I get the best results with Leatherique when I cover my seats with plastic bags and run a small a space heater in my car over night on low on the center console arm rest. (Don't put the front near any surfaces and leave h the door a crack open) The temperature and time do make a difference. And to all the internet wizards here saying this can't work because auto leather is coated: Coated doesn't mean the surface is completely sealed. Even modern automotive leather needs to breathe. Don't believe it? Try and leave a convertible with coated leather seats and the top down sitting the in rain and you'll have yourself some water damage. The rejuvenator gets in exactly the same way the water does.
I applied the Rejuvenator Oil on my car this afternoon. Gonna check it tomorrow afternoon and if needed will apply in the dry areas. I left my car outside in a place where it will get some sun. I blocked all the windows also in order to don't let the direct sun light hit the leather surface. The plan is to let it "marinate" for 48 hours LOL
Thank you for the video. You can USE YOUR GARE HANDS with the Rejuvinator Oil. Reason for the Rejuvinator First is to get UNDER the dirt so it floats up to the Surface. Again Thank You George P Owner Leatherique.
Just stumbled upon your channel not to long ago. Known Todd all the way back to his house and Acura TL days lol. He just got that new Turbo S you see that-
Hey Matt! I don't know if any of your cars have cloth seats but could you make a video on how to clean cloth seats properly? My car seats have blue dye stains in them from my jeans and i'm not sure on how I can get them out and clean my seats effectively. Thanks for the awesome videos :)
This is what I use to clean cloth seats. Get the spray bottle and dilute to the recommended mixture of Distilled water and Super Degreaser. Get a soft leather brush and gently agitate the stain follow with a microfiber cloth preferably white. The same procedure applies to leather seats. www.autopia-carcare.com/meguiars-super-degreaser.html
The way you know if it's leather or not, just use your fingernail to draw a little line on the surface. If the line stays it's leather, if the line disappears it's not leather.
Good morning, I'd like to say good video. Well, my black leather seats are usually always clean. Soon, not even 3 months ago I applied Gyeon Leather cleaner and Gyeon Q2 leather coat sealant. As the banks have some wrinkles from the former owner, I decided to ask for help and that's where Leatherique appeared. I saw a series of videos including yours. I did the application as it shows in the video, I did it in stages, I let it dry from day to day on the street. And Eyes seen nothing improved !!! Will I have to do it again? -Leatherique rejuvenator Oil -Leatherique Prestine Clean Prestine Clean, I did not find it effective, much better the Gyeon leather cleaner. Thank you SFF. Thank you.
hell yes matt!! this is perfect . one question I seen and spoke to a few people I have steam cleaned and used a good leather cleaner. do you ship products the the UK ?
If you live in Ohio they will not allow you to take the class. They have a no compete policy for the classes. I buy a few of my detail products from them and I have inquired about taking the class and both Todd and Zack have told me this. Kind of Stinks but I see there reasoning.
This is awesome but I have a question about using your bare hands to rub the rejuvenator onto the seats. I know it's suppose to open the pores of the seats but wouldn't the oil & dirt on your bare hands just get in the pores? Could an alternative be to steam clean or wipe the seat with hot water & wipe dry before applying the rejuvenator?
Hey man did Todd at Esoteric say anything about a slight preheat section by section with a heatgun? Using this first time on a 15 long horn Laramie 2500 Diesel with the brown leather. Thanks!
Hello Matt. I recently bought a 2006 bmw 325 and the leather seats have wrinkles. Is there any way to get the leather tight without hurting the leather?
Random question... i am getting powerlock and I know you like collinite 845 with it but have you tried anything else as a last step product? If so what was it? And how well did it work?
Matt I'm not trying to be a hater or criticize you but I think you just wasted your time on those leather seats and doors. Let me explain, modern leather in cars have clearcoat on them so normal leather products don't do anything to them, that's why they are cleaned with all purpose cleaners and then sealed or coated like paint.
You can check out esoteric car cares video about the leatherique products. They see this differently, and I guess that's why Matt uses it even though it is coated leather.
Buying this kit for sure. Love how leather is coming out without any sheen.
You gave me the idea to take my seats out of my truck this weekend to do a deep clean on the inside. Loving this S2000 series already bro.
If you fail as an FC and as a car detailer, you could always start a third career as a masseuse

