Over 50% of my friends have the menu and loadout glitches. There is no way this made it through QC without being encountered. I don't understand how updates still get pushed out like this. There is no accountability and no one at Activision seems to care. We have seen few apologies and no meaningful improvements in release quality.
i cant even play warzone, i go to click on warzone and the game bugs out and it loops the lobby screen over an dover againand i have to close the game. bloody ridiculous
theres no shot theyre paying to test game updates they dont give a fuck about the playerbase haha

May I ask: Why Triple "AAA" companies now doesn't care about hiring beta tester to try his games before the release? Or at least do the "minimun job" and review the game by themselves when the "job" is done?
Because profit is put before all other considerations? And too much testing costs too much money?
Because players and streamers keep playing regardless. Streamers played all day yesterday even though they couldn't play the game properly.
From a business standpoint, why spend extra money when you don't need to?
Because why make a good game when people will pay for and continue to play it regardless. Blame the ball-fondling player base.
They shouldn’t have to hire external beta testers. Proper QA and thorough UAT should catch major bugs - All of this should be done internally, like any other software release.

The devs must be utterly embarrassed with this update. They should have just waited until season 2 and LIVE tested everything properly. If season 2 is a buggy disaster as well, someone at the top needs to go. Totally unacceptable.

the biggest thing to me is it is very clear that Warzones pipeline has very very bad regression controls in place, think how many times bugs come back in later updates, it's causing more work and need to be addressed.
Yeah ive seen simlar in other games - the seasonal events in D2 often launch with a bug that they had to fix the last time round it was used, frustrating as feck
Raven have a history of leaving weapons OP.
They probably havent sold enough bundles yet. Like with the NZ or bren or stg during vanguard.

Two things: this never happen in dmz, a shame and the second point is that the released bundles in the store, they just care about the money

Why is it so hard for them to nerf the one gun meta that everybody abuses. But easier for them to nerf a gun that you found useful and nobody was using
Lmao because this has been what they do since the first warzone. Once the dmr and swarm get nerves they're just gonna break other guns and repeat this for every season.
@michaelbehrens1179 remember how fast they nerfed the 725 a few weeks ago and as well as the snake shot rounds for the TYR? it shouldn't be that hard to nerf the gun smh. They definitely doing this on purpose

@@jayintee They 100% do it on purpose. Like you said, the 725 one shot was removed from ranked withing a couple hours, and the TYR variant was removed from the game withing a few hours. They act like the have to wait for a huge balance patch to change things when they have proven that they can change guns at literally any time.
After the update, the UI was just flickering in the menu. I restarted the game 2 times, and could not get past. Ended playing one match in multiplayer instead and quit the game after that - instead of shipment they had added a new map that was just boring.
if they truly had a "standard" they would have put just a bit of QC testing in before releasing a patch... oh wait they fired all of the testers

It is very strange. My friend and I had 0 issues last night, but another friend of mine couldn't even log on. I wonder what the difference is. Maybe tonight is when it will fall apart for me lol

Oh man I'm a QA Engineer (not in gaming) and this has got to suck for the workers. No doubt they didn't get enough time to prepare for the update. Lots of these issues are so obvious I'm sure they flagged them but it was probably rushed out the door by management.
it definitely feels like a "it's going out the door today, get it done" kind of feel to it. Software Engineer here.
Suck for the developers yes, but they've been complaining that their QA team hasn't been working well enough and higher ups have told them they now have to come in studio to work instead of work from, home because work flow is of poor standards.

For such glaringly obvious errors that could have been seen in a single playthrough by QA teams, there's no way they did their job to test and report properly because there's no way the higher ups would release it in that state.
They've delayed updates before and would have delayed again otherwise.
Either somebody added something in last second without it going through QA, or QA did a bad job and tested individual things to tick off instead of final release
(Which by the sounds of the complaints about the QA team leading up to this is probably the case)
Prior to this the QA team had been given a like it or lump it offer to come into studio, or find something else and they were on the verge of striking again.
Last time an update was this bad was when the QA team were actually striking because of restructuring and layoffs.

