You are actually so fun to watch (not boring 🙄) 😊 and so much information to learn! I’m just so surprised because my anthurium’s flower has been a year last December. The flower’s color is changing, it goes green, then back to light red then red! I am soo happy about it! But have 2 more that havent flower, so will do your suggestions! Thanks and more power!

Just bought my first anthurium....got it off a clearance rack for 5 bucks, the flowering part was dead but the greenery was vibrant. Crossing fingers I can do this some justice. Wish me luck!

Picked up one of these beauties today at Home Depot. 4in for $7. Rarely see these out here in So Cal or maybe haven't noticed them before, but I figured the hummingbirds would like it so I got one. Love it! After watching this video I just may keep it indoors since the care is similar to orchid care which I am familiar with. Great tips on how to create humidity with diffuser or glass of water nearby. Thank you taking time to create this video especially from your beautiful patio!

    Hi Nell,
thanks for your expertise and videos. Your anthurium is absolutely beautiful!
Your anthurium mix sounds interesting. I never heard of that type of mix, but I can imagine that this mix works just fine.
Mine is sitting in orchid mix. I don't know if you ever heard of Seramis orchid mix, which is pine bark and coarse clay pebbles. And my anthurium receives pretty much the same care as my Phals in terms of watering, feeding and exposure.
My anthurium is in full bloom right now, and I love my baby.
Nell, I wish you a gorgeous summer and tons of fun with your plants.
I look forward to seeing more of your vids and send you my best wishes from Berlin.
    Marc

Marc - Greetings to you in beautiful Berlin from the Arizona desert. I'll be repotting my Anthurium next spring. I love my anthurium & it still has 5 flowers on it. There are numerous mixes you can use for anthuriums. I have heard of seramis orchid mix but have never used it. Sounds like it works for your anthurium. Summer is sunny & very hot here so I get up very early to get my garden chores done. We're waiting for our monsoon rains. Have a wonderful summer & keep you eyes open for more vids! Cheers, Nell

On afternoon before leaving I put my yukka, saber tooth ficus, and my anthurium on my balcony to soak up rays and left for the day :'( burn 80% of my leafs I was so sad, she is regorwing slowly but looking forward to spring for the more grow, she hasn't been producing the red leafs at all, just one in late summer but it died soon after. I really want my red leafs back and won't give up on her, also my peace lilly which I know are closely related don't produce white leafs, I have them pretty near to the windows for filtered light.

I’m new to plants and purchased an anthurium. I read that it likes humidity so I started spraying the leaves with water, well I didn’t know that I was doing more harm than good and now most of the leaves are brown and have holes. From your video and some articles I’ve read, I suspect it’s fungus. So now I’m not sure what to do. I moved it inside the bathroom. I plan on getting a liquid fertilizer but I’m worried it may have gone too far and can’t rescue it. I water it whenever the top soil feels dryish so every few days. Do I need to repot? Help!?
