#1 tip in JToH: DON’T COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS!! He mentioned this in the vid but as someone who did this, I really want to tell u all. If you compare yourself to others, there are 3 main effects that will happen: #1: Demotivation - It will ultimately lead you to quitting as you feel like you aren’t good enough. #2: Sadness - You’ll be sad that you can’t be as good as others and you’ll come to the conclusion you will never be as good as others. #3: Anger - You’ll get angry you can’t do the tower and will lose your sanity. One major tip I have: Please do not do this. I recommend you set small goals and work on consistently achieving those goals until you feel you have the skill to slay your big accomplishment. This is what I did for my first sc and what I’m doing when grinding ToFN. ToFN is going to be my hardest by 2 entire difficulties so I need to set small goals and consistently have a positive mindset so I don’t burn out and lose focus. If I already try to push for the big goal of the winpad, I’ll feel like a failure and won’t achieve my goal. It’s like trying to construct a building without the foundation. You need the foundational skills to then complete the ultimate goal you have. If you compare yourself to other people’s rate of improvement you are instead focussing on an even bigger goal, which is overtaking that person. Just try and keep a positive mindset and focus on the positives while grinding so you get the dopamine hit that you are making progress instead of trying to surpass your pb or jump straight to the winpad.
@jacks789 some of us it'll affect us differently i guess, but it all depends, for me yeah its demotivating, i stick to what i wanna do instead, and continue improving from there
Im not boo-ing you or smth but if u alredy have r3 try SoSIS (PA) i did that as my 15th tower its fun and you dont rly need to practice it (maybe cuz took me 42mins)
All of these are GREAT tips that aren’t commonly discussed in other videos, good work! A really important tip is to remember that progress isn’t linear, and you should expect slower progress when first attempting a harder tower, try not to expect success and jump difficulties immediately. Though you don’t have to, I personally do 3-5 of a difficulty before moving on (one of which being “mid” or higher in that difficulty).
since I reached intense, I've decided to go for one of each sub-difficulty (bottom, bottom-low, low and so on). Sometimes this makes me beat towers that feel easy and unrewarding as new hardests, like jumping from SoBA (4 hour grind) to ToEA (around 40 minute fluke) or CoLS (17 hour grind) to ToCMC (1 hour) to ToSW (40 minutes). CoLS specifically I worked extremely hard on, and felt dissapointed that I had to give it up as my hardest just to beat some towers I liked.
@FloodNinja110-ip1hz good but also very slow, you might not want to do each subdivision for rems or sc's just because how much harder and longer the grinds are and the progress may be extremely slowq
1. Really good vocabulary you used 2. Comparing myself to others completely DESTROYED me when doing tiered obbies. I started grinding Comatose (tier 16) and 4 of my friends ended up picking it up and beating it before I could even get good progress. I’m hoping I don’t compare myself when doing towers lol
I originally started out doing ToDC as my first SC, but after 1500 minutes of playing and only reaching 10 once, I gave up on that, and started ToHR instead, I eventually got consistent at it, and managed to beat it within 11 hours (jumped from low rem to high insane lol)
congrats on beating your first insane and m,aking such a big jump, but be prepared for grinds much more than double the length of 1500 minutes, i was grinding toer and my pb was only floor 8x2, and i had already had 6000 minutes, so dont be suprised if you get grinds much longer than 1.5k minutes
This is a really helpful guide right there, especially for people who need it, even me lol. There are some things I’d like to talk about from experience. Motivation is a crucial step for progressing in the game. Determination is key. No matter what happens, don’t take failed attempts too hard. It’s okay, because the most important thing to keep in mind is that there’s always an opportunity to get back to where you were, even if it seems hopeless. At the same time, keep those flaws in mind for your advantage, because they’ll really help improve strategies in the long run. Also, take steps back whenever you need to, until you’re ready to take the next step. Forcing yourself to do better would only cause burnout to happen a lot sooner. Take your time and try not to rush. Personally, I would watch videos or listen to music that I enjoy while or before playing the game to distract me from my troubles, especially from coping on an unfair fail or other fails that really suck. As someone who’s been on a very long hiatus as well, it took me a few weeks to get back to the skill level that I used to have. No matter how long I stayed away from the game, the muscle memory is still there, but that still means I have to get it back completely, starting from the bottom difficulty to the top. Ever since I felt extreme burnout from nonstop grinding, breaks weren’t enough for me anymore. So, one hiatus and a decent mindset for the game during that time period is enough for me to get back into the swing. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Now moving on to practicing towers. I agree with what’s been said at 8:15. By thinking outside the box, it’s a good idea to practice towers that are more difficult than the tower that you’re grinding, but not towers that are too far ahead in difficulty, obviously. Even if you’re not grinding the tower that you’re practicing that’s too difficult for you, learn as much as you can from it. As someone who’s still on catastrophic territory, sometimes I’d like to practice horrific towers like ToVH or ToEV that are out of my skill range. It doesn’t mean my grind is official, because I don’t mind losing practice progress at all, as long as it really helps my skill level improve for later. Anyways, that’s enough yapping from me. I hope this helps for anyone who needs it.
