From the greatest heights in the 1970s to the depths of despair in the 1980's and early 1990's. And he's still going strong at age 77. The love of his life, Elizabeth, as we know died at age 47. He's been blessed with a long life.
Cindy Bee..… I feel the exact same way. Based on the timeline, he and his family would have just recently been told the news of the diagnosis, at the time of this interview. …. I remember Ariel's death in August 1988 and Elizabeth's death in December 1994. Then I lost track of him for a while...... Did you know he remarried a woman named Tracy Barone 23 months after Elizabeth's death? She adopted Jake. Paul and she had a daughter, Zoe, together in 1997 and divorced in 2007. As of 2020, Paul is 77, Jake is 35 years old and very healthy. He is an executive with the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric Aids Foundation. Ariel Glazer would have been 38 years old had she lived.
Jake is now 39 and going strong. He has a gene that keeps the HIV from progressing and he takes medication. He is very sweet and handsome. Paul also has that gene which is why he was never infected. They are very close. Paul re-married (now divorced) and has another daughter, Zoe who is now in her mid-20's.

The film he's promoting was released in 1986, and the family was diagnosed in 1985, so yes. Terrible situation. On the upside, the kids must have loved having dad say hello on TV.

Wow, I've never seen him say hi to his kids. I don't know when this was filmed but he must have known they were sick already? So sad...