Man I ran into all of those issues, the infinite fetching profile loop, finally got into my friends lobby couldn’t edit load outs out it will go back to the loop and in game when I try and select my load out I froze into a loop and frames dropped to basically a stand still, thought it was only me glad it’s been fixed I was ready to just delete the game

I'm not sure if this has been a problem for others but when picking up scav contracts when playing with a friend, a lot of the time the boxes would be stuck in the ground or inaccessible in blacksites
It’s happened to me too even before the update
They literally nerfed the only 4 guns i really used. The m13? Nerf. The taq? Nerf. Katt? Nerf. Mtz battle rifle? Nerf
Mtz marksman? Untouched
Wsp swarn? Untouched.
Absolutely wild how they managed to blunder the weapon patch so massively. Gonna take a few days off for them to hot fix all this mess. No one wants weeks and weeks of the dmr2.0 and swarmmania. Tired meta that needed addressing
DMZ! Holding off on adding the weapons case is at least not taking a step in the wrong direction, away from DMZ.
TYR got nerfed hard. It’s been my main in MWZ since the rifle barrel mod was re-added.
It used to be a 1-2 shot for T3 normal enemies and 2-3 shot for T3 special enemies. Now it’s 3-4 for normal enemies and 7+ for special enemies.
to pile on, one of the zombie camo challenges for the new lmg is bugged and doesnt track so I cant even get borealis on it
It’s genuinely so bad that it makes me wonder if it was on purpose. There’s no way you can convince me that a AAA studio who brags about their number of devs aren’t able to play test their updates and make sure things work… it’s almost indescribable how ridiculous this actually is

I'm gutted this update has tanked my FPS by half not increased it. Also I experienced most of the bugs you mentioned. I literally still can't play at the moment since it's still broken. And shaders won't instal. Ahhh. I hope others are luckier than me.

Something youve missed here Westie is that the mist broken update releases have always come around the time that they mess around with their QA dept.
This time round they gave a like it or lump it offer to their QA team, (which a vast majority were offered a work from home position) which was move to work in studio, or leave.
Last time an update was released this badly was wheb their QA team went on strike due to pay cuts and layoffs.
The higher uos would onky release an uodate like this if they weren't told how bad it is and if the QA team did its job properly testing and reporting it.
There's not a chance these very obvious things didnt present themselves in various playthroughs by QA.
With the state this was in, i actually agree that their QA team needs sorting out. It's embarrassing
I think you're giving them too much credit that the failures in gun balancing is a matter of incompetence, versus malice. They want new metas to be incredibly OP. If the gun is way OP and dominated immediately, people are more likely to go into the store and buy the blueprint bundle so they can use it immediately versus having to grind to unlock it/rank it. Then once they've sold a ton of those blueprints and let people go crazy with it for 6-8 weeks, nerve it, make something else way OP, and repeat. It's all about making money, they don't care about the community and what it wants. Have they not proved this time and time and time again?
Yes, and on top of things... i was one challenge from unlocking the event camo.. and i got kicked + shadowbanned. Im not really a good player yet but i f.ed up a couple of squads with the new LMG they added in plunder. Where i usually do my challenges. SO how long does it take for this to be lifted? I understand that "good" players that gets killed by in there eyes a "bad" player will call hacks and mass report you... And is it even possible to get in to a game? its stuck on 200 ping..
The loadout glitch is fixed by changing your perks on all custom loadouts you make - change it to a default one and change it back. It doesn't give you the perks you choose when you get your loadout though, but it stops the game glitching on the loadout.
But yeah, annoying issues.

