I was suspended from my busboy job in 1977 at 16 years old on the busiest night of the week a Saturday night cause I stayed home to watch Starsky and Hutch.
Paul Michael Glaser, a handsome, superb actor/director/writer/humanitarian. A strong individual whose personal life experiences made him even stronger. He has an amazing inner strength. GOD BLESS YOU ALWAYS PAUL MICHAEL GLASER. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Happy Birthday to my dear actor my great love from my adolescence to today you are an incredible man in every way from my heart I wish this day is special ❤💋🎂🥂🌹 @Paul Michael Glaser
It's such a pleasure to get to see PMG in that moment, as opposed to Starsky. Don't get me wrong, I *loved* Starsky when I was thirteen, and still do, but it's fascinating to hear the voice of the man behind the character.
Koret Mulder have you watched him in a film called "Wait til your mother gets home" with Dee Wallace, Joey Lawrence etc? It's so funny & heart warming! It's on UA-cam 🙂

Paul is an amazing actor, director , writer & artist! I loved him as Starsky & I enjoyed Phobia but the ending upset me so I can never watch it again. The directing he did on the episode of Deck Watch was awesome! I have never seen anyone be able to have 2 separate conversations going on at the same time. Only Paul can do that! He also directed Sweet Revenge & I loved the tag ending! Paul we love & miss you. Please get Hanky directed staring David Soul real soon as none of us are getting any younger. I hope you star in it also. We need to see the love, friendship & chemistry that you two always show to each other. We are tired of all this 6 feet apart social distancing crap that is going on in this world. We all need to fight for our country, freedom & rights! ♥️♥️
El siempre será mi amor platónico también es lo más bello y el estilo que tiene como actor y no importa los años que tenga hoy ... siempre será mi amor platónico...
Melanie Sinclair Wasn’t *that* bad - it’s a pretty good interview and Glaser seemed to be giving short answers anyway. The interviewer sensed this and encouraged him to open up with some rather thoughtful questions.
It was not the last week 😁 Probably 40 years ago. You have just to observe his haircut and his fresh face. Wears too. At this time I watched Benny Hill's show 😁. Nice and creative time ! I loved.
That is silly. Did he really asked for that to be in his contract? how do u guys know all this? well, those sleepy blue eyes, dark curly hair he was handsome. 40 or more years ago interview he does looked sad or upset in this interview. What was the deal with him?
I seriously doubt that was a thing. He has always said in interviews that he felt that he was hired to be the ethnic guy and David was the cute one. Me, I truly beg to differ. The man was and is just as handsome as can be. I think he was just really uncomfortable being in the limelight. He had some awfully tragic times following S and H and I admire him for coming out so well on the other side.
Never knew about the contract thing , what's so ironic and funny about that is , after the show ended , he would up directing Miami Vice . And guess what happened ! Don Johnson did the same thing he did regarding his contract . They threatened to get Mark Harmon to replace him if he didn't come back .
He looked so tensed and even mad here. He sure was hard to work with back then. I really prefer him now than back in those days when success came a bit to his head.
You have absolutely no idea what might or might not have been going on for Paul at that time let alone assume he's looking "tense" or "mad" what a very strange thing to say about someone you don't know.
Yes he took the show to court because he through he was going to be this massive Hollywood star, he wanted out of his contract, then when he stayed on the show he told them in his contract that he wanted to be called Handsome, Gorgeous, i think it really went to his head, i was a big fan of Starsky and Hutch!
That's it exactly. He's very well educated and experienced in acting and evidently very shrewd, too. David Soul and he got pay raises of $30,000 per episode in season 2 because of his above-mentioned power play. They had been making just 5k an episode prior! He got to direct episodes, too. I LOVE PMG but AFTER they got more money he changed even more. Production didn't know if he was coming back to start season 3, then he sauntered into the studio and everyone was surprise. "Ole Blue Eyes."
Yes he wanted out of his contract, but came back strong to finish it out honorably. I am not sure being a massive star was anything he really wanted, I think directing was his passion. Later on he admitted he was probably wrong and things turned out as they should have. He was a young guy, and like many, had a hard time dealing with his celebrity. To his inestimable credit, Paul kept his act together thru some extremely hard times and came out a better man on the other side.
I heard that he demanded bowl fulls of pink MnM's in his dressing room, which didnt exist, so the studio had to pay the confectioner to make them especially for Paul.
@@drssexy2142 I think that's apocryphal. I heard similar story about Van Halen. They insisted on having a large bowl of M&M's in their dressing room, but only the brown ones - the rest were discarded.
He is the epitome of class, humility and grace.❤❤❤❤❤.

♥️
keep it in yer pants, sue
He had so much charisma and charm as Starsky and handsome
I think he's aged so very well! Just saw an interview from 2019 I believe, and wow, we should all be so lucky. He still has very evident mojo.
Happy birthday paul for your splendid 80 years and bring to an infinity to happiness and serenity from italian boy live in rome

El paso de los años lo han tratado muy bien...Se le ve un señor muy atractivo...Ahora a sus 80 años se le ve muy bien❤
Ohh my gosh….had the BIGGEST crush on him and David Soul back in the day x I was 16 ❤️❤️❤️
yeah, i would get regular hard-ons
Me too 🥰🥰😍😍💙💙

That's because he's *not* the fictional character of Starsky
So sweet and soft spoken. What a gentleman. He seems very shy and uncomfortable with being in the limelight.
Great actor and Human Being.
Enjoyed how Glazer quotes the Rolling Stones on British television, which the presenter takes no notice of whatsoever 😊
Paul is important for my life i remember When i Was a child you are fantastic very nice
Gran actor hombre admirable en todos los sentidos 👏 ❤❤💋
excepto cuando tenemos que oírlo o verlo

I liked the interview but I found the interviewer to be annoying here. He kept interrupting Glaser.
Agreed, and his phrasing of the questions was a bit jarring - saying PMG had "fallen by the wayside," or that he seemed "uptight."
I thought the interviewer was quite rude and his whole attitude was boorish.
que lindo era
por favor ,traducir al español!!
When was this filmed? Too bad the interviewer kept interrupting him.
