  • 2025 Volkswagen Tiguan Hybrid Revealed: What's Inside?
In 2025, Volkswagen will introduce the Tiguan, a compact SUV with a decidedly European flavor that will shake up the highly competitive segment. It will soon be accessible in the US and other nations, and a variant of the third-generation model has already been showcased in Europe. More cargo room in the back is a result of the Tiguan's length compared to its predecessor. The biggest modification is the addition of a plug-in hybrid powerplant. The new Tiguan might be a very pleasurable crossover to drive due to its platform and suspension being similar to the current GTI hatchback. We will revise this article with the most recent details, including pictures and pricing, as soon as they become available for the new Tiguan. The Honda CR-V, Mazda CX-50, and Kia Sportage are among the other crossovers that have received updates not long ago. These cars are in direct competition with the Volkswagen Tiguan.A more functional little crossover, the 2017 Tiguan is longer than its predecessor. As the market for crossovers continues to grow, the Volkswagen Tiguan is likely to remain one of the few options for buyers looking for a car with a third row of seats. The extra room for cargo is a huge plus. There is more space in the middle console area than before because the gear selector is now on the steering column in the new Tiguan. Also, you can have power-adjustable massage seats in the new Tiguan if you choose. In case more cargo room is needed, one or two seats in the second row of seats can be kept open for passengers. Half of the second row's seats are assigned to each gender. Information on the new Tiguan's engine is still under wraps, at least in the US market. We do, however, expect a turbocharged 2.0-liter inline-four as the standard engine and a more potent plug-in hybrid as a possible option. An eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission should be able to handle gear shifts with both of the available engine options.

I'm not a fan of that raised belt line at the C-pillar in the last shot, but I doubt the actual car will look that much like these concepts. VW just isn't that radical. I really do like the wheels on all of these.
BTW, I couldn't help but notice there was no mention of the updated RAV4 that's soon to debut. Its currently the best selling compact SUV in the world.
I just hope VW doesn't hold back like it typically does on the power plant. Its really going to need a performance R version if it wants to get any attention from the other popular CUV brands. The RAV4 is due to launch a new car too. However, the closest rival in that performance SUV market comes from Hyundai (EV), and that brand gives you a lot of car for the money.