Excellent point with the launch timing. They really should make new Warzone launches at least 4 months later. I'd be okay with it being 6 months after.
my friends cannot load into his profile and mine was stuck when trying to get into the lobby..but this week game was so laggy that my auto gun feels like a burst gun..i don't know what to say anymore about this game..just sad it is so many problems
I just max ranked my Amr9 and it said I unlocked weapon tuning. Where is the tuning?
Watched Doc's stream and am genuinely amazed at how one update could do so much damage to a game. The loadout flickering lock was the icing on the cake.
I really regret that I bought new MW3. Worst game ever. Extremely glitchy, nothing work properly and only became worst, not better. It's not worth $100 and time. I tried Zombies, but Zahayev stronghold does not appear on map when mission choosen. Can accomplish that. No DMZ. Story was so short like it game preview, now whole game.
No new maps for Invasion and Ground War suck too. Levin Resort has been old for a while. And some of the weapons and attachments balancing I do not care for.
Other positives of the update also were they fixed audio issues and improved that way now everyone is able to hear players walking and running around and also a big one they fixed was Skill Based Matchmaking so now everyone is getting into the right lobbies and not lobbies with just full on sweats in the game.
I've heard people talking about sbmm in multiplayer feels more cranked up than it was before.
My audio is worse then before and im an alright Player. But since a few weeks i Basically getting destroyed every game. (WZ)
My lobbies are more faster and competitive than ever this morning.
SBMM would not get modified in a title update. Matchmaking is handled by Demonware, not SH or any of the other devs. Have one good game with a decent KDR and you'll be back with the sweats lol.

They fixed the menu loop and my team mates can now get their Loadouts (I could get mine though?) but went on last night and certain guns + scope combinations makes the gun lag/stutter when you ADS? Anyone had that? Oh and the Perks lol! Mental… The lag is about the same for me.
I wish they would keep the old maps like Rush, Shipment, shoot house and Meat all the time, it would be great if they could add some new maps to War mode like in COD WW2

I couldn’t even play the game when the update came out I had the main screen looping problems and the end when I redownloaded the game I couldn’t get my weapons at all
Honestly, MWIII talked big game but did not deliver any of its promises. Losing DMZ was a big loss and people now have lost faith.

The one thing I'm most happy with so far is the increased performance I get out of my PC.
Currently running a 3070ti and Ryzen 5600X, textures on High, all else on medium. My FPS hovers around 180 to 210 at 1440p. Just leaps and bounds better than warzone 2. That shit was terrible.

I wholeheartedly disagree about pushing out WZ until March. I cannot stomach MP for more than a few weeks because of Activision’s EOMM algorithms. I’ve hated MP since MW2019.
I play in Xbox and haven't been getting points for the battle pass to actually be able to unlock the new gun. Also notice the zip line are harder to use since the new update

They should release WZ updates in March, consistent with the original release date for that mode
I agree with you about release spacing/timing but i think you're wasting your breath. convincing executives to do something from a quality perspective versus a profit perspective is a losing battle, I'm afraid.
Changing the Exfil an LTM is absolutely the right choice if it means they keep all the core BR modes all the time. Everything else was a nightmare.
This isn’t a core BR, if you want an actual BR Apex, PUBG, even Fortnite is more of a BR. This is just a last team standing gamemode at this point. Loadout drops take away all the looting you need to do to find better weapons and get people moving around the map to get better gear. That’s the reason there are so many rats in WZ compared to Fortnite or Apex. They should’ve added the covert exfil because it adds to the gameplay of the mode itself. It wouldn’t count as a win and I don’t see why it’d be such a big deal if it was considered one anyways. Anyone worried about their stats in COD nowadays is just sad. SBMM makes it so you can’t prove you’re better than others because you’re constantly going against people with the same skill. Let them add the feature before you write it off completely, it’s not like it’d be in ranked or anything.
@@AtomicPuma9 I’m absolutely going going to write it off when all they do is prioritize extra shit before fixing the problems at hand. You’re not wrong about the rats but the loadout drops is what made WZ unique, so yeah I still want those. I wish they’d actually drop them with a small UAV around them so people don’t camp them. The reason there are so many problems is because they’re trying to do too many things at once to please all of the ADHD kids that always NEED something new.
At this point just put us back on the MW2019 engine with Verdansk and be done with it.
Played today . On a third game got killed by a cheater from under the ground . This was my 6th game overall since integration of MW III so defenitely it was not a high SBMM lobby . Decided to never touch this game until new COD comes out.

