👍🏽✨
6:44 So the new level of self-censorship now means to blur "unpleasant" scenes? And how exactly does that serves to illustrate the narrative point?
Those animals passed away.
If you consider this the saddest migration in history you’re definitely wrong just ask the Native Americans and you’ll get to hear all about the trail of tears the true saddest migration in history
Gallade Gamer
-The Trail of Tears was not a migration! IT WAS A FORCED MARCH!
I love these videos and makes it all the better with the Audible Chocolate voice narrating theme. Has become so iconic to me now, just like the guy that narrates the Planet Earth shows.
