Ca you list some of the gear used, rods and reels mainly.

We recommend to use PE8-10 popping rods with 18k size reels like Shimano Stella / Daiwa Saltiga. Jigging we use PE6-8 rods with reels with lower gear ratio like Shimano Stella / Daiwa Saltiga. There are many brands you can buy like xZoga, Temple Reef, Jigging Master, Major Craft, Zenaq, Hearty Rise, Höwk etc...
If you look for "cheaper" options for reels, you could go with Shimano Saragosa or Penn Spinfisher. But in the long run you will be better off with the Stellas or Saltigas.
