I feel your pain and frustration on the rain driving and experience with L.E. I am a retired cop. We use to be able to make decisions like this - to allow someone like your large truck to go through, but too many law suits. If the person were to suffer property damage or personal injury i would get fired becuase the driver would fault the officer for cutting him a break during the law suit with the city. And not to mention the arguement the others drivers would pose wanting to do the same , drive through in their smaller vehicles during the storm. Having a camera in my face while interacting with folks always made our conversation really short too., but i see your perspective too.

yeah I was frustrated because I jut went through that crossing and would have made it home if he had let me go but instead he threatened to give me a ticket and I ended up messing up my wife's car to get home, good to see you tw t!
