Ok so what if I get to the point where it wants me to select 'yes' to run the install in the car but the menu doesn't respond to touch? It's not the touch screen itself because if there's a menu option directly behind this mazda tweaks menu it selects that. For some reason, the menu itself isn't responding to touch inputs as if it's not even there.
My understanding is that at some point Mazda completly disabled the touch. With tweaks you should be able to reenable it, but not before installing. I could be wrong though. I no longer own the car.

I installed the USB tweak, but then this disabled the USB functionality and it does not read the USB when I try to install or uninstall more tweaks. Is there a way to restore the factory USB function or a way for the ports to be able to read the USB data for installs and unistalls?

I uninstalled AA from my mazda because it kept crashing the USB interface when i used reverse and the camera came on..

Did you uninstall it using the same flash drive containing the same files you used to do the install? Or do you have to wipe the flash drive clean first and then apply the uninstall?
Yes, I am also saw this problem.
But I figure that If you take other USB stick out, AA working fine then. So, If you wanna use AA, dont leave USB stick on other USB port. If you wanna use USB stick, then disconnect AA with cable. I think that AA usb port use more power that can MZD unit provide, so crash is everytime like black screen on MZD, restarting smartphone...
Mazda now is updating with AA and CP. But this is not just software update. They put now really new dedicated usb port for AA and CP: Search google for Mazda unit number: TK78669U0C