Currently beating ToCR, since im talented at the game it is my 2nd SC and it is going pretty good, all of the advices you listed here are actually helpful. I hope other players will have easier time learning the basics and understanding what you should and shouldnt do. (Edit: if you see this and you've started playing jtoh with worse/harder experience please dont compare yourself to others, that doesnt help)
@@feeshx what a noob, im currently grinding CoV as my 1st tower, its technically my 2nd as i beat Tosf when i was 0.0003 years old but i didn't have an account at the time
Seriously, that guide, was surely the best one I've found. It helps people from all difficulty skill ranges (like someone who has beaten a Hard Tower, or someone that has beaten a Extreme Tower), and that makes the guide super awesome. I, for example, have beaten some Terrifyings already, and that guide, will help me a lot. Thank you so much.
I knew some of these tips already, but its good to another person to remind me of them, it makes me want to follow them, and i learned a few too. Nice video!
Having fun is one of the most important things because it increases your engagement (better focus and faster learning) and massively reduces the likelihood of burnout, and of course also because it's fun, which is the point of the game! Another tip is that going from "I'm gonna grind up to X tower" to "I'll just play a few towers I haven't beaten" makes a big difference, because you're switching from a goal (which can become frustrating easily) to just kind of living in the moment. That way you might even discover a theoretically much harder tower that just happens to suit your specific skill set, which is very satisfying.
I recently finished ToHH jump from ToTL and I noticed that ToTL took me 2 months because I was depressed quickly, while I finished ToHH in only 1 week ,with a good morale, I intend to go further in JTOH, listen to this message: NEVER GIVE UP AND GOOD LUCK FOR A NEW HARDEST!
Hahaha, but seriously, he means all-jumping harder towers, if youre level is difficult, try all-jumping challenging or intense towers, you dont need to beat them just do the jumps to get better
6:32 I feel like if failing a tower once you’ve made significant progress can lead to some form of short term traumatic experience. Personally, I have found that taking a break for a week, at least from that tower, will build up your courage.
thanks for the guide! I recently beat CoLS after nearly 17 hours of grinding. I made the mistake of not practicing until I failed floor 15, which likely contributed to my time. I rushed a lot, and loopfailed basically any netted section (particularly b2, that room on f11, dropper 2, and basically all of f13 pre-outside). After fluking ToCMC and beating ToSW on my 2nd try, I decided to go for ToSaPS as my next grind. I'm going to start using the practice place, and hopefully get consistent. I only got to floor 2 on my first run, which stayed true on my 2nd, (I like doing 2 runs instead of 1 before beginning practice because I often do much better on the 2nd). Also ToSW is low intense.
I have progress on my accounts dating back to March of 2020, and yet I am still Extreme skill level. That tip about not comparing yourself to others is important, because there are some people that beat the game in a year, and people like me who have been going for nearly 5 years. Remember, things take time, maybe more time than you'd like. If I always compared myself I'd lose my sanity and be the most demotivated JToH player ever lol.
dang man thanks for this ive played since december 2019 and my hardest is a high rem ( YES I KNOW HUGE DISSAPOINTMENT ) but i find it so hard not to compare myself to others
Best tips from most to least significant: 1.) Play on atleast 60+ FPS 2.) Play on Keyboard and Mouse 3.) Overpractice (doing 2nd half legit on towers/obbies you struggle at) 4.) Don't rush on punishing sections 5.) Don't overplay real runs without and new PB (2 hours of no new PB) Always overpractice before doing real runs on towers/obbies you know takes more than a week to beat for you before doing a real run. 6.) Take breaks if you're tired or like super nervous after starting over from a very far stretch of a tower/obby.
