The ai in spt is literally so cool I was on interchange and saw a flashlight waving around so I shmoved on over to engage him and when I turned the corner he was on top of one of the shelves and sprayed me down I wasn’t even mad just shocked an ai could even think of jumping up there to get an advantage like that
It's not really "thinking", but yes it's cool

yeah, the little raids on this pve, I found scavs Never magically pop out of thin air behind a container when you arent looking in their spawn point like the OG game.
Ive never encountered such bad ai design in any other game...
though maybe its due to processing power/ but EFT is not efficiently optimised anyway
That last raid on ground zero was phenomenal. Scavboss patrolling the map, all of his guys communicating and working together, it all just felt so real and immersive. I need to check out SPT some day, looks awesome!
Been playing it a year, merged my SPT profile into project FIKA and just host offline modded tarkov for my dad and brother. Best gaming experiences we’ve had together. Have literally never played a single live raid, but all three of us own the base game purely due to SPT.
Its mind blowing how much better SPT is than the base game.
SPT is cool, but please let's get something clear here:
1. BSG literally made the game, and without it, modders wouldn't have the foundation to make their tweaks and changes, thus we would not have SPT.
2. The AI changes that the submods SAIN, Donuts, etc. add are only possible with yourself or using the Finka co-op mod with a limited group of friends...if these mods were put into the base multiplayer, the lag would be unreal as the AI logic isn't fully optimized and it takes too much server processing power. So, BSG couldn't use this AI logic even if they wanted to.
3. Apart from the AI mods, most of the other mods like the Realism mod are just small tweaks of code...yes, they're a bunch of small tweaks, but ultimately it's not the same level of effort involved to actually make a game. Trying to say that modders somehow are better than the game developers is a severe injustice and insult to people that make games. If you want to blame the DIRECTION Tarkov is going, blame Nikita and not the devs...the devs have to listen to him.

@@yellowsaurus4895 Yet, they made the actual game. Modders couldn't make the game, they don't have the skill nor resources. What I'm saying is that it's really unnecessary and ignorant to dump on the devs of BSG and act like modders are supreme beings. Without BSG there would be no game to mod

@@scrimmybingus8972 Guess I shouldn't have expected an actual educated reply from you...I never said "vanilla" is a superior experience, but that there needs to be at least ACKNOWLEDGEMENT that BSG literally created the game, and without them then modders would have NOTHING to mod with.

The AI in spt EARNS its kills. I’ve seen some crazy shit via freecam after dying in FIKA raids: watching the AI sneak up and flank my dad and bro, Chad jumps, bush ratting, etc. They push when you are busy or distracted and they hear it, use grenades decently, use and are affected by blinding flashlights, etc. Add character knockdown after big leg hits from Realism mod and you get some awesome and memorable fights and deaths.
It's crazy that you can also use the AI logic to your advantage like opening a container mid-shootout to bait a push

rant add: they have which is interesting ha- mounting guns, recoil, armour (the new old one), scav looting, scavs running even, drug addiction/ OD lol
hope they do that with the health system as well- maybe tweak it for a more generic experience
They already copied the recoil system and locational armor.

There are some really great quality of life fixes and updates in this that really should be added to the base game. The stances, the dismemberment, the reshade implimentation (or at least jus a better post fx menu that also enables better AO, im a sucker for that) and most of all: the goddamn spawns and bot changes. I saw a video of someone playing the offline Unheard edition and all pmcs and bots were just rotating in the middle of bushes... disgraceful. Not to mention the guy playing it had a ping of 172 on offline mode for whatever reason xD What
SPT is a great game, and it's helping me learn tarkov without so much pressure. I've played until my character was broke and felt hopeless. SPT let's me learn and wipe when I need. I would love to watch a playthrough from wipe to chad. idk how to survive, good builds at low levels, I just die and waste gear.
More spt lets gooo!
Thought about traveler on the next run? Makes it much more immersive but super hard
I'm no expert, but I do scav runs every 2 raids to cash in some loot so my money doesn't finish pretty quick.

I do like this as well. It's a totally different game and if you can immerse yourself and enjoy it, why not. I played the hardcore cernarus nights or something server in DayZ and I just enjoyed the hardcore brutal aspect of it. Same with Tarkov when I started, after I started destroying everything there was no more hardcore aspect to the game.
Hey Klean, whats your FOV in SPT?
I just installed SPT and a bunch of mods including FOV fix and I cannout quite grasp the sweet point of it. Playing with my usual Tarkov FOV makes the game too zoomed. Should I increase it even more?

For walking (slowly) around while healing/surgery actions, I believe there's a mod for that, or there's a setting inside of the SPT Realism mod cfg that allows you to do that. Don't quote me on it, but something to check into.

in the user/mods/realism folder in your SPT run the realism .exe thingy and disable medical changes

Ok thanks! I will try that one. I’ve heard mixed things about it but I guess that you can turn off parts of it to more cater your own experience.
Love realism mod, had to disable the healing price and trader sell price changes though, it makes it impossible to make any kind of decent money i feel theres a fine line between difficulty and the ability to progress

Normal Realism mod you don't have the sane problem with meds, is this some other mod? Or is it just a restriction you're putting on yourself? Besides, running out of money is literally what doing a scav raid is for

some reason my papor didnt have the healing item. i had to turn off the medical overhaul cause basically no healing, doc post-raid healing costing 35k and hadnt unlocked heavy bleed(chest) or surgery kits. im lvl 18 n still dont have them.

I can't help but feel that this is how EFT should have been focussed by BSG from the start. PvE with a fully fleshed out story. Co-op would be even better. If they wanted to, PvP servers could have been a DLC.

SPT is great. Only downside is that bots completely ignoring armor. I constantly getting onetapped with heavy armor (Samuai, Gen4 Full) by stupid ammo like Geksa that could not go trough class 3 Aramid not mentioning class 5 plates. :) Hopefully they will update it to the new armor mechanics.
am confused how this is permadeath if youre just choosing to reset the account when you want not on death seems more like a tweaked hardcore?
I copied all of Kleans settings and yet I still think I'm just constantly running into OP AI that arent as realistic and cool as the ones in these videos.
What mods? I use SAIN (with the dependencies that are required, BigBrain and Waypoints) + Donuts (with the dependencies, I forgot the names but the mod says what it requires alongside it) + Realism mod and everything works fine. You don't need to touch any setting, it just works. Maybe you didn't actually extract properly to the right file locations and thus one or more of the mods aren't actually running
Are you playing in a similar way as well?
use "That's Lit" mod and turn down AI difficulty using the F6 menu in game to go below default difficulty.
Also F12 menu change your raids for your PMC to "starting PMCs only (Random)"
and then tweak the difficulty from their if it's to easy.
