Has them being kids even really been relevant to the plot besides nerfing them though? Not like they had to get in the club but couldn't. They still be in there eating and drinking😂
Daima is literally as close as you can get to a perfect adaptation of the manga. The art style, the angles, and the expressions just perfectly line up with the original pages. Absolutely goated. 👍
You know with the way Funimation’s style has improved with Dragon Ball AND One Piece…if they wanted to I wouldn’t mind waiting a while for a potential Super season 2 to look as good as Daima and not rushed like Season 1
interesting how something simple as adding and removing frames can give whole different interpretations In 2:46, Daima Goku gave the impression that that was the amount of energy that he was actually needing, like a "finally, this was what i was asking for", while Z Goku, due to how that scene has more frames of Goku holding that pose, gave me the impression that Goku was surprised with the amount of Ki he received, like "yo, this is way more than i was asking for"
OG Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z will always be iconic and have their place, but a Dragon Ball anime remake with DAIMA’s animation would be a dream come true.

Daima takes greater ispiration from the manga. You can see it from the camera angles, the color palette and the designs for buu, being closer to the manga because of the 3 fingered hands. I’d say that this change brings room to breathe from Z un some capacity
Imagine this, they reanimate dragon ball's entire story but with modern-day pacing. Maybe 50 episodes of og Dragon Ball, 75 episodes of Dragon Ball Z and 90 episodes of Dragon Ball Super (no movies included). It could be a long running anime kinda like One Piece. They could call it Dragon Ball Legacy. This will never happen, but boy o boy, I'd love to re-experience the entire dragon ball story with this level of animation. They will also have the chance to remove filler, fix the pacing issues since they have fewer episodes to work with, and add and remove things to make the series more cohesive since they have hindsight at their advantage. It will take us a while to catch up to the manga, but with the manga being a monthly thing, we would still have somthing to look forward to every week with dragon ball for a looooooong time
Even if you were under five. Dragon Ball Z was clearly had obviously badly drawn episodes followed up by well drawn episodes. It was 50/50 what kind of episode you could get. There were even groups of episodes people would skip because they were badly drawn or had no action
And in any case, we already had the well drawn DBZ movies. Tree of Might, Broly, which looked better than the regular DBZ cartoon, or looked like only the best drawn episodes.

1:08 - 1:13 I actually like the look of Z better for these shots, especially Buu's expression. It feels a lot more sinister. Overall though, Daima knocked it out of the park with these scenes, everything looks incredible. (Also prefer Vegeta's pose for the Final Explosion and Kid Buu's death in Z of course, but since they're not trying to do the same exact shots I figured its not a fair comparison)
I think daima’s biggest issue is the overuse of effects and the sun ray effect thingie that a lot of new animes like modern one piece do but if you toned down the blinding effects it is really good around the level of dragon ball z
Originally everyone thought that Project Daima when it was first announced without the trailers would be a complete remaster of the Original Dragonball in the new animation style cause Toriyama made a deliberate point of wanting to do so in an interview.
better schedule, better character designs. With a better schedule, they have more time to work on episodes. And the character designs are a lot simpler than Super's, so less stuff to worry about.
The fight between Goku and Vegeta has better choreography in Z, they use the concept of anticipation in animation very well, something that in current anime tends to be forgotten, in addition another problem with current anime is the colors of the aura that erase the details of the drawings because of the brightness that saturates the image.

Daima's technically ARE the original colors, it's going off Toriyama's colors for the manga instead of Toei's for the anime. Also Toriyama apparently didn't like how dark the orange for Goku's gi was, since it was supposed to resemble the stuff Shaolin monks wear. The color for his Daima gi resembles the colors he liked to use a lot more closely.

Daima wins in pure animation quality. M Dbz wins in an overall majority when it comes to the animation being able to convey the correct amount of emotion and what emotion is intended for a specific scene. The art style is better too.

DBZ Vegeta's Death stills better, the animation the details thesequence is just perfect, for the rest the reanimated version is better.
I still don't like how easy Trunks and Goten and basically every other saiyan afterwards became SSJ when Future Trunks and Gohan had to go through pain and anguish. Also how easily Gotenks became SSJ3.
I wish at least some arcs of Z got reanimated in Daima’s style. My main issues with Z start with how boringly dragged out the fights are-even in Kai. When reading the manga, it just does not feel like that at all. The crappier effects are excusable for how ancient Z is. My final pet peeve is how slow everyone moves in Z. I do not get how people can seriously complain about the speed of fights in Super when that’s literally how fast these characters are supposed to be moving and everyone was making fun of Z for making 1 minute fights last for 2 hours.

But still i don't like it and I'm on the 11th episode which the show apparently has 20 episodes only. I can't wait to for it to finish so the sequel to Super can be aired. Lastly i don't think we'll ever get to see that level of hype from Super especially on ToP saga. Back then every streaming services crashed when Goku fighting Jiren. Ultra Instinct is the culmination of Goku's potential. Every other future transformation isn't worth it at all

i usually prefer when anime try to have a new take on the manga artstyle but w this case i much prefer daimas interpretation w more manga accurate style n pacing. the dynamic camera work, snappy, smooth animation w more vibrant colors n atmospheric lighting makes it so much more appealing even tho we got so little

i usually prefer when anime try to have a new take on the manga artstyle but w this case i much prefer daimas interpretation w more manga accurate style n pacing. the dynamic camera work, snappy, smooth animation w more vibrant colors n atmospheric lighting makes it so much more appealing even tho we got so little

Pero cell max es horrible, black es literal un goku malo, moro es un cell con cuernos, freezer con otro color, los hermanos gita parecen unos soldados comunes de freezer.
Apuesto que si Majin buu o freezer hubiera sido creado hoy en día dirías lo mismo, estamos hablando del mismo manga que sus enemigos son un enano azul/ un hombre en un robot/ una persona con 3 ojos, y un momia, sip allí te ví tablos fan
@k1-64black3 pues vas a perder la apuesta, porque tanto freezer y buu tienen excelentes diseños incluso hasta ahora y ni hablar en la época que salieron, que eran diseños innovadores y ni hablar de cell que fue la cúspide en villano, tan perfecto q le hicieron 3 copias cannon (cell max, hit y moro)
Freezer, el alien femboy con sus fases muy originales como el demonio y el xenomorfo y cell es su propia mierda tomando en cuenta que originalmente los villanos eran 20 y 21 hasta que consultor de Toriyama lo hizo cambiarlo más de una vez

Daima does a good job with that really fluid animation like with majin vegeta and gotenks vs buu it's nice to see how dbz would look like with modern animation but I still love the OG it's what 30yrs old? And still looks good!
