Warlayer Terrain is the first sci-fi 3D printable terrain that I have purchased and printed. I was so pleased that I bought all of their sets of files over time. I really enjoy their theme and designs.
@@gaminggeek241 I'm going with a weathered industrial yellow with lots of rusted metal and chipped paint. www.flickr.com/photos/eldave/41241575652/ www.flickr.com/photos/eldave/48595810732/
Man!! I was watching your video and thinking " why do I know this guy? Where's he from?" I then saw your table lmao I built that gaming table from your plans and video years ago! So awesome to see you in another hobby I'm getting into. You got a new sub
Warlayer has been featured in my Terrain Guides for Necromunda/Kill Team. His stuff has been in all 3. :-) Plus, the modeler, Andrew, is a genuinely good guy. makerfun3d.com/terrain-guide-necromunda
nerdy greetings friend! nice video! I am looking for a site or something similar that is designed for the SLA printer. Can you recommend something? i want to play kill team with it and it should look something like the one in your video, or like the sector mechanicus from games workshop. Thank you for the answer! cheers!
You can actually print anything on your SLA printer as long as you have the correct supports. I would recommend the files from Dragon's Rest as it is designed to work specifically with Kill Team.
Thank you for posting about this set. I actually purchased it and am printing a few pieces out. I have a question about your design. How did you create the lower platform under the crane? it appears to be composed of 3x5 squares but I only see a 3x3 in the set. If they are multiple parts, how did you join them side by side?
That piece is a 3x3 and a 3x2 merged together in PrusaSlicer. If you can't merge pieces in your slicer, check out my video tutorial on using MS 3D Builder: ua-cam.com/video/h2Ept7pH2bY/v-deo.html Hope that helps!
did any of the terrain require supports? I bought everything except for the train and crane and am wondering before I start printing, some of the shipping containers look like they might need some. Thanks for your videos
Wow, there are a lot of different variables -- which slicer you use, speed settings, material, infill, etc. But using the stock speed settings on PrusaSlicer, the Pipe A with open doors on opposite sides took me 17.5 hours to print at .2mm height. So it's not a fast process. I know others who speed up their prints but I don't want to mess with my settings.

The Warlayer terrain is really great! I've got tons of it printed and, like you said, it's versatile and useful for so many games.
Do you have any photos! I'd love to see how others have painted theirs.

Awesome, thanks for the sub! And glad you are using your table for some wargaming!
Thanks for the review.
Wew that stuff is perfect for necromunda
Yeah, absolutely. I like the height variation you can get from the set.

Nope, everything printed without supports, including the shipping containers. These are really well made STL files.
Hi great colorscheme! But the video reads like the basecoat is dark brown
Yeah, that is because of my lighting that has a warm tint to it. But it is pure black in real life.
@@gaminggeek241 thanks!
How long does it take to print the average piece of terrain?