These terrible CoD updates are 100% deliberate. Buggy/frustrating updates means loads of social media content with sensationalist titles (not a criticism, Westie) and millions of views, which tells 'the algorithm' to keep CoD videos in people's youtube/twitch/whatever feeds, which means CoD stays in people's minds, which - because CoD fans seem to keep buying the game or spending money in it regardless of how terrible it is - keeps money flowing to Activision.
If the game was good and all the bugs got fixed, they'd get nowhere near the same amount of exposure.
I completely lost aim assist when i wasnt host, i had to be the host yesterday for me to have aim assist, but i couldn't go into a game because of the looped playlist and i had to play without aim assist because my friend could go into a game without the loop bug, its so bad, the whole thing, even my camo grind on the Holger 26 doesn't progress because its bugged, o now i can't even get the Borialis camo...

Take a look at D3,E3 in warzone/zombies, even after the update for the update there’s a huge terrain mismatch creating a jutting grass wall/ Ukrainian trench.
I'm glad I bailed, not wanting to pay double for the same game with the same problems. Learned my lessons from Battlefields constant mistakes. Not falling for it in MW3.
Nowadays they don’t release finished products. They basically release everything in Beta and expect the public to be the testers regardless if they want to or not. I pretty much expect nothing less then devs butchering every future new update or release. They release updates that fixes bugs but they add new shit that creates more bugs. They are chasing their own tail. They need to release an update with no new content just massive bug fixes. Fix the foundation. You cant build a house on a broken foundation otherwise the whole thing crumbles
**BREAKING NEWS** Warzone update fails to fix existing problems and creates new ones!! 😅😅 Warzone should always have been a stand alone game, separate from the yearly release which is a glorified DLC. Does the game need as many weapons as there are, no, does each weapon need a hundred attachments, no, but by tying Warzone to the main game they make it almost impossible to play without grinding multiplayer to keep up with the ever changing meta. If they had half a small pool of weapons in each category with preset attachments it would surely eliminate a lot of the problems with weapon balancing and make life easier for players and those working on the game alike. Keep the store selling bundles, but make the purely cosmetic instead of being broken, waiting a few weeks for people to make them a small fortune before nerfing them into the ground and putting a fresh broken bundle in the store to repeat the process?!! They've been doing it for years and despite "outrage in the community" it seems to have become a legitimate business model for them!! Activision have no reason to risk a dip in profits, even temporarily, to give players (customers) what they want, a fully functioning game that's fun to play, when they've been making absurd amounts of money by scraping by, promising the earth and never delivering for years!!
My opinion is the glitching perks is a malfunctioning sbmm or eomm. It's a highly complex algorithm and it's difficult to get right. My 2p.

The people that should be blamed are the people that keep buying the game every year knowing what kind of company Activision is. Activision has one of the worst reputations in the gaming industry for a reason and that's never going to change if we keep giving them our money and buying micro transactions. If you really want to know who's fault it is that Activision doesn't care about quality or delivering finished products year after year; stand in front of a mirror and point the finger at the person you see in the reflection.
I find it crazy they still haven't touched snipers, for months players have been saying they should just give snipers different one shot headshot ranges or at least give the 50 cals aside from the katt one shot headshot capabilities. We're tired of only using the katt mate!
What worse is they nerfed the Katt yesterday and left the other snipers untouched

I couldn't play all day the other day. I had reWASD installed. I used the free trial and never tried it again because I knew they would ban it someday. I reinstalled the game 3 times before searching all day for a solution to get the game running after I entered the main menu. My game would crash and finally found a youtube video of people saying it was REWASD. Activision couldn't tell me this in a error message or something.... ???
