My Gladiator is a month old. I did not know...till someone turning Left in front of me while at a red light waved with a big open hand, continuously, until I waved back. Then I caught it. I understood. Now that I watch SKETCHY JEEP channel, I understand completely. I shall wave. Decal is cool. I wish I didnt hear that it was crooked. Now, I cant un see it. Sorry, Man. It happens. Try moving one letter at a time, you can do it. I did that on an old BMW I have. I put it on crooked, it bugged me, I straightened it out, one letter at a time: R 1 1 5 0 R...then I seen a different color...I liked that better. I just put it over the older, now, it looks shaded. Im not sayin' do that. SKETCHY looks cool by itself, try one letter at a time. The wave reminds me of motorcyclists used to do ...wave when meeting on the highway. Poeple dont do that much anymore. They just stare, if they see me at all. I am giving motorcycles up for JEEP. 4 wheels under a person is much safer. 👋
Probably new Jeep owners who aren’t aware of the wave I only knew about it because my ex owned a TJ. People were waving at me when we had a rented JK and she was like “you gotta wave back” She opened up a whole world I wasn’t aware of 😂
I live in the palms springs area of ca and my rig is a 2010 wrangler rubicon unlimited and right now it’s around 120 degrees AC can barely keep up so if you’re not with someone that’s motivated you’re gonna be alone
Had a 2006 Wrangler until a few months ago. Live in CT but drove across country 22 times and vacationed in Utah/New Mexico/Colorado/Wyoming/Arizona. My rig was modded but not lifted(32's K0). Less waves out in Jeep country (south west) where I was offroad all the time. I always assumed that it was because out in the south west, you'd be waving at every other vehicle. Maybe it was because I wasn't lifted. I did have one ranger call my rig an "east coast rig" but who knows. Never really cared. Because everybody in a Jeep helps everybody else in a Jeep which is the unwritten rule. Blew a tire coming down from Clear Lake outside Silverton, Colorado at about 11k feet. Nasty hole the size of a quarter dead center in the tread. An hour later a few guys in a Jeep rolled up behind me, gave me a can of fix-a-flat so I stuck a rock in that huge hole, put the fix-a-flat in and the rock stuck in there so I could get to the mechanic in Silverton. It would have been one long walk down to where cell service.
Good to see I have fellow brothers out there who can't take a crooked anything. My wife drives me crazy cause she will purposely hang pictures crooked. My shite has got to be perfect or it will drive me crazy.

Idk about it being stock owner.. inbmy area modded jeeps wont wave at stock jeeps. Then again its primarily the rubicon owners who have every mod you can think of and dont off road but think they're cool as fuck. Lol

I don't know why people keep buying Jeeps when they can get a "poor man's jeep", the Isuzu Rodeo 4x4 for just a few grand. My Isuzu has pulled many Jeeps and other vehicles to safety over the short time i've had it. I live on a terrible road and I see my neighbor's jeep slipping and sliding every so often, but I have no problem climbing icy roads. Even the big 4x4 trucks can't do it and many costs over $60k!
I've owned 13 different models of Jeeps all but 4 were modified. I don't wave at other Jeeps or return waves because I simply don't give a fuck. I find it gay.

I’ve found that the heavily modified wranglers don’t wave back at stock wranglers. At least on 30a in Florida, where I work

Hair dryer or heat gun that new decal come right off, just replace it and you’ll feel a lot better about it
