Attention: I have been murdered. My life has been destroyed by the magnificence of this book. I have loved evey single page and it touched me in a very special way. This is just something I tried to make to join two of my biggest passions, reading and vidding. Sadly I only had the trailer and a few clips so there aren't a lot of scenes I wanted to use but I tried my best. I predict I'm gonna vid these two again as soon as I get my hands on the full movie so if you're interested, stay tuned. If you have not read this book, I totally recommend it. Also I can't wait for the movie, the actors are great, the director is incredible so it's only fair to say that it's gonna be perfect.

The last paragraph of the book, which is also the last quote in your video, gets me every time. It doesn’t matter if I’m crying while reading the book beforehand (which I most likely am) or not, I’ll just cry when I read that line. And I love so much how he ended his book with the title. I have so much appreciation for that decision.

I thought I will not like any clips other than the original trailer, but this one just changed it. The statue conversation is my favourite (plus the one in Elio's private spot). It is just so ambiguously beautifully cautiously intangibly itchily expressed, you feel the fiercely yet strugglingly controlled connection between two souls via subtext, via those sounds-normal words. The beauty of veiling love with burning & sensitive emotion. Even though not a single "like, miss, love, embrace, kiss.." those words in the conversation, they sure have gazed, hugged, snuggled with each other million times in their heart. Love is beautiful only if you protect it as if it was that fragile, intangible and unpredictable. Thanks for your video!

I have listened to Armie read the novel and watched the movie in the theatre 10 times...I just can’t get enough of everything about this story-elio & Oliver..timothee and armie..Italy landscape..the beauty of the story and the characters as they unfold..the unconditional love of the parents and the joys and sorrow of first love..sultry film...It’s as though they do such a beautiful job of inhabiting their characters and you feel as though their brilliant acting abilities bring those characters from the book into real life with such genuineness - I can’t wait for the sequel. I find some something different each time that I love when I watch it over and over again. Nothings ever hit me like this beautiful story as it unfolds on camera.

This movie is brilliant (I'm sure the book is even better) but the cinematography and the chemistry between the actors and just everything all together... I read the book and I finished it yesterday. It is one of the most loving and tender romance of all times. However make sure to have a box of tissues for the last 20 pages. It was heart wrenching for me, I cried and cried and cried....
Ray- Alexander I actually read it on Saturday and absolutely love it!! That ending was felt so bittersweet but I mean what an unforgettable coming of age story and beautiful romance. Now I just need to find a way to watch the movie or reread the book because I'm having a major book hangover I can't get it out of my head!

The sentence at the end of the book: hold my gaze, and CALL ME BY YOUR NAME. it just makes me really sad and down of mood, just think of Elio still loves Oliver so much, what beautiful moment they both went through, gap years and then they met again, and again but life is an acceptance. I cried for that ending quote.
I draw another ending that years later, after Oliver played a role model as husband and father as Oliver's father expected him to be, Oliver wants to free and live himself , to be true to himself, then he goes back to live happily forever with Elio. By this, it can calm my soul. yayyyyyy!
