Save yourself some trouble and don't mess with your ECU box. Plug the red wire into empty fuse slot (e.g fuse 13 for sedan E46 is perfect), since you will be working in your footwell area anyways
@@TheIrek666 do u perhaps know if the angel eyes will work just fine if i do that? whats difference between that and ECU? i suppose it will work only when i set lights on in csr manualy right?
Of all the installs I’ve reviewed, yours, got me, is the most substantive I’ve seen. A question: Have you seen or found exact same angel eyes that allow color change via a remote and are LED?
JDM toy RGB switchback angel eyes. Had them on my e 46 but ended going back to plain white. Check out BMW Selena Angel Eyes install. Different electrical hook ups but same end result.
I would suggest getting that pos wire wrapped in something to protect it from rubbing against the chassis and short out. Even cut a slit in that rubber and get the cable through it.
Hey, when installing these on my 2000 323ci, a strange whine appeared near my master brake cyclinder, makes noise constantly and had to unplug the battery, any suggestions?
@@icyw0lf937 I don’t have a diy written up to do that. You would just add a basic on/off switch going from the ecu to the switch. Then back to Angel eye harness
Ecu tap is for the ignition source. If you don’t connect it, the Angel eyes won’t come on when ignition is on. The footwell light tap is so the Angel eyes come on when you unlock the car.
You can use the video diy for 80% of the install. Use this diy for the rest cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/1953/3475/files/Angel_Eye_Guy_DIY_for_White_amber.pdf?6281104859294682878

Is there a way to connect the angel eyes to the original daytime running lights connectors instead of connecting it to the ECU ignition wire?
Instead of the ignition wire can we connect to an after market switch or button so that we can turn the light on and off while driving ?
Yes you can.

what abt the other angel eye? where do i connect it? the ECU and the footwell just like the other one?
Do you have to tap both the ECU cable, AND the footwell light cable? Or can you pick which one is best for your setup?
Ecu tap is for the ignition source. If you don’t connect it, the Angel eyes won’t come on when ignition is on.
The footwell light tap is so the Angel eyes come on when you unlock the car.
