Cone is formed by removing a sector from a circle and then folding. Radius of the circle becomes the slant height and its arc length is the circumference of the cone base. Curved surface of the cone is called lateral area. A sector of a circle is a part of the circle bounded by two radii and an arc of the circumference.
thank you this was verrrrrrry helpful ! very clear explanation
Thank you Anil Kumar I found this vedio helpful

When we use surface area and when we use curved surface area?thank you.
Surface area includes all the surfaces. Some shapes have curved surfaces like cylinder, cone, sphere, etc. It really depends on the question how the curved surfaces have to be incorporated. Example: In a Can we may have different material for the curved surface and for the top or bottom. Hope that helps. Thanks
thank you it help me too much
Pls mr. anil Kumar.
I have found the same example of the cone and a hemisphere with the same dimensions in a multiple choice question and the greatest choice was 165 i looked for the model answer. The final answer was 155 i wish you see my comment.
thankyou so much!:)
