- Not a bad start to the season? Richard Lewis, contractor, has this job which involves a long haul. so lots of trailers required - and Richard has some new ones! First we see the cavalcade setting off from the yard and then in the field. Needless to say, there's more.

This is really fantastic... what a great video and a lot of Deeres in action in the new grass!! Very nice!!
Thanks a lot, Jan
hi all
Great video as always 10/10
Thank you.
This one is Amazing Alan! Much JD's and very nice road part. It's a really good season start for you:)
Thanks Hans - yes I thought it was unbelieveable!!
Great to see the start of silage season already cant wait for it to start here
Won't be long . . .
Absolutely lovely Alan,thank you.
A fair expensive outfit to keep on the road I dare say!
Oh yes, I wouldn't want even the fuel bill!
Impressive video Alan, Lovely to see the new and old moving up the road and then a little teaser in the field :P
Yes, thanks Brian. Folk don't usually watch for more than 3 mins. so I keep it small deliberately. The rest comes, eventually :)
quality video mate love seeing all those John deeres at work
Thanks Mark
There is well over a million dollars of equipment in that field. What a nice set-up. Great job Alan. He has two new machines this year doesn't he. I could tell by the header wear (lack of) on that machine that it was brand new.
Yes, there are two new and one older. The big new one was going like the clappers!
The complexity of the machinery today boggles the mind when I think that back in the 70's we did custom chopping with a 3 row JD self propelled and two JD 2 row pull types. We cut 200,000 tons per season of corn (maize) silage and we were the local "big guns" Now they are testing 20 row corn heads for these things. its amazing.
Yes, we made grass silage by 40" forage harvester, towed by MF 35 in 2nd low.
Bloody Hell. Glad to know that people are starting early. Is it only the one field. Im guessing it probably is not if the are 2 foragers and 9 tractors. Lol keep the videos coming in. I can tell that there will be a lot of good videos like this.
Thanks Josh. There were around 9 fields some of them steep (keep watching!).
Yee i know. I commented on this quater of the way into the video.
Nice parade of big green machines!
Parade is a good word for it, Andrei!
This Video is so Cool Awesome Alan!!!
Thanks Sebi.
bit like us recently we had 10 tractors drawing and two foragers because we wer drawing from a few fields around 10 mile away and then also since ther was about 600 acres to go in we had 5 tractos to 1 harvester in different parts of the land
Nice Video, Nice equipment
Thanks very much.
Good one Alan.
Thanks Hendrik.
Hi Alan. I saw his new green trailers today heading down the west on the A40. Also, saw a new pottinger 4 rotor and aerator on what looked like a french low loader wagon heading same way this evening...maybe you may catch up with that too.
Hi Hywel. No I saw no new Pottinger but one of Richard's rakes is a Pottinger.
Im sure it will be going to one of the big contractors, maybe Dan yr Heol? Was flipping wide though on the wagon...well built heavy piece of kit
Thanks Hendrik.
Good one!

Many thanks.
When there is along haul why not using triaxle trailers?
Because they are too big for the lanes and gates.
OK thanks!
He does.

Why don't you read the description before making idle comments?
Ok whatever
