Honestly yeah. I think he was right if someone did offer to get him help rather than just saying "the heroes will come" he wouldn't have turned out the way he did.

Tbh at this point with AFO's pettiness, I wouldn't be surprised if AFO gave decay to shigaraki knowing he couldn't control it, killing his own family and forming the little murderer he hopes shigaraki would become. Remember he has already started fighting Nana shimura for a long time, could have found out that was her family and fucked around with it

As others have mentioned, the parallels between Deku and Shiggy are shown throughout the anime. Deku was chosen by All Might after he displayed his potential as a hero trying to save people. He then trained his body for a month to reach the minimum level to receive OFA. Shiggy was chosen by AFO after displaying his potential for bloodlust and destruction. He then trained for a month while fighting Machia to prepare his body. He reached the minimum requirement to receive AFO. Horikoshi wrote a pretty brilliant story. There's a lot of symbolism and parallels. You guys will love the next season.

You thought it was Machia who destroyed the city but it was me, Tomura! The show really loves the parallels between Shigaraki and Deku. And this arc kinda furthered some parallels from further back in the story. During the Overhaul arc, Deku and Shigaraki were faced with "better" versions of themselves. Deku felt inferior to Mirio. And Shigaraki felt disrespected by Overhaul. And both people they were trying to surpass essentially ended up quirkless by the end of said arc. But now, we see something even deeper. Deku's final boss during the Overhaul arc was a guy who could demolish you with a single touch. Shigaraki's final boss during this arc was a guy who could store up his power and release stronger outputs of it over time. They essentially fought each other without really fighting each other yet. Redestro talked about how he wanted to be free for so long. But that desire of freedom was just something handed to him down the family line. He was shackled by the dreams of his ancestors. So when he sees some guy he thought was trash destroy everything he'd built with a smile and no hesitation, he realized that he wasn't free. And now, Shigaraki has an army, Gigantomachia, High-End Nomu, and is going to be getting more power. You'd think being able to level an entire city in a matter of seconds would be enough but not for this gamer. I do think if anyone besides AFO had reached out to Tenko that things might've been different. Because we see that even after what he did to his family, Tenko doesn't initially want to hurt those guys in the alley. Even after they hit him. Really, the only reason he wants to hurt them is because getting hit reminds him of his father. Which is just sad. It's only after AFO tells him about how he shouldn't care about rules or morals that he gives in. If anyone else had helped that little boy in his time of need, maybe things would be different. Maybe the itching would've stopped.
The itching that’s plaguing Shigaraki is the urge to use his quirk. If he doesn’t use his quirk then he begins to scratch his skin off thus temporarily calming his urge to destroy. If you guys paid attention to the Toga episode, Curious was basically explaining that there are some quirks that fundamentally change who a person is. In Shiggys case his decay turned him into a killer, not All For One
I respectfully disagree about what caused him to become a killer. Though we don’t know why he manifested the decay quirk specifically, we’re able to infer that his itchiness is caused by his anxiety, not a need to kill. Shigaraki’s anxiety is a product of the abuse from his father and from being groomed by AFO for the majority of his life. Just because he manifested a quirk that gave him the ability to kill doesn’t mean that it would’ve been his plan. If he wasn’t made to feel unsafe at home or carry the dead body parts of his family members, he could’ve had a manageable quirk that he used for the mundane or even saving. Objectively, yes he has killed, but if we’re discussing whether AFO has anything to do with it, he definitely has 99% to do with it.
This is exactly why shigaraki hates the hero society it’s that fact that when they saw a child in the streets homeless they all thought a hero is going to help him so they ended up ignoring him…they rely on the heroes for so much and the fact that they are so quick to label them villains just bc of their quirks it’s not their fault they got that power like toga but people would still disrespect them say that their power is good for a villain like how they did with shinso.

Twice is acting like Toga is dead because he did a copy to transfuse blood from the copy to the original so the copy died.
