I was finally able to find it again about a week ago, and it was as good as I remembered - if not better. 🥃 Obviously we have different opinions about it. 🙂 I killed a bottle of 46 tonight. It's good, but I've come to prefer a darker profile than the brightness of Maker's Mark, so I probably won't buy another. 17:54 East Texas has a climate like Alabama, but the further west you go the drier it gets. My hometown, Cisco (45 miles east of Abilene) is considerably drier than Alabama. And out in the Trans-Pecos it's actual desert.
You should enjoy both the Makers you picked up the 101 is a very good pour. I do prefer the cask Makers but it's a bit more expensive. And I'm not sure how limited the 101 is as it sits on shelves in my area. However I did hear they may discontinue this bottle but not sure if that will happen. I'm a big fan of the 1897 can't get the JD. No military bases around me. I've seen various reviews on the peg leg brand. Enjoy!!
There's a place in Rome GA a couple hour away has eagle rare constantly. E.R 49.99 750ML BUFFALO TRACE is 29.99 they had a eh Taylor for 99.99 idk what one and other one for 149.99 RockHill farms Elmer T Lee. Highly reccomend going. Its called rome tobacco & liquor. Plus they have cigars. Oh & the views through there are amazing.