7:03 in 2023 I got to the last floor of ToES 5 times but fell everything on all of those 5 tries, after that I lost motivation and quitted the tower sadly
I think one tip I can give is that you should endure the learning process of a tower. Often times I feel overwhelmed by the tower's complexity and give up learning. However once youve got a basic understanding of every jump youll really go with the flow and youll feel more motivated. This is important in towers that are harder than your hardests as we may get completely destroyed by the jumps if a tower. Once we do get past the learninf process, most jumps become extremely consistent despite how hard they are when we first encountered them.
so far, ive only beaten toib and toca, and ive gotten to f9 on tohr. After tohr, i dont really know which insane to grind for, but i know im definitely not ready for extreme.
For the breaks part i ABSOLUTELY reccomend taking them if ur stuck on it, i have beaten 3 sc's soo far and on 2 of them i actually took a break before coming back and beating them, taking breaks can refresh your mindset and other positive stuff i cannot remember cause its 4am while i am typing this, at max i reccomend taking 1-2 week breaks, play other towers of the same difficulty or maybe even harder ones, not to see if u can beat them but to see how far you can get on them, thats it basically
Somehow, my brother reached Ring 8 and Zone 4. He also went to Zone 5, but he got kicked out of Zone 5 because the game misread his steeple completions as tower completions or something.
If youre struggling with a tower youre grinding, and youre starting to get tired of playing it, try to grind a tower of a slightly lower difficulty before returning. I did this with ToTDA and ToFM, and I beat those towers quickly after grinding another tower at a slightly lower skill level.
i remember i found a strat(wrap strat that could do extreme jumps) and my skill went from low jntense to like mid rem, i found out that i could go higher, i watched obby ytbers snd copied their strats and i got to like low insane, keep in mind all of this happened in under a month
2:18 what, also imo the tip of taking away noclip when practicing is annoying but not annoying cause of the fact it looks like a normal tower but like its annoying cause everytime i fall i have to open inventory click it go up wait like 5 seconds and then click it again to unequip it
Hey. I am currently grinding ToFaCT and I amb stuck at the first 2 floors. I am going slow but I just can't pass them, and in practise I just do them failesd. Do you know what I can do?
If you cant even practice properly then you should break the floors down into multiple sections. Then one by one, complete every section multiple times in a row. After that you should be able to start practicing every floor as a whole without struggling too much. Also of you cant even do a jump then try to find different strategies to make them work. Test your strategies multiple times to be sure that it is alright. If you are still stuck at floor 2 then you might need a skill boost. You might need to temporarily change the tower you are grinding and practice that tower seriously. Once you think you've made enough progress on that new tower, go back to ToFsCT and see how it helps. Sometimes, playing other towers can patch up the weaknesses that ToFaCT can't
Great guide! I have a question regarding mindblocks though. I'm a player with ToES (7.4) as my hardest going for TODT (8.00). I recently got to floor 10a and failed the first jump. Ever since, I've been loopfailing 1-5 and haven't managed to get a good run past 5. I've tried slowing down and practicing each floor, but I keep failing seemingly easy things. Do you have any tips?
I'm gonna be honest, it took me 3 years of playing this game to actually apply tip #4 (don't blame the game), and tip #7 (get uncomfortable). I used to only beat easier towers because I was terrified of doing big jumps, until a friend said I should try some harder towers, I did, and man was I surprised seeing my true potential. Also, I used to blame the game like half the time I fell, even if I knew it was more than likely my fault, which made me take fails personally. I came extremely close to quitting this game, but I decided to actually take responsibility for my fails. Now this game has become much more enjoyable, and I no longer feel like quitting. TL;DR If there's anything you take away from my message, don't be afraid of making big jumps, and PLEASE recognise your fails!!!
Have any tips for people coming from Tiered obbies that wish to be good at towers too? I am a tier 15 obbyist (soon tier 16) but have as hardest only a remorseless (CoSR), it is probably because I'm not able to deal with the very long gameplay, anyway as it's considered tier 15 I'm aiming ti ToCR, have any tip to improve for long gameplays? (I reached floor 60 legit in Great Citadel of Ring One so I don't understand why I still struggle in lenght)
you've already proved to yourself that you CAN make it to the last jump of ToDT, which basically means you'll beat it. there's no point switching after getting so far
Hey, expertz. Im a dedicated fan of yours, and I really need your opinion on this. I've been suffering in ToTS for the past half year. 2500+ minutes, and 1000+ attempts. I don't know what to do.. My friends told me to try other towers, but something keeps me hooked to ToTS like a magnet. Could you reply and help? Thank you very much!
