Warriors are always so destructive in the third quarter. It’s like they drink the MJ Space Jam bottled water every half time and go crazy in the 3rd

Difference tonight was that the warriors also pulled out there defense from wherever they left it, cause they basically scored the same point as in game 1 but cut down the Celtics points by 32 by having 15 steals and holding them up to 34%shooting from the field, the Celtics thought they are the only ones who can play ferocious defense

people need to understand that in game 1, celtics had a near perfect shooting performance in the 4th. everything was going in. You can't count on that happening again.
The thing is, with the way the Celtics have been hot and cold, on and off at times these playoffs, they kind of can. It would really not surprise me if they were to randomly pull out 2 more 30 to 40 point performances from Jason Tatum/Jaylon Brown and like 40-60% shooting from 3. All that while going really cold for 2 other games to make it 3-3 and bring it to game 7. I don't know if it's just my weird personal feelings but to me it really feels like the Celtics have been very randomly ridiculously good or only decent/bad from game to game, totally unpredictable...

That's not true, it's was perfect new tactics from Celtics. Started from defense until offence. Celtics should play the same in game 2 and forward. Curry got confused in game 1 and his team and coach as well. Green today deserved 2 technical foul which not happened!!

Exactly what was required this had to be a must win for us 1-1 go to the garden at least get one but both is crucial . Steph was spectacular especially on defense he needs to be respected in terms of his defense and Poole finally switched on . Need an aggressive and assertive Klay in the Garden 🙏💛

Gary Payton, Otto, and Belli brings the intensity as players who have more to gain and nothing to lose. That seemed to be difference. I just noticed something though Belli is 2 years younger than Horford ,same height, less NBA wear tear but quite decorated internationally.Is he better? No but he can slow him down and to play decently on switches, make correct basketball decisions offensively. They may be key to series.
Facts Belli was an MVP in the euro league, they don't give this awards to guys that don't try on defence

This was the total dominance on full display by the warriors. Not let ups, it was full throttle all the damn way. Its a shame that they had this kind of run in game 1 but slip late in the third that cost them that victory. This is exactly how they should perform throughout the whole series.

Warriors can play unselfish basketball because Curry runs the point. On the otherhand, Boston tries to plays the same but they just turns it over. Game 1 was a fluke.

Golden State crushed 'em--beautiful, but I still feel like they have a complacency problem in the 4th quarters. Toward the end of their games they get sloppy, and that's what allowed them to loose the first game. I still think they are a better team, nevertheless, this is still a huge hole in their game.

You have to know how to call a spade a spade. It's a HUMILIATION!
Everything had started well, but in the middle of the second quarter, we saw the Celtics machine suddenly start to jam:
- countless turnovers
- incalculable loss of ball on simple dribble
- midrange shots completely missed
- hasty passes for nothing and consequently, missed because imprecise or too violent
- too many balls torn off during basket breakthroughs
- release of tight surveillance on Curry. Covering Curry from three feet away is sure to get you in trouble
- loss of calm... including from coach Ime. From the first quarter to the third, the Celtics went from a calm team to a panicked team. Smart tried to appease everyone but without success
Now it's back home (TD Garden in Boston) for Game 3 (Wednesday, June 8, 9 p.m.). In matchups 4 of 7, Game 3 is always considered psychologically major. Coach Ime will have to go back to his drawing board and it might not be superfluous to devote training to midrange work and dribbling during a basket charge.
Especially the half court shot from Poole if it was in the 1st or 2nd he wouldn't make that cuz they already have the strategy to extend more the lead in the 3rd quarter.

Celtics are a fantastic team. Only problem is that they're 4-4 at home in the playoffs vs the Warriors 9-1 home record. The Warriors have an opportunity to take home court back on Wed or Fri.

I mean, the Celtics are 4-4 at home in the playoffs and the Warriors are 9-1. For whatever reason, they're not defending home court that well so far. Probably won't be quite as hard as getting a win in the bay.

The Warriors can defend as well as the Celtics but they have an edge with their offense. The Celtics need to figure out how to attack as a team not just a string of individual contributions, JT and JB need to step up their playmaking, guarding them for the Warriors is much simpler: they know both Celtics wings gonna look for their shoot first, then passing if trapped.
