Just a tip, since it didn't look like you were doing that: Holding aft stick would lock the tail wheel in the Fw190s, so you would want to do that during your takeoff run until you're at a reasonable speed (but make sure to recenter before you force her off the ground of course). That may help in both takeoff and taxiing stability.
Out of curiosity I found video of a flying example of this plane and low and behold that engine does have a chuggy chuggy sound. I thought the sound was off and kinda weak sounding, but sure enough the actual bird sounds like that. It is really likely due to the way the exhaust consists of several different stacks, almost making it like short stacks, opposed to all the exhaust going into some sort of collector. Looks a really nice addition for the sim and hopefully it will port over to 2024.
Hi buddy, absolutely excellent video as normal I don’t know anyone else who has your talent of explanation and description, in such a good way. Video was top notch. Not got this one yet! Mav
Ooh nice. The FW190 Anton has always been a favorite (it was my trusty steed when I played IL2 competitively) and Flying Iron have done it justice as usual.
Looks an awesome aeroplane! Excellent vid as usual There seems to be a pronounced propeller ‘chop’ sound, which is pretty damned cool. I don’t recall hearing that on any other prop aircraft on the sim.
was at an airshow in australia this year with a reproduction A8... next to the spits, stangs and p40s it HUGE!!! only thing it didn't make look tiny was the sea furies
Great review as always. I bought it on day 1 but I always enjoy your assessment. The F6F-5 Hellcat had about 500hp more power, so it makes sense that the FW190 has less torque effect. My feeling is Flying Iron know what they are doing by now, so I tend to accept the handling as is. However, the lack of any stall buffet is clearly an issue. Hopefully they fix that in an update.
Excellent video & honest review. Really enjoyed the flybys from the crowd perspective brilliant & was like I was actually there. Are the Duxford display announcements just a sound you added in your editing or is it a add-on for the chico mick scenery?
Hey dude, I'm sure you get this offer all the time, but I have a group of virtual military pilots. We do a lot of low level and formation flying in a huge variety of warbirds, jets multi engine transport/cargo, helicopters and more (many also like bush flying, and a few fly commercial). Between us we've probably got every aircraft in sim. We're a friendly group, and we'd be happy to be extras at your disposal as and when needed. Not as features in videos per-se but just to have traffic in the background, that you can trust not to get in the way or ruin your video. We'd be happy just to come and go in the background or occasionally pass by in the distance to add a little to the scenery. As I said at the top, I'm sure you get a lot of offers like this, so I wont be offended if you're not interested. If you or anyone else who reads this is interested in flying with us, we're in the MSFS discord voice chat, most evenings (EU time). Just join the lobbies and ask around for the military people, we're all friendly and approachable.
Hey..thanks for your work...and hello from Wisconsin. I already have their Spit and the P-38...am sure I'll get this one too. Enjoy flying them. And you know... we need a mod that will allow you to have a hanger(s) in the sim, where you could see all of your owned aircraft sitting on the field. Wouldn't that be nice...smiles. We have already spent a bunch of money buying our aircraft. I'd pay more to see my inventory on display on the ground.
Hey Mate 🙂. I was looking forward to your review of this one as -like your good self- Warbirds are my favorites as well. It looks like another rock solid effort from Flying Iron. But - based on your review- it's not as great as their 109 yet. Maybe a future update will put it on par?... The only question that remains is will the FW-190 finish ahead of the Corsair and Wildcat on your upcoming annual 'Best of' Warbird list?... Kind regards!
I wish they had taken the opportunity to bring their aircraft to A2A level of fidelity. Especially with the way these old birds can fail or are bulletproof compared to modern prop aircraft, makes for an interesting and exciting simulation case.
😅beautiful aircraft waiting for it to arrive in the marketplace for xbox I have all of the available flying iron warbirds spitfire, hellcat, P 38 Lightning, Messerschmitt 109 G love them all . Anything Flying Iron is worth buying .
What is that airport and mods to do like an air show? I mainly play on Xbox. Not as much as I’d like. But obviously new game coming shortly. I’ll play on pc if this is the only way to do this airport etc
Looking forward to this on Xbox. What is it about German aircraft that they sound like a tractor inside the cockpit. They sound cool on the flyby 😂. I’m going to name mine Chitty Chitty bang bang.
man, ngl, the sound does NOT match what's going on in the vid. Flying it sounds at idle, and flyby's sounds like it's 5 miles away somewhere, not loud and upfront as it should be and having that build up and then drown out effect for the speed of sound for the first bits of the vid.
I've always thought that the 190 A-model had the most graceful lines of any airplane ever made. A real beauty. Good to see it come to the sim.
I will buy anything Flying Iron puts out. I've loved everything they've done so far.

Hinter Stahlvollvieh verbirgt sich also der Plasa Klaus 😉

One of my favorite warbirds for MSFS beside FlyingIron`s BF109!

Superb video, I am never tired of flying this jewel!
Captivating video 👌
Another great unbiased analysis of a Beautiful Brute of an Aircraft.... Thank you for another wonderful presentation... Roger.. Pembrokeshire
Ha! Been waiting years for this! Looks stunning

Will be awsome to see a b17 like a2a use to do in fsx
Oh man I wish! Had many hours in that bird in fsx. It was in league of its own. Loved hearing those engines purr
Thank you very mch for this great presentation of this georgeous plane. I dream having the He 177 in that detail on day🙂
Excellent. Everything in air show is simulated. Only smell and the rain shower is missing
The review I've been waiting for 🙂

What???
The 190 is a tiny airplane in comparison.
Every single airplane you mentioned is larger than the 190.
@@e36s50b30 lols have you ever seen them next to each other and in real life….. it’s a big plane

Picked it up last week and was hoping you would review. What a bute.

Possible for MSFS 2024 tbh
NO F&CKIN WAYYYY MY FAVORITE PLANS
Fantastically modelled MSFS mod is still mired in MSFS.
Intro looks like real life!
I'm pretty sure they got the engine sounds from a troy built garden tiller 😂
Not even close....

I love it.
the windhield always looks so weird in game-reditions of the FW190.. it looks a lot less weird IRL
Beauty.

Wdym they are very high fidelity
I am quite sure the oxygen valve should be turned counter-clockwise like unsrewing the the plug.
Sometimes certain gas bottles have the opposite, but in this case I think you’re righty tighty… 😂

Hello,
has anyone any clue when this wonderful add-on will be available in the actual in-game marketplace?
So these are not available to buy in ms own store?
How's the takeoff compared to the 109? Do you need full right rudder and aileron here as well?
The aircraft itself looks really nice. But it does not feel like a "life" aircraft. At least not from this video.
