I love that the reason Kuzco is the way he is, is told to us in two very missable scenes:
1.) Yzma, "I practically raised him!" Look at who he was modeling himself after.
2.) At his "funeral". Yzma: "On the eve of his 18th birthday." He wasn't even 18 before he was a llama lol
Man was a literally a spoiled child who grew up watching a narcissist

Yes the movie also has Krunk say “you’d think he would’ve turned out better” because he really thinks Yzma is a good person but we all know she’s not so that’s why she replies how she does (“yeah, go figure”) lol

A detail many people didn't notice is that after Yzma tossed her llama potion into the cactus it took on the shape of a llama at 10:50
During the short scene with Kuzco as a baby, he's given dolls of a llama, parrot, and whale, he becomes all these later in the movie as we know. Nother Detail there.
Kronk is by far the best Antihero ever. He eventually after this movie becomes an ally to Kuzco while being unintelligent helping Yzma. You can’t hate him. He makes the movie
I say he and Kitt together help to make this movie - most of Kronk's time is spent with Yzma, and the way Kitt and Warburton feed each other is gold.

This movie is absolutely iconic, But the story is underrated. And the acting performances are all just amazing especially Eartha Kitt as Yzma and Patrick Warburton as Kronk those two are one of the best villain duo's in the history of Disney!!!

The Emperor's New Groove is one of my favorite childhood movies. Eartha Kitt's performance as Yzma will never get old, Kuzco and Pacha's friendship has grown and Kronk is always funny

Absolutely for Eartha Kitt! One of the reasons that Warburton's Kronk is so fun and great is the chemistry he and Kitt established for this movie.

I just realized that Kronk should have transformed when he faked drinking the 'poison' at the beginning. He poured it on his shoulder and it was later shown that having potions splashed on you can cause the transformation...

The funniest Disney film on the block! Like seriously, The Emperor’s New Groove is just full of Looney Tunes tier slapstick and the characters are wonderfully entertaining. Very underrated animated film!

I hope you guys also know there is a series called emperor’s new school. Basically Kuzco goes back to school because he needs a degree to continue as emperor.
Kuzco's title as Emperor is the Sapa Inca; as the descendant of Manco Capac, it was believed that the royal lineage came directly from the Sun God Inti and thus Kuzco has the Divine Right to rule.
Now this is a true classic right here!

Patrick Warburton improvised Kronk's theme music and Disney had him sigh all the rights for it over to them.
Kronk not only stole this movie but received his own Disney direct to video sequel.

I like that Yzma got off relatively easy. After all, she was hardly worse than Kuzco at the beginning. She got punished but they left the door open for her to become a better person by spending time as an animal in a lesser station as well.

This movie may not be the sweeping epic that The Lion King or Beauty and the Beast is, but it’s even better because of it. It’s so unique, bright, funny, heartwarming. Did I mention funny? Perfectly cast, it’s fast and fun. And it doesn’t outstay it’s welcome as it’s barely more than an hour.
Disney had its renaissance, but it also had a second half renaissance from like 1999-2003. You had Toy Story 2, Emperor’s New Groove, Dinosaur, Atlantis, Monsters Inc, House of Mouse, Kingdom Hearts, Lilo and Stitch, Brother Bear, and the 2003 rerelease of The Lion King. What a time to be alive.
