That hit on tank dell is much more of an ejection than the Forbes ejection smh
Well to the NFL its not. The reason Forbes was ejected is because it was a dirty hit on a defenseless receiver to the head or neck area. The hit on tank dell was to a defenseless receiver but it was not to the head or neck area making it not a flag.

Why would the defense be punished for Tank Dell's bad route running? Maybe if he ran his route correctly and didnt stumble he wouldnt have had to reach behind himself. Nothing about that hit was ejection worthy even remotely

Its not a hit to the head or neck area. For there to be a flag it has to be a hit on a defenseless receiver to the head or neck area. That hit was not close to the head or neck area making it not a flag. Just because someone almost gets injured or does get injured on a play doesn't mean its a flag. Don't come attacking me its the nfl rules not mine

We got wrs sliding like the qbs now wtf is happening to football, offensive players leading with the crown and offensive players are now crying to refs anytime someone’s head gets grazed, and something I don’t understand is how are these all defenseless recievers the qb knows and the wr as well for the most part where we gonna be at on the field defense shouldn’t get penalized for a stupid throw, for example on 3rd and short that slot receiver if he running a slant beat know that he is gonna be shmeared by the middle linebacker the seconds he catches the ball, see my point not defenseless they know the game, stupid passes shouldn’t result in injuries but maybe they’ll learn to stop throwing em

Preach! The most highly paid players, QBs, know they are hanging their WR out to dry with most of these passes. That's not defenseless, they knowingly put themselves in open positions to get hit. They have a choice to not throw a bad pass, or the WR to not extend to catch a bad pass. We should expect more from the highest paid players to make smarter choices. We should stop the defense from launching up at heads sure, but when they drop down for a good tackle and the WR folds down like cheap toilet paper there is nowhere else the defense can hit them.

Defense is so tough. You gotta be imposing, but be smart. Be hard nose, but don't cost your team yards. You gotta prevent offense moving upfield, but can't punish them for trying. All while taking just as much punishment as the offense, physically. Damn near impossible.

Nature of the ejection aside, that Seattle-Washington game had one heck of an entertaining ending.
About the ejection, I think we're going to see a lot more calls like that soon. Similar to the Kyle Hamilton hit a few weeks ago. Seems pretty tough to avoid sometimes as a DB but the NFL would rather look harsh on head injuries than say it was bang-bang when asked about it. I'm honestly surprised the Houston hit wasn't an ejection too, he speared a sliding player - it's New York making those calls so that's what's confusing. I know people lament the downfall of the Polamalu style of defense but look at all of these CTE cases that they're even starting to find in living subjects. Just look at Antonio Brown. It's horrible. They obviously want it to be a "play the ball or don't play it at all," philosophy when it comes to pass defense, and yes, incidental contact can come out of that easily as well, but I think the general idea is to move away from using tackling to break up passes and move towards hands and smart contact. It also has a slight benefit of making games more exciting, albeit at the cost of some defensive performance. On the flip side, some of these rules changes are facilitating more dangerous offensive playstyles. QBs are holding on to the ball longer and increasing their chances of taking a hit, because they know the roughing the passer rules are on their side. They're also more likely now, with UNR being called on DBs so often, more likely to throw dangerous passes that leave the receiver vulnerable (Brady had a good interview talking about them). I don't think Geno's pass to Lockett was a death pass though and it's tough to tell if the DB could have played it a different way with any success, but at the same time, a UNR penalty isn't a smart play, regardless of whether you're ejected. So no, it wasn't intent to injure, but the NFL wants to send the message that you just shouldn't play it that way in case what happened happens.

The ejection of DB's for bang bang plays is getting ridiculous. I understand the flags but to eject a player for playing aggressively??? When a receiver changes their level it is almost impossible to stop mid strike at full speed. A few weeks ago they ejected Kyle Hamilton of the Ravens for a similar hit as Forbes.

These unnecessary roughness calls need to have WAY more foundation instead of just "the helmet hit the helmet" or "shoulder hit helmet" when they know damn well that you need to include common sense about scenarios as to WHY the contact happened, too many of these situations are plain obvious that it's not the defenders fault, due to offensive players lowering their body to force those types of contact (whether instinctively or on purpose) the usage of this penalty is a disgrace to the league and their defensive players

@@ToddDobbins it was literally from behind, coming from the same direction the offensive player was running the ball to. That is about as textbook blindside block as you can get. Even if it was legal(it wasnt) the player taunted standing over top of him as well. It was all around a bad play and the refs didn't call because they can only focus on one part of the rule book a week it seems.