try switching to tower of rhythm heaven. i did it as my first remorseless and it was consistent after practicing the second half. it felt around low intense
What floor do u really struggle with? What's ur current hardest? The only thing I can recommend right now is to just look at guides and make strategies for the hard jumps
@@syedajinnatsultana6116 i struggle with floor 6's last jump. The one from the wrap-looking thing to the 1 stud and headhitter. My current hardest is ToTD. It was also baseline rem, but the jtoh devs magically decided to STEAL MY REM FROM ME and now its peak intense 😭🙏
Honestly, I always wanted to get good at JToH and obbies in general, but I never could. Back when I used to play the game in 2021, I never pushed myself to do any tower out of my comfort zone, thus, I didn't improve, and so I never got past the intense difficulty. Then I came back to the game way later in 2023, I was a lot better but I still couldn't get good, because even though I knew I had to push myself to get better, I just couldn't, because I simply wasn't good at camera control, due to me only being able to play with my 2 thumbs and not 3 fingers like most expert mobile players. For some reason I just can't play with 3 fingers properly, it just doesn't compute, and since it's the best way to play on mobile, I just can't get good. Today the best I could do is probably ToDT and no more, so yeah, eventually I just quit obbies because I just wasn't good enough at it.
I beat totda in 3 days in september and beat some insane scs afterwards. I tried toei so many times but couldn’t even reach f3 and i’m literally stuck there. What do you recommend? (I’m a touch pad player btw)
I wonder why I go for a rem after beating ToWaW I fluked from 3 I fluked multiple times ToS ToWaW SoC SoWC SoBA and other that fluked but haven’t beated ex: ToHF F1-F8 i took two breaks all before my forgotten ridge revolution the sub realm that saved from quitting the game
yeah i think im cooked so im stuck on .5 chal point needed for ring 5. i have either totc, tos, todad, or soc as my option instead i did almost ALL towers hard and below that i can access (no it doesnt help me, im on soc grind, 3 hour grind is the norm and i dont even beat it)
if you think you could do it do it but only after youve tried every other low extreme and decided you dont like them you can also try atos and cscd extremes like perplexity tabulation or pure dopamine

#1 tip in JToH: DON’T COMPARE YOURSELF TO OTHERS!!
He mentioned this in the vid but as someone who did this, I really want to tell u all.
If you compare yourself to others, there are 3 main effects that will happen:
#1: Demotivation - It will ultimately lead you to quitting as you feel like you aren’t good enough.
#2: Sadness - You’ll be sad that you can’t be as good as others and you’ll come to the conclusion you will never be as good as others.

Thanks for helping be become an expertz on jtoh
Pro tip: actually play the game and dont quit every 3 weeks
Thank you I needed this
My hardest is ToAR and I have been playing for almost 2 years now yet I still watched this video
the editing is so good omg
Ill use this. The main thing that improved my skill was js tiered obbies
this is a really helpful video! though, whats the background music during act 2?
Somehow, my brother reached Ring 8 and Zone 4. He also went to Zone 5, but he got kicked out of Zone 5 because the game misread his steeple completions as tower completions or something.
If youre struggling with a tower youre grinding, and youre starting to get tired of playing it, try to grind a tower of a slightly lower difficulty before returning. I did this with ToTDA and ToFM, and I beat those towers quickly after grinding another tower at a slightly lower skill level.
8:18 plot twist: ur skill level is peak unreal
this is peak guide not even gonna lie
i remember i found a strat(wrap strat that could do extreme jumps) and my skill went from low jntense to like mid rem, i found out that i could go higher, i watched obby ytbers snd copied their strats and i got to like low insane, keep in mind all of this happened in under a month
Pro tip: go one step at a time and don’t doubt yourself.
2:18 what, also imo the tip of taking away noclip when practicing is annoying but not annoying cause of the fact it looks like a normal tower but like its annoying cause everytime i fall i have to open inventory click it go up wait like 5 seconds and then click it again to unequip it
@@ThiagoAlfaro-ns7eh well that should apply if you’re fairly consistent with the tower
I burnt out completing CoSR, at least I beat it
Omg I beat CoV thak youu
Bro's motivating me to beat toer 😭
Thanks for the guide
i always start practicing from floor 10 then work back down
Im trying to find a good 2nd cata after ToGF. This vid should help. I might go for ToVM
I got my first 10 run on tohr this video helped alot
Thanks it helped
Great guide! I have a question regarding mindblocks though.