First! I love all of your videos. Keep up the great work!!
Almost at 100k subscribers Matt. Great videos. You inspire me to dial in my vehicles: 04 Dodge Dakota, 64 Chevy and the wife's CRV.
Thanks man. It's crazy that some obscure, niche thing could bring this many people.

That's a great way to do it.
Great video Matt! Love the attention to detail, keep up the awesome work!

Hey guy I watch all of your videos. I enjoy your thoroughness so keep on keeping on
It about time he has taken the Porsche route.
Can't believe I just watched Matt fondle a seat for 20 mins lol
Ha, ha...

I'm not much of an interior expert.

-Leatherique rejuvenator Oil
-Leatherique Prestine Clean
Prestine Clean, I did not find it effective, much better the Gyeon leather cleaner.
Thank you SFF.
Thank you.
At first I thought that was an empty food container, but then I realized it's a mini paint tray haha
hell yes matt!! this is perfect . one question I seen and spoke to a few people I have steam cleaned and used a good leather cleaner. do you ship products the the UK ?
I do.
Nice I have todd take care of my Jags ;). Can I be a 100% novice and still take Todd's course or is some buffing experience required?
You can show up with no knowledge. They will cater to you.
If you live in Ohio they will not allow you to take the class. They have a no compete policy for the classes. I buy a few of my detail products from them and I have inquired about taking the class and both Todd and Zack have told me this. Kind of Stinks but I see there reasoning.
I believe the seat backs are vinyl.

What do you use for maintenance cleaning after this water or a interior cleaner detailer??? P&s or cockpit???
Off topic q for you Matt, have you tried the Cookie Monster Microfiber Towel?
Hey Matt, what shorts are you wearing in the s2k wash video? Sorry if its a weird question, just trying to find something comfortable.
They are Under Armor Golf.
...and underwear?
This kit saved my S2000 seats, which were cardboard when I got it. I do think the backs of the seats are vinyl…
Damn that pick up truck is nice
What do you use when it’s fairly new leather seats? Kinda for just maintenance and protection
I just wipe down occasionally.
Can i use this cleaner on plastics too or just leather?
I apologize if this has been answered in another video.
This is really only good for leather.
Hey man did Todd at Esoteric say anything about a slight preheat section by section with a heatgun? Using this first time on a 15 long horn Laramie 2500 Diesel with the brown leather.
Thanks!
Todd suggests putting the windows up and leaving the car out in the sun for a few days.
Got it. Yeah I imagine that would definitely bake it. I meant more for initial absorption but I'll leave it out in sun before I do that also!

I'm not much of a leather expert.
dying for more video.... ;-)
Did you steam clean the seats before the using the Cleaner?
I did not.
Random question... i am getting powerlock and I know you like collinite 845 with it but have you tried anything else as a last step product? If so what was it? And how well did it work?
I tried dozens and dozens. I keep coming back to 845.
Use LV leather oil, you will save time for drying
watching the tv shake as he cleans the seat, i know the seat is scratching up that nice tv :(
almost guarantee you,the back of a Honda seat is vinyl, not leather.
I’ve been considering griots interior cleaner which they say it includes leather but being that you’re a guru wanted your input on it haha
Griot's is good. You can use it to clean leather.

That video goes into a detailed explanation of what I'm telling you and what products work with modern leather seats
I was thinking about this the entire time. Glad someone else posted about it.
You can check out esoteric car cares video about the leatherique products. They see this differently, and I guess that's why Matt uses it even though it is coated leather.
What video. All I see is an s2ki thread talking about how to use Leatherique.
