Awesome haul again Tom! Those bladder compressors were always noisy and had vibration. They were marketed for spraying paint and filling tires and such back in the day. Awesome stuff!!!!!!
For our steel business we bought an old 4-wheel drive military vehicle with a huge welder/generator in it. That vehicle had basically just sat on the base for 20+ years with only a few hundred miles on it and we only gave a grand for it......Mounted inside the custom made rear enclosure unit was an air compressor very much like that one.........Never really used it other than checking it over and making sure it was in working condition in case we did need to use it........Yours is gonna look incredible when you get it restored...........That grinder looks like a keeper to me, when I get something like that you can pretty much bet I'll keep it till the end.
I try to be selective and look for descriptions and pictures I don’t see anything interesting I try not to waste my time. Even with that they’re not all great but sometimes I do get lucky.
All great finds, but you definitely saved the best for last! It’s funny that’s what was “cutting edge” technology back in the day for doing small jobs. It makes you appreciate the modern tech we have today
Tom that's a sweet little pump and the reason it moves like that because the middle shift needs an alignment... I'm a millwright and I work with big pumps at the refineries sooo other then that what a nice find men!!
Gotta love those old Craftsman bench grinders.....I picked one up at an estate sale myself for $20.00.....3/4 hp.....Made in the early "70s.Original owner, well taken care of item....Everybody used to take care of their tools back in the day....Not like people of today who sell the above items that their parents bought for pennies on the dollar at estate sales.....Good haul.👍👍👍👍
Great haul I love that pump and grinder, I believe that pump was made between 1938-1946 I just picked up a grinder with the underline c from same Era very rare and hard to get, appreciate your videos keep up the good work.
I like the Craftsman vintage 12-point metric 1/2" drive sockets! I think the Craftsman 469015 5.5" jaw puller will be very helpful during future car repairs: it worth more than $26.00. After the vintage Craftsman V series with a B code are cleaned up, I think you will appreciate adding them to your collection. The vintage Imperial pocketknife was made in the early 1950s; the steel blades were very high quality. The 1/2 HP bench grinder was a great find!
Tom Gunn Tools.. Nice tool haul. Never seen one of those air pumps, that interesting. Can't wait to see what you do with it and the grinder. I think I need to what you said about the bearings to my bench grinder because it takes for ever to stop turning after it's turned off..
Tom my man you are absolutely killing it at the sales! Was everybody who lived around you a professional mechanic in the 60’s and 70’s?! 😂 Those are the best sales and are pretty rare here. That Craftsman 1/2 h bench grinder and air pump are fantastic! Looking forward to the resto video on those for sure. Take care 😃👍🏼
Mr. Tom that is the original vintage "Plug and Play" feature 😊👍 outstanding Craftsman Haul! I bet a bored evening in the shop with that dake.. you could come up with a ton of specialized wrenches! Great haul!!
Great deal on all that stuff those vintage craftsman block grinders are the best grinders around, have. 4 or 5 myself paid maybe 200 for all, 2 were basically new
@@TomGunnTools I work on aircraft. Sometimes I get into situations where many wrenches have to get involved. The easiest thing would be to just take the whole damn thing apart. Again. Customers pout about that solution.
I am currently watching an auction for a vintage craftsman 1/3 hp grinder. I am now going to look for a 1/2hp. Prime oil: I initially thought the oil was amazon’s oil (not sure if they still make it but at one time they made full synthetic and i heard good things.) Pump: My first thought was that the pump was foe an airbrush?
Awesome haul again Tom! Those bladder compressors were always noisy and had vibration. They were marketed for spraying paint and filling tires and such back in the day. Awesome stuff!!!!!!

Appreciate the kind words. Thanks for the info, I was thinking 1940’s on that pump. Not much info out there that I can find so far.

Lol David! Long Island was and is pretty populated and we had a ton of Sears. I feel like everybody was within 10-15 minutes of one in the hay day.

Only problem with the Dake is you want crush and bend everything! 😂
That is one cool compressor.. I was already doing a resto job on it in my head while you were talking about it.. Very cool find!! 👍 Don
Haha, looking forward to getting into it!
Another awesome haul. Enjoyed that you shared the “Turn ON” (no pun intended). Looking forward to the air pump restoration.
Haha, thanks man! 👍

The tombstone bench grinders will be around long after we are under a tombstone. 👍😂
Great haul. Can't wait to see the restoration on the air pump!
Stay tuned Jeff! Appreciate you watching!
That pump is a sweet unit! You and Scoutcrafter should make a video together restoring that. Part of his motor series.
That would be cool! I’m looking forward to seeing how that pump works. Stay tuned!
I ordered some Lewis replacement blades from a company in Chicago a couple of years ago. Found them online.
Thanks Thomas, good to know!
Air pump is pretty cool 😎
Thanks, appreciate you watching!
Really nice haul there Tom 🛠👍😊
Thanks Sparky! Hope your hitting those car boots this weekend!
For me, the Grinder is the Pearl! And it's worth the price you paid for the whole thing
It is sweet, I need to find 7” accessories now!
The different shape of the half moon wrenches are for specific engines and different operations zuch as cummins or Detroit
Thanks for the info Dale! 👍
The 1/2 horse grinder is sweet! Needs grease, like you said. I buy every half moon wrench I come across. They are kind of rare near me.
I don’t see them all that much either, snap them up! 👍👍

Happy hunting for the vintage grinder they are great. Yes, I believe you could also use that for painting.
I don't think I've ever gotten to say this before, but "first"😁...

A Lewis supply company in Ashtabula Ohio has 7in wire wheel,s & grinding wheels
Put rubber feet on pump will help keep it from walking.
That grinder sounds like an electrical fire
Gosh, hope not. Lol
Irwin makes a blade that has 4 groove's
Cool, I have to check them out. 👍👍
whats your ebay seller name? I would like to see what your selling
Bench grinder is a score. Never wear the grinder out.
Definitely built to last! 👍👍
