I have played with mick o Connor for many years, at weddings, gigs, and sessions everywhere, I can only endorse what the previous people have said above, a true gentleman, makes time for everybody, regardless of your musical ability, simply, you couldn’t dislike mick o Connor, no matter how you tried-his musical knowledge, and his ability to remember tunes, and who composed/ wrote them , really, really has impressed me- there REALLY IS, only One MICK O CONNOR
Saw a video on Facebook , duo of Mick playing a few jigs with Sean Casey , ( who was playing fiddle) in some pub in probably London think it was dated 2004 . Beautiful to listen to and never saw it anywhere else. It was a TG4 production, cant find it anywhere on UA-cam. Mick is very entertaining and has great sense of humour. Long may he rattle out the reels
Great banjo player enda, but he is also great at interviewing ,,, as most these blokes doing this,,, haven’t a bloody clue how to talk to folk,,, your bang on enda, 👍 get this a pernament spot lad, 👏👏🇮🇪🇮🇪☘️☘️
What a thoroughly nice man Mick is. I enjoyed this episode. Thanks Enda for these interviews. They're evolving from simply interviews, to becoming an archive for the future. Hup !!
Great interview and great channel Enda. I has the pleasure of playing with Mick in London in the late 80's. We were in a group called the Bodhran Makers, set up by Marion Gill, that included professionals and amateurs with me definitely in the latter category. We came back to Ennis for many years competing in a Groupa Cheoil type competition. True gentleman if ever there was one. Great memories

Thanks to Mick and Enda for such an enjoyable interview!
Great interview. See Anthony O Grady Shackleton song. Mentions what you couldn't remember.
Loved the album with Mick and Paddy Carty, magic!
Heaven sent in the 70's.
Kick start to times in SF.