I'm a player with ToES (7.4) as my hardest going for TODT (8.00). I recently got to floor 10a and failed the first jump. Ever since, I've been loopfailing 1-5 and haven't managed to get a good run past 5. I've tried slowing down and practicing each floor, but I keep failing seemingly easy things. Do you have any tips?
where can u alljump stuff/and how?
practice areas link in description
do you have a totda guide? if not, can you make one pls?
my personal tip:
USE BOOSTS AND SIN YOUR OWN WAY
I'm gonna be honest, it took me 3 years of playing this game to actually apply tip #4 (don't blame the game), and tip #7 (get uncomfortable).
TL;DR
If there's anything you take away from my message, don't be afraid of making big jumps, and PLEASE recognise your fails!!!
6:16 i dont care about breaks i just play for fun
that’s for tower grinds
Stupendous guide🤞
i been stuck on my second rem (torni) for weeks now lol
what a nice way to say "git gud"
git gud (optional)
Have any tips for people coming from Tiered obbies that wish to be good at towers too? I am a tier 15 obbyist (soon tier 16) but have as hardest only a remorseless (CoSR), it is probably because I'm not able to deal with the very long gameplay, anyway as it's considered tier 15 I'm aiming ti ToCR, have any tip to improve for long gameplays? (I reached floor 60 legit in Great Citadel of Ring One so I don't understand why I still struggle in lenght)
My dad couldnt beat ToA
Hope this helps u get better
I failed thet last jump of ToDT, it was a 1070 minute run and it made me lose my spirit, should I continue ToDT or switch to ToDC instead
you've already proved to yourself that you CAN make it to the last jump of ToDT, which basically means you'll beat it. there's no point switching after getting so far
def keep going, I always fail f9 or above so now rather than be upset I just am happy with making progress, much better way of thinking
i believe in you bro, keep going and you will get it eventually
Hey, expertz. Im a dedicated fan of yours, and I really need your opinion on this.
I've been suffering in ToTS for the past half year. 2500+ minutes, and 1000+ attempts. I don't know what to do.. My friends told me to try other towers, but something keeps me hooked to ToTS like a magnet. Could you reply and help? Thank you very much!
try switching to tower of rhythm heaven. i did it as my first remorseless and it was consistent after practicing the second half. it felt around low intense
@therealrobloxian10but i wonder what keeps me so hooked to tots that i dont even wanna go to other towers
@@TariiYTif you want to do an easy rem my fav was tofsf the first act is the hardest after that it feels like the same difficulty of totd
"CoLS is alot similiar to CoTaW but *but they are about the same difficulty*" meanwhile cotaw being high challenging imo:
Today the best I could do is probably ToDT and no more, so yeah, eventually I just quit obbies because I just wasn't good enough at it.
how to get motivation to beat a tower cuz i feel empty
Hi expertz I saw you on ring 9 gl on toam
I beat totda in 3 days in september and beat some insane scs afterwards. I tried toei so many times but couldn’t even reach f3 and i’m literally stuck there. What do you recommend? (I’m a touch pad player btw)
Plot twist: you're a console player and in the testing places, you don't own shiftlock
8:01 AVERAGE PLATE GAEM OST IN A JTOH VIDEO???

@Squared-gi9kt ok thanks
Very good video, thanks Edit, how can i get better at trusses and ladders, are theres any game on that?
I beat ToFSF b4 ToIE, just do towers that suit your playing style more
8:29 imma lose my mind
I'm grinding ToCR because of this video since my hardest is ToIF😭
Thank you
bros back
I dont enjoy tocr, but my pb is 2nd last hard jump
can you beat desert ruins
I wonder why I go for a rem after beating ToWaW I fluked from 3 I fluked multiple times ToS ToWaW SoC SoWC SoBA and other that fluked but haven’t beated ex: ToHF F1-F8 i took two breaks all before my forgotten ridge revolution the sub realm that saved from quitting the game
how do i set to 90 fps
Is jumping from tos to todc a good idea
no
If you can
yeah i think im cooked
so im stuck on .5 chal point needed for ring 5. i have either totc, tos, todad, or soc as my option
instead i did almost ALL towers hard and below that i can access (no it doesnt help me, im on soc grind, 3 hour grind is the norm and i dont even beat it)
I should grind ToIP? (bottom terri CSCD tower) my hardest is ToBK
if you think you could do it do it but only after youve tried every other low extreme and decided you dont like them
you can also try atos and cscd extremes like perplexity tabulation or pure dopamine
My 1st tower was ToH ngl
Getting good at obbies is really just about your understanding of the Roblox physics engine
Nobody bouta comment about 6:24?
